General Totally unhappy with my redmi note 10 pro

I purchased remi note 10 pro last month. And I am totally unsatisfied with this device. Currently it's on miui 12.5.4
Many things are not working properly, such as,
*if I am on Facebook and I need to messege someone. I go on his profile and tap on message, the messenger doesn't open up, and also it doesn't show any app option to choose from.
*If anyone send me any doc on whatsapp, the phone just freeze, and there is no option to choose how I want to open doc file.
*The Google dialer is a ****, it have to Hassel too much to find my contacts, as previously I save multiple number of same person name.
Whenever I open recent, it take me to 2days old logs, while I need the recent logs.
* The back camera, whenever I open in low light, it looks like I am using yellow filter over my camera.
*This **** device doesn't even have any vibration. Even the device is beside you, you won't notice if it's vibrating.
* Battery drains a lot when the device is not being used.
* Wtf is this work profile in my phone, I tried so many times to turn it off, it doesn't off.

*I can't attach doc in my email.

Exactly my opinion in the first days!
But now with custom os and gcam it's not perfect but much better and smooth usable.
I recommend to unlock bootloader, twrp, flash eg arrowos or like me coltos and root.
Then tiger gcam...

No. Current MIUI OS on Redmi Note 10 series is currently very buggy and glitchy.

No issues with my 10 Pro (Sweet), no battery drain, so far its OK (miui.eu 12.5.4 rom). My only criticism is its weight and bulk. Its not my favorite phone, in fact liked the 7 Pro better.

And don't forget the crazy proximity sensor.

I have always bought Xiaomi devices over the years and ditched MIUI at the first possible opportunity in favor of custom ROMs but in my father's RN10 Pro I have to put up with the ****ty MIUI as custom ROMs reportedly are buggy. I stay in a different state so if anything goes wrong it would be a big problem for my father who isn't very tech savvy.
Even after disabling MIUI Optimization background apps like Accubattery, Tasker etc. are evicted from memory after some hours which is the main issue. Battery Saver is disabled of course. Another issue is the device failing to go to Deep Sleep after some days which is only fixed after a reboot. At least the idle drain in the former scenario at 2%/h isn't horrendous which is something.

well look like you have bought a mdm device( corporate device), that why some functions dont work, you should try to flash a new firmware on to it to disable the mdm and use normally or return it to the store

How can I find out if it is a MDM device? I just bought the RN10 Pro and looking for a good custom rom to install as soon as possible.

If you want to stay with MIUI, you could unlock it and try xiaomi.eu. I'm running xiaomi.eu v13.0.15. It seems mostly fine to me. It uses the MIUI dialer, messages, and contact apps instead of google.
I'm pleased with the Note 10 pro with this setup. My old Note 4x was also good, running LineageOS.

As I'm in Germany I guess it will have the eu Version of MIUI. I will change as soon as possible. As I will have warantee, I will only change if it is a stable, official custom rom. I prefer LineageOS as I use this since it came out for my RN7.

xiaomi.eu is a custom rom, it's not official MIUI for the eu. I liked LineageOS on my Note 4x. But I think the camera is best using the stock MIUI camera app that xiaomi.eu also has.

ah ok, thanks for clarifying. I guess I'll wait till LineageOS will be available. Just got my RN10 Pro and it is updating to 13.0.16.0SKFEUXM. Right now things look fine, just need to figure out how to get back the old settings view. I miss too many things that I used to change.

Unfortunately, it happens when the phone is unplugged...
I just tested 60hz and it's not as hot...
It seems that 120hz adaptative IS causing that..

But why on lower part of screen? Could be a damaged unit....there is nothing behind....charging port and few cables.... literally....
If you have warranty try to claim it...
Try running 90hz....best compromise.... Search for setedit - no need to root.... It may be best....for me it works...better battery and no human will see difference between 90 and 120

Mine is also heating in that area without being plugged.
Really weird, since I'm running stock 12.5.7.0.

I hope next update is going to correct it ...
People say that 12.5.8 / 12.5.9 are reducing the heat

Well, that's the only thing I can think off. Also, most likely the heat is present on more devices, but people just consider it "warm" rather than heat.
Being on the lower bottom of the screen hides it really well too, as that's not the most interacted part of the screen.

- when running big apps
- when app(s) drain the battery a lot

It happens everytime i am scrolling on social médias ( tik tok, twitter, Facebook, Instagram...)
I'm not gaming at all
When I'm watching youtube or Netflix, the device is cool !
I think it's a refresh rate issue..
My SOT is around 5 hours

To be fair, in the last 3-4 OTA updates, I haven't done a clean install. (Didn't wiped and format data since I bought the phone).
Refresh rate seem to be a logic reason for it.
Also, a while ago I played with an app that was allowing to change the refresh rate to 90Hz, but it was somewhat buggy and I switched back to 120Hz ever since.

I tried Factory reset and Hard Reset several Times but nothing change...

Guys I just noticed that when I'm outside, next to the ventilator or in a room that is not that hot : my Mi 11 doesn't overtheat AT ALL

I'm having an question, maybe I'm not alone with that issue, I mean, in my opinion it's an issue.
I got my Chinese 10 Pro yesterday, Panda White and the OOS ROM is already installed, so no problem with that at all.
I use QHD resolution and the display size is set to smallest one.

