You can get Chinese one and unlock bootloader to install global MIUI, a waiting time might be there (like 15days), but heard Chinese mi accounts might not need to wait.
As for price, I got mine from Amazon.it for €400, even tho it says €450 but that includes taxes which my country doesn't have, so only paid 400.
Hello now I am in china if I buy mi9 can I change to global rom?

You can after unlocking the bootloader. Also keep in mind the Chinese version don't work on certain LTE bands in some parts of the world. I bought a Chinese one and the LTE didn't work on O2 network in UK. I had to return it and get the global Mi 9, hope this helps.

The shops selling the Chinese one should have the global one as well, also check online and ebay most of the sellers selling this phone on ebay are from China, they can send you a piece on a quick delivery, keep in mind global only comes with 6gb ram and has a global rom, in order to check go to settings..... about phone and look at MIUI version it should say global, mine is "global 10.2.1 stable", hope this helps
Use the search function is the answer. It has been answered at least 10 times.
Hi,
I live in France and I'm looking for a k20 pro with the bands B20 and B28.
It seems that the Indians version of this phone is the one I need.
Do you know a way to buy the k20 pro in India with delivery in France?
Thank you for your help.

The Indian K20 Pro does NOT have either LTE band 20 or 28.
This is the official Indian website, scroll to the supported network bands.

Oh! I was thinking that I'll find those bands in this version ...
Only hope is an European release I guess...
Thank you for the tip
i think the difference between china and india version are the widevine L1 certification and the poco launcher as a stock launcher, also the package of india version is different
GApps, Google store and Google assistant are also available in the India version (I mean without touching anything)? Already included?
By the way, better go for the mi9t or the mimix 3?
Thank

mi mix 3 is 27 grams more heavy , doesn't have widevine L1 , also no headphone jack , 3200 mah , if you care about this thing , all the time Mi9T, 4000 battery, jack, widevine L1 , 730 is kind of snap 835 runs very good.
ah MI MIX 3 has OIS and better camera with gcam i think

Hi folks,
I'm interested in buying this phone. It looks like a good option.
However, I'm not quite sure that there is a global version. Anyone got this phone already outside of China and can approve that the AliExpress 'global' version actually works?
Thanks,
FM

No, there is no global version (with band 20) and it is very unlike that it will ever be. If you can live without band 20 you can buy the chinese version and flash Xiaomi.eu.
yesterday some aliexpress sellers have began to offer mi 9 lite, it's rumoured it will be cc9 global version
there's an antutu score for mi a3 pro matching the cc9
i hope they'll release it with android one
It's really a shame. It has NFC, and is a verified device for Google services, but it still can't run Google Pay with latest Google Services.
Nicky, you own it?

Hello all, earlier I have purchased k20 Pro here in India. Now I'm going to Germany for work purpose. I heard that there is already a global version k20 pro with band 20 support for European market. My question is that will my Indian variant of k20 pro work in Germany with all lte provider? If not I am left with which operator? I am planning to take lyca Sim there. If anyone from can confirm plz that will it work or not?
