Any one noticed that scrolling through the Google feed has some stutters/jittering?
It is noticeable if you scroll slowly.

Yes, it's something to do with the feed and not the OS. I think this issue was (and probably is still) discussed in Pixel threads.

How you fixed it?
If I scroll fast I don't notice it, but scrolling normally/slow I can see jittering happening.

I've noticed a few apps seem to really display awkwardly with CM7 on the Nook. They run in what looks like a little tiny window on the top of the screen. The Engadget app is one such example.
Is there a fix or workaround for this?

I did search, but with the 45+ threads that came up when I searched for "app problem" I think I missed the other one.
Thank you for the reply fix though.
A lot of these things could be handled by a simple sticky that says "common problems and the solutions" right up top! LOL
I have flashed KL7 and found that really smooth then before at Stock Browser when scrolling. However, for scrolling, it's now become not fix for horizontal and vertical at same level(just like Opera). Is there any way to fix the same level when do horizontal or vertical scrolling just like the verison before? Thx
I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but I do notice too that with KL7 everything is silky smooth, but the browser now almost feels TOO smooth in that now quickly flick-scrolling causes the pages to scroll in a zig-zag fashion now where previously the pages would smoothly scroll downwards. If there was any way to get back previous scrolling behaviour of the browsers pre-KL7 I'd much prefer that too!!
yeah, that zig-zag movement when scrolling is not the best we can get. Anyone having a solution for this?

Download Opera Mobile. It also uses hardware acceleration.

yes, I also mean this issue. I like to use with "Auto-fit pages" function at the stock browser so we just need to scroll up and down vertically, no need to adjust horiziontally. I need the zig-zag movement only when I long press the screen to scroll is OK.
I am afriad Samsung cancel this scrolling behaviour is due to "Apple Patent" as I remember this is also a "Apple Patent" too. Hope it is not true.
Unfortunately, I also find that "stock browser suddenly lag" issue still exist at KL7. Need to kill the browser process and re-open to fix the lag issue. It seems the stock browser always suddenly lose hardware acceleration and caused the lag. The only way I found yet to fix the issue is to restart the browser. Is there any way to fix this issue too? thx.
I've simply extracted the browser from KL3 to my KL7, that solved the problem perfectly.

Hi all,
Is anyone else having issues with the stock gallery app where when you try scroll through your camera roll or list of images, it becomes very erratic and stuttery? It's most noticeable to me when I try multi selecting images and scroll through to select more images.
Have updated to the latest version of the gallery app too.
Cheers.

No issue here, not even with multi selecting and scrolling.

Nope. Scrolling in Gallery and Photos is silky smooth for me.
Try giving your screen a clean. I know that sounds stupidly simple but I've found that has worked on my Note 3 in the past.
I'm wondering whether it's my screen protector causing the issue. I don't think it is though because it's only happening in Gallery.
Some others are facing the same issue and some others aren't. Weird.
Yeah, it's weird that it's only happening in the Gallery app. Maybe clear the cache for Gallery.
thanks mate, i already tried that. I've narrowed it down further too. When scrolling through PICTURES tab, it works fine, but if I try scrolling through ALBUMS that's where it starts to have issues with scrolling.
I answered this in another thread. If you have Bixby Remapper installed that's your culprit. Hope that's the case as it's an easy fix

Helped me too! It was driving me insane. Removing Bixby remapper fixed my gallery stutter issues. Thank you!! I registered just to post this. You fixed a major annoyance for me.
Samsung- Stop forcing crap down our throats. I don't want bixby, hell, I don't even need the physical key for it. You're pushing me into a pixel.
Open Google search widget and type in Tom Hardy. The results will load multitude of cards at the top. Those are very laggy. My nexus 7 from 2012 is much smoother, and Samsung's Internet browser is completely smooth with the same cards. But Google search app is like 2 fps when those a cards are on the screen.
Any fix?
Thanks.

My mother had this issue and it was like a build up of cards from previous searches. What I did is look for a setting that puts the results from a Google widget search into an external browser.
Settings>Google>Search>Accounts & Privacy>Open web pages in the Google App, (turn this off.)

Thank you, sir. You gave such a perfect and precise explanation, that I have to give you props. The suggestion didn't do anything though, but it was easy to check. What amazes me is that you seemingly suggest that you have no such problem. My Pixel XL has zero problems, my Nexus 7 has almost no problems. My gf's Tab S2 has exact same problem. What is happening here?

No problem Nabbed. :highfive:
I probably didn't understand your problem correctly. Are you able to describe it differently or include some screen shots?
For the record, I have no issues at all with my T715. It's ran perfectly for the last 1.5 years. :victory:

Thanks for the video Nabbed.
I see what you mean with the lagginess of the scrolling.
As I'm at work, I don't have my Tab S2 connected so I tried the same Google search using the home screen widget as you did on my One Plus 3. It lagged when I first scrolled down, then was silky smooth going up and down.
Will take another look when I get home on the S2. Why don't you just conduct your searches in Chrome until a solution is found?

Yes its like the Google app uses a poor version of Chrome to display its results. Suggest you set your homepage as Google in the Samsung Browser and just search from there.
Personally, I use habit browser, (which has an unbelievable amount of settings.) Once configured, it flies through websites and only ever displays the PC version of pages.
Just tried it now at home on my T715 and it was as laggy as hell. Probably even worse than the YouTube video. :crying:
I have just had CPH2305_11_A.18 pushed to my UK X5 Pro with the April security update and now scrolling in the Google play store is unusable, It's a complete stuttery mess!
I've rebooted twice and still the same, It's so bad It's unreal and not been tested.
This has to be to be down to these stupid LTPO displays messing about with the refresh rate constantly and what makes matters worse OPPO do not have any option whatsoever like Samsung to force 120Hz all the time whether it's in the display options or dev options.
Can someone test this out with the new update, It's a total mess for scrolling in the play store now since the update.
How do we report bugs to OPPO?
Weird it seems to be a little smoother now, I still don't think this variable refresh changing is helping to keep things smooth.
Hey, just tested play store. Yes not the smoothest experience. Seems to get confused between down and sideways swipes. It works fine on an actual list of items.
Glad to see the power button can now actually be a power button. They're clearly listening

Yes it wasn't like that when I got the phone it was smooth in the play store and 100% correct it keeps scrolling sideways even though I am not, No Idea what's going on but it seems a right mess to me.
For sure I was definitely missing that feature with the power button and now they have fixed that at least, I guess they take users feedback which is a positive.
hi there,
i use this to force the 120hz all the time, dont know if will help you with your problem.

Hey thanks for that I think someone else suggested that which worked for YouTube but I wonder if this is a newer version and works with Instagram also I'll give it a go thank you!
Updates seem to always have a processing period where the first few hours/days would have issues in lag. Once the update has finished (including adapting to other apps), it works better.

Apparently, it takes time for the 3rd party apps to adapt to the new update. It is especially true when you're in Beta version.
i agree there are micro stutters gitters throughout the ui on new update. like pulling down notification panel also.

That app doesn't work for me Google photos is a slow refresh rate, but if I use the one from the Video it works great.
The stutter like pulling noticificafion bar down has always been there with the Video app even after factory resetting :/
