Once again, I would love to try this, but am still waiting for a TWRP that will restore as well as backup.
Thanks, I'll test it soon.
Ah u have build Lineage, very nice
Just a question: why flashing a specific TWRP for each custom ROM ?

I will provide you today a working twrp version, but if you flash a rom, you have to reflash twrp image. Afaik it isn't possible, like on xiaomi devices, to keep twrp persistent after flashing a rom.
Very happy to see LineageOS out for this device, I will test it out in the next couple of days.
But one question, what about Gapps, i guess there not includet, can i simply sideload the zip package from openGapps?
ROM works great so far! Is there any chance we could get a MicroG version?

When TWRP is working properly, there is a magisk TWRP retention module, you run that, then reinstall magisk to the inactive slot, reboot, and voila!

Above is for taking an OTA
If TWRP installed and you flash a new rom you don't lose twrp but you have to flash magisk again before rebooting.

Sorry I don't want to misinform anyone. It's been a while since I've installed a new rom with TWRP. I believe you DO have to reflash TWRP and magisk after flashing a new rom. Sorry for the confusion

First off, thanks for your work. I was concerned when I got the phone and realized that the Nord and the N10 were in completely different levels in terms of ROM support but am happy to see you blazing the trail for all us N10 users. I can't wait to install your version when you finally get a MicroG variant.
Thanks again!
Hello, a feedback from me as well:
Along with the known issues with the adaptive brightness and DT2W , I experience a very strange issue when someone calls me and my phone is in the pocket.
Whenever I get it out from the pocket, my screen remains black, and I am not able to pickup normally.
What I need to do is unlock the phone and click "Answer" in the notification bar.
This does not happen when the phone is on a desk for example.
I can confirm that the "pocket protection" is turned off.
All in all, unfortunately, the OS is not stable enough yet, as there are few other bugs which appear from time to time.
Sorry for the negative feedback, but that's how it can be improved, right?

Backup in twrp and then wipe the caches and system.

Thanks for this ROM, amazing that I now have android 8.1 on this device. Only issue I can see is that OpenGapps doesn't yet support 8.1 so flashing older versions (at least when I tried 8.0) results in an error

Edit: got recovery by Terminal. When i get my root back, then i will be happy

Activate and open the Developer Settings, tick on the Terminal. Then type into the Terminal "reboot recovery", maybe you need before to type in "su". Then you hopefully can boot into your Recovery and get SuperSU.
I also cannot boot to Recovery by pressing Vol down and Power. After i flashed SU, i installed a Root App for booting to Recovery. This Solution is actually the best.
I typed reboot recovery at terminal the command cannot be found

A bug with your unit or this Rom?
this rom... no problem with lineage 14.1.....this is just a minor bug
thank You! I've been waiting from december for this, enter to this forum time to time, my tablet its gonna be so happy...
First thanks a lot for the effort!
I tried the new 15.1 build, it looks great, the only bug I recognized is ghost touches. So if I use the screen keyboard suddenly it's gone because of a ghost touch to a different screen region.
There's a developer option to show fingertipps on the screen so I can see that there's touches on parts of the screen where there are in fact none.
I don't have this behavior with lineage 14.1. on the same device (flashed back and forth between the versions).
Also there's an option to set the touch reaction time to "long" but that didn't fully solve the problem.
Thank you Very much! Great work!!

hi guys, I'm new here ...great forum, great knowledge
i would ask, if that is a general problem with the recovery.
i had an crash, don't know why, and had to reflash the tablet. so recovery via terminal was not possible.
is power +volume down now working? i would like to test that image.
thanks for help and answer ...

It is working on some pie ROMs. For example on havoc 2.9 it is working fine. And also it is working all miui ROMs. Maybe for Android 10 ROMs you need Android 10 firmware. But I think it will be released tomorrow by Xiaomi eu team. Thanks.
thanks a lot..been waiting for this for so long.
rom is very smooth, bitgapps works fine, magisk works, viper works
though its a first build, still a few notes-
- battery percentage and styles doesnt work
- network indicator in the middle cut by notch
- expanded desktop option is not accessible.
thanks
First of all thank you for your work.
I'm facing an error message on every reboot.
Also trebuchet stopped working message after changing the language and using full screen gestures.
Camera does not work (did not even try GCam as the rest of the ROM is so immature you have to roll back anyways)
GApps installation a nightmare
Whatsapp does not link with Google Account
Thx for picking up the work!!! Really apreciate it and hope it goes stable and eventually official.
Your source code link only does somehow not link your work on the rom. Can you add the device specific sources ( I guess it is https://github.com/daniml3/android_vendor_xiaomi_lavender, https://github.com/daniml3/android_vendor_xiaomi_lavender) ?
Looking at the fork history am I thus right to assume that this ROM builds on and tracks the recent developments on PE ROM?

The base of the trees are taken from PE yes
OTA update from 1/2 version to 1/3 version caused boot loop. The phone kept going to recovery. Clearing caches did not help.
I do have magisk installed. Maybe that's the issue? Clean install of 1/3 version worked fine.

LineageOS is working on a fix so addon.d will work and there wont be the needed to reinstall GApps. A workaround for using OTA is disabling auto-reboot after OTA in recovery, or just when the phone auto reboots, press volume up button to boot again into recovery.
Does this ROM need Gapps to work or can it work with microg? I tried installing LOS 16 without Gapps and I was never able to get it to boot without Gapps.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Unofficial might less stable because I'll release builds with new stuff that isn't yet merged Into official (I thought that would be a good idea for testing stuff)
Still won't release something completely untested for unofficial tho
wanted to upgrade how it's described on the lineageOS wiki, however I got an error message, followed by being stuck at a "entering fastboot..."-screen.
I will try install stock Rom and repeat install from there.
Edit:
Restarting the process with stock rom helped.
I'm trying the get the first offical nightly build installed and it gets stuck on the blue lineage os loading arch. Anyone else get it to boot to setup? I'm using lineage recovery now. I was going to go back to unofficial and twrp but twrp builds were removed from the twrp thread.

