No luck. I'm thinking we need root first. Darn.
I'm pretty sure we'll have root shortly.

Hi there!
I would like to ask you guys for the link to downloading the official Google Plays store for the Kindle Fire HD?
Please advice. Thanks.
p.s.s so far the links i found on the internet is either "unsuccessful" or is a dead link.
There's a link to latest Gapps in Hashcode's CM10 thread in development forum. When you click that link it shows a table of the Gapps past and present, just pick what you need
Edit: oh and you need to flash whatever you pick in recovery
from my Viped out one x
Sorry can't find it.

I keep this page for Kindle Fire owners and others. I keep and try to maintain the latest apps. http://androidcowboy.com/android-apk-files-download/
Hmm....seems to be not working on my Fire HD. It got installed but when i click it it just blinks and then nothing happens.
Is there any way to root this device without factory cable?
I´ve tried all the methods. All root with restore versions but nothing. It always comes to the same outcome.
mount: permission denied (are you root?)
any ideas? thanks in advance for any help, and sorry for my english
No,
there is no way to root the 2013 KF HD without a fastboot-cable.
Further, CM11 is also not working for this device. I hope @Hashcode is working on that, but I heard nothing about that for a long time.
A little tip:
Because XDA won't create a sub forum for the soho model, some committed people created a g+ community. There are much more informations regarding this device.

Help
I have a fastboot cable, but can't find any roots for the current version (11.3.2.4). Some links would be much appreciated.

Wrong man, go to G+ and find the KFSOWI Modding community, where's a tool called Kindle Suite that with this tool you can root 11.3.2.4 :good:
Hey,
I found a German thread here where the managed to root the latest Fire OS Version, see http://www.android-hilfe.de/amazon-...s-4-5-2-funktioniert-root-ja.html#post8436942. This post links to Firerooter (https://plus.google.com/+GranPC/posts/W412cQkHTCw) which is a tool to root the kindle HD 7. Isn't it possible to use this method to root also the HDX 7 with Fire OS 4.5.2? I'm asking cause I'm not so familiar with android developing, but maybe some experts here could answer the question and if possible port it for the HDX devices.
Greetings,
Alex

Hi everyone
I bought lenovo legion duel a month ago, I was surprised to find out there is no custom roms available for this phone.
I am not a pro developer i did build few roms so i will need other developers help who are interested into bringing custom rom to lenovo legion duel.
There is no device tree, i did manage to get the kernel source and i have it on my github, If any devs willing to work with me please do pm me.
I am not responsible for any damage caused please backup before testing.
Port twrp 3.6.9-2 i need testers to test it since my phone is not rooted for now as its my main device.
Thanks to @Augustoandro for the guide which I followed.
Create twrp without source
Download
twrp-3.6.2_9-0-moba
Kernel Source
https://github.com/Syn7ax3rror/android_kernel_lenovo_moba
Where is the device tree & kernel source?
@notnoelchannel ,
kernel source is here and I believe there was reference when glancing through a repack of the kernel of the device tree being very similar if not the same to zippo (Z6 pro).

There is no device tree yet but kernel source is on my GitHub https://github.com/Syn7ax3rror/android_kernel_lenovo_moba
If anyone know how to create the Device tree or can guide me please pm me so I can build custom ROM for our device.

I followed this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-porting-twrp-without-source.3843473/
I think you should repost this in development instead of here as news discussions and guides. It might get more attention for those willing to test it.

I don't have this device, but the following 2 scripts/tools might help generate a barebones device tree with the basic information to help you get started.
I have used to generate TWRP device trees
https://github.com/twrpdtgen/twrpdtgen
but not
https://github.com/ShivamKumarJha/android_tools
Here's the various device/vendor repos generated from his script
https://github.com/AndroidBlobs
If you search for Lenovo, you will see some samples.

Tested with the CN model, unfortunately the phone would stuck on first screen with TWRP flashed to recovery partition.
I know this will probably sound rude but did you test it yourself? I mean there's no screenshots nor guides to flash it on the device, seems to be a really strange release imho.

No hurries, and I wasn't trying to blame you for that issue. Things like this happens in development, and maybe I didn't flash it correctly. Anyway, it'll be most helpful for you to update OP to include a guide.

I will do that later today it's 3 am over here.
Lenovo is doing a really really bad job at not providing at least security patches let alone new android version, We are stuck at A11, People with way older devices got A13.
I will definitely look into it as soon as I finish my exams.