As you can see, all icons and text are small, thin, it looks just good.
But now look please at the Camera UI:
Everything is in bold, extremely big, text, icons, toggels. It doesn't matter what kind of settings I'm using, QHD / FHD resolution, display or even text size. It seams that this settings doesn't affect the camera ui. I feel a bit like an 70 years old grandfather with eye problems.
Can anyone confirm? Am I alone with that? And if it's already known, is there a solution?

Good to know that I'm not alone. I've reported it on the OnePlus comm. as an issue. I hate the it.. ..it's so ugly..

my DPI always resets after a reboot. I'm using QHD+ with 587 dpi

That's also happening on my 8Pro. No big deal, I've only rebooted twice since when I got the phone anyway

I didn't set DPI by my self manually, but there is an other option in dev. settings about the default usb behaviour, and everytime you connect the phone over the usb port with an pc, the setting is gone.. seams it's still buggy this phone..

Font size is fixed in camera ui but u can change fonts which are smaller from setting. U r right that is actually an issue.

I've found for the best battery life FHD is the better choice, also better for performance, also fluidity and honestly you can't tell the difference, unless you're a Kestrel or a Sparrowhawk or some kind of amazing predatory bird.
For the average user i see no point.
If it was a 65" TV then yes I see the point but for 6" ? No, the difference is negligible.

How do you actually add more fonts? I'd assume you need to be rooted?

As far as I know, the only way is via a Mkagisk module, which requires root.

For people on eu who want fonts need to be applied from the store on eu rom. More button still doesn't work correctly even with store installed.

Thanks for your answer, it turns out that I am in a country where my operator is not approved so those options do not appear, I had an op8 pro which was done by the logkit method in oos 11 but with oos 12 log kit does not work if anyone knows a method of forcing them I am very grateful.

Mine just worked from the off. It does turn off from time to time, depends where I am

If anyone knows how it can be done, it would be fantastic.

No. As far as I can tell, at least till now there's no way unless we root the phone.

This is honestly unacceptable how major features like this are deactivated due to nobody taking ownership. This vendor is becoming a joke. I recon this will be my last oneplus phone. Might as well pay a few extra hundred dollars and mitigate the risk of bricked functionality.

Forget it. Since July 2019 that I'm asking them for an official Logkit that give us the switch to enable VoLTE.
They said that it might be my ISP that didn't activate it, then when I said to them that Vodafone Portugal had successfully activated it even OnePlus smartphones weren't on their "white list", they simply didn't care and never sent it to me.
Then I found the Logkit here and I successfully used, without ANY issue, till I updated to Android 12, 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Always an HTC client (well done HTC... ) and this is my first, and unfortunately the last, OnePlus smartphone.
I really like this 7 Pro; it still works very well and it doesn't have punch holes or any sh* for the front camera (which I don't use) so it has been perfect but the behaviour from OnePlus regarding VoLTE and updates. Remember how they bragged in September 2019 for releasing an update right after Pixel phones. After that was the disgrace we've seen with late updates, stable updates with bugs (don't quite understand the intention of having a beta program if some bugs on the stable version we're reported since beta 1 in some cases I read in the OnePlus community).
They simply don't care about their customers (only the ones that are always licking their... well, feet.
Now, it's funny to see the path they are going, being more and more swallowed by the mother company.

I agree with everyone in this thread. I have the exact same experience with VoLTE and VoWLAN suddenly not working any more because of the update to OxygenOS 12.1 after many years of it working flawlessly.
And I have the same oppinion about OnePlus and the 7 Pro.

Hello guys I bought Mi 12 lite last month and when I received the device, I noticed that there was a problem with the device and I reported it to xiaomi and they told me to send it to the service. About 10 days after I took my phone to the service and gave it to the service, the service said that the software was installed on the device and the problem was fixed, I went and bought the phone, but the error continued, so I contacted it. I sent it back for service. Mi 12 lite was out of stock and I was very disappointed so the brand offered to give me a higher model and now I have xiaomi mi12 pro and I see the same problem in it. When the battery percentage drops below 55%, the settings section looks strange and the back of the control center does not fog up, normally it should be steam... If anyone has encountered this problem and solved it, can you explain how you did it?

The phone is up to date.
May be a bug with the dark mode or with the theme if it is not the default theme.

Not at all, if it is indeed a bug, it will be corrected with an update.
But maybe it's like that with dark mode.
I don't have a stock rom so I can't test but wait a bit for feedback on this subject.

yes, when I go to the battery section from the settings section, I see the settings icon at the top right, but because the dark mode is a bug or malfunctioning in the battery saving mode, I keep the turn on dark theme feature off when in battery save mode.

I have the same phone, using the same version of the ROM, with the stock theme and I don't have such a problem.
The only difference is language. Try changing to English...

still the same problem persists I don't think it's because of the language, maybe the phone is faulty? but even so, I had 12 lite a month ago and he had the same problem, so in this case, I'm not sure if the phone is defective or not... because if this problem was on the phone i don't know if i would have the same problem with the 12 lite or i am so unlucky i found two phones with the same problem

It is obviously something you have done on both phones. No one has that problem, which you got on two different phones. So...

Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair.
I was a beta tester (and still am, but in different field) and I have learned that when only I have a problem, while none of other testers has it, then it must be my fault.

So, Am I the cause of this error? ... So what should I do in this situation?
Edit i have a solitions:
If you turn off the battery save mode completely, the problem disappears, and I solved it by downloading the hidden miui settings application on google play, but the problem is, is the device or the miui faulty? I still don't understand