Installed yesterday without any problems. I was running the unofficial los prior. Make sure to use the matching los recovery.
Hello,
as the developpement of 17.1 has stopped I'll try in the next days with 18.1. But I have a question:
after wipe in Recovery can I update the LineageOS Recovery than reboot into Recovery and flash the LOS18.1 via LOS Recovery from my external SD-Card and after that Magisk? That's the procedure I did in the past with TRWP but as I never worked with LOS Recovery before (as well as a decrypted internal SD-Card) I wanted first be sure about the procedure.
Is it safe to dirty flash official 18.1 over the unofficial?
Thanks so much for all your hard work on this!

Sure, you could also sideload lineage and magisk but external sdcard should work too.

I already answered this, see this post
Jeez that's embarrassing. I don't know how I missed that.
Sorry I have another urgent question how can I update LOS Recovery (from 17.1 to 18.1)? In TRWP you can change into "install an image" than the recoveries are recognised in LOS Recovery there is no such possibililty you can only flash .zip files no other files are recognised.
Should I transform the image file into a zip file or how do you do that? Sorry I'm only used to TRWP

If you are still on 17.1 recovery you'll have to flash 18.1 recovery with Heimdall/Odin like you did when installing lineage for the first time.
Starting with 18.1 you are also able to flash it via fastbootd in recovery.
Thank you very much for your advice! But after my successfull update to official 18.1 including LOS Recovery I have a new problem, in devellopper modus is no longer the possibilitiy for enlarged reboot, so I can't reboot in recovery. Is this intended and if so why and is there a possibility to circumvent that? All in all I'm not very happy with 18.1 so I'm thinking going back to 17.1 which is unfortunately no longer maintained.
By the way is there a possibility to support your work - at least with some spending? I found no possibility yet

Advanced reboot setting was moved to System -> Gestures -> Power Menu -> Advanced Restart
Do you have any other problem with 18.1?

There's a paypal link in my profile if that's what you mean, thanks for considering to support me!
Thank you very much - for both information, as I said I suppose I'm getting old (72 year old grandmother...). as for the other problem I'm stuck with Nanodroid it's not possible to flash via Magisk, but that's not a ROM problem it's linked to Nanodroid. Your ROM is fine thanks a lot!!!

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Hi, Great, thanks a lot for releasing LineageOS for this phone!!
Would it be possible to add a build without gapp?
Greetings seven
EDIT:
Hey,
Have tested today, installed with their OrangeFox recovery build, Boots not, endless the Linage logo.
Thanks, that sucks
Edit:
Finally Solved with your Revovery.img + Instructions,
It was not possible to avoid the formatting.
This is what I have been waiting for, finally some development!!
Finally something pleasing for this phone. Here're offficial LineageOS device sources for Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G / Mi 10T Lite / Mi 10i, the phones use the same SoC as ours. Maybe it could help to improve your code.

I always used opengapps in the past. Recently i started using microg for better battery life and little to no tracking.

Look at this well made guide. Follow all the steps and you'll have a fully working microg install.
I'm glad to see there's active development for this device. Thanks for that.
I was looking into sources and noticed there's TARGET_CPU_VARIANT_RUNTIME = kryo385 (cortex A75 and A55) in boardconfigcommon.mk file but Snapdragon 750G is kryo570 which is cortex A77 and A55.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0.

Thank you for making this. Lineageos's been a blessing ever since the oxygenos became what it is now.
I want to migrate from another rom and wanted to ask if lineageos 19 uses oos12 or oos11 firmware.

I believe you can find the answer for that in the installation instructions.
Thank you very much for your effort!
I would like to pose a question, although it's not specifically related to LOS 19, is there a way to bypass SafetyNet without rooting the phone? I've always found very irritating to have this kind of problems with some apps, when the turth is one can expect a better longlife service with LOS than with the official OS. Yes, I know it doesn't have to do with LOS but it would be the cherry on top of the cake.
Hello, can i use twrp instead of LOS recovery or is mandatory? Just wondering, thank you.
Thank you for the update !
Sry am now on Android 13 Evolution X
Unfortunately the update does not work on my device. Entering the new recovery build just ends up in a blank screen and booting the ROM enters the crash dump mode. Updating the device firmware to the latest state did not help either.
Reverted back to the other slot without any issue, so no harm was done.
@Draylin Did you follow these steps https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/kebab/fw_update before installation of LinageOS 12.1?
Do i have DDR4 or DDR5?
Code:
D:\adb>adb shell getprop ro.boot.ddr_type
1
D:\adb>adb shell cat /proc/devinfo/ddr_type
cat: /proc/devinfo/ddr_type: No such file or directory
D:\adb>
edit:
found: 0 for LPDDR4X RAM and 1 for LPDDR5 RAM
right?

You can also try to flash dtbo, https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/full/kebab/20220825/dtbo.img. B-but if new recovery boots then you'll want to flash FW to both slots instead of just one.
I added flashing dtbo to wiki, not like it's going to hurt anyway.
If you follow all the step-by-step instructions (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/kebab/upgrade), the upgrade process works perfectly.
Many thanks to LuK1337 and the whole Lineage team for their work.
I am doing a complete reset and can't make it boot to lineageos19 at all.
Steps:
1 - Flash dbto
2 - Flash recovery.18.1
3 - Sideload lineageos 19
4 - Reboot to recovery again to install MindGapps
5 - Blank, I can't go again to the recovery screen at all
