I've had this ME176C unplugged and in its box for about two years or so, the battery is almost surely dead. When I got it it would not turn on, even while plugged in it would not display the charging animation. So today I tried plugging a working battery to it and pressing a combination of buttons I do not remember (volume up or down while holding the power button). To my surprise, it turned on, so something kinda worked. Now I'm on this UEFI looking screen, I don't have an OTG adapter in hand so I'm not able to browse the interface. Has this happened to anyone here before? How can I recover this?
Following the instructions on https://github.com/me176c-dev/me176c-boot#recovery I was able to bring up fastboot. However I'm not able to flash the ESP partition. Any ideas on how I could fix this? Utimately I would like to flash the stock ASUS OS, but I'm not sure how I can do that only with fastboot access.
Code:
# fastboot flash ESP esp.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'ESP' (33792 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.219s]
writing 'ESP'...
FAILED (remote: flash_cmds error!
)
finished. total time: 1.301s

Help me please
Have you installed a recovery?
To check this, hold down both volume +/- buttons and power button as well. The screen will go black (phone restarting). As soon as the screen goes black, release the power and volume + buttons but keep volume - down. This will take you to stock recovery. Go down to 'recovery' and if you have installed a recovery it will take you there and I would do a factory reset and see if your phone starts.. If you haven't installed a recovery, carry on reading...
Are you familiar with fastboot? If you haven't installed a recovery then you can use fastboot to install one from here. You will need the relevant drivers, recovery img to proceed. I would recomend starting from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974097.
After you have installed the recovery, do a factory reset and see if this gets your phone working again. Good luck!
Just a guess, but incase you also tried to remove the "Bootloader Unlocked" message like me yesterday:
This should help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2310012

used the phone normally, crashing from time to time when i try to use chrome on android
picked up the phone yesterday and found the phone stuck in this screen (of course, with the yellow triangle)...
so i pulled the battery and attempted to restart
symptom:
total black screen, no sound, no vibrate
pressed 3 button combo, cannot go to recover mode, cannot go to download mode
tried adb:
using the same computer that i flashed CM10.2 (that means that it should have the same driver that could have driven the phone), and
Code:
adb devices
shows an empty list of devices
downloaded and installed 19April2013 driver, and
Code:
adb devices
shows an empty list of devices
installed kies, and

Hello. Today i booted my S5. It wen't good and didn't face any problems doing it. After that, i removed some applications that i don't like with a program. When i was done with that, my phone kept giving me a strange error. I though i deleted something wrong and decided to repair it somehow. Downloaded FonePaw for Android to my PC and repaired my phone. During that, suddenly the program stopped and i disconnected my phone to the PC (i know that was a mistake). Now i can't boot my phone. Nothing happens when i try to turn it on. When i try to get to he download menu, Samsung logo stays in screen for 5 secs then an error pops up in the screen for about 1 sec :

Tip: If the data recovery is completed but your device keeps in frozen stat. Please restart our product and connect your deice, the program will prompt you to exist recovery mode"
I don't know what to do now. Thanks for your help in advance.

Bump
Despite i don't own this device, i can try helping:
you could try to get out of fastboot by pressing all of the hardware buttons (always works in my case) and the phone will attempt rebooting.
Not sure if this whole dm-verity disabling caused the device to go numb (i own one with dm-verity) and it gets a bit hard when i used to try and flash a different custom OS by disabling storage encryption.
Not even aware if this thing involves reflashing again the firmware, but i found a neat post that could disable dm-verity for every android device
Edit:
in case of struggle with reflashing stuff and start all from scratch, MTKClient can be of help
Hey all,
I am very inexperienced with custom OS on Android and I was trying to install a lineageOS so that I can run octoprint on my tablet for my 3d printer. In doing so, I somehow deleted the stock OS.
Now my device either flashes the samsung logo (if I boot normally) or it can get to the download screen if I hold Power + Home + Vol Down. But I can't seem to get my computer to find the device, so I can't connect it with Odin. Do you know of any guides or threads you could point me to? Or how to fix this?
My model is SM-T713.
Thank you
I downloaded the stock firmware from here - https://github.com/ivanmeler/SamFirm_Reborn/releases/tag/0.3.6.3
I am trying to use odin to reflash it to my device, but it seems the device isn't being found.

Pressing Start in Odin does nothing. Is there something I am missing?
Fixed it, kind of. It was a bad cable. Switching out the cable allowed Odin to connect, it downloaded and passed, but it is still stuck on the samsung logo.
