CLEAN FLASH :
Download the Build you want to flash, there are two variants(GAPPS AND VANILLA)
Place ROM.zip , Gapp , TWRP installer.zip & OOS 10 OTA.zip in OTG​
Boot to TWRP​
If you are in A slot Flashing will go B if you are in B slot Flashing will go A (Keep in mind)​
Now connect OTG, press install select storage and Flash OOS 10 OTA.zip _ And see in which slot it is flashing​
Now install TWRP Installer .zip​
Reboot to TWRP from TWRP_ Now your slot must be changed​
Now connect OTG, press install select storage and Flash OOS 10 OTA.zip _ And see in which slot it is flashing​
OOS 10.zip should be flashed in both A & B Slot​
Now install TWRP Installer .zip​
Reboot to TWRP (Optional)​
Press install and flash ROM.zip​
Now install TWRP installer.zip​
Reboot to TWRP from TWRP​
Flash Gapps.zip​
Flash Magisk (Optional)​
Select Wipe and just swipe to wipe data​

Guys, Z and I are working together on this ROM at this time, I will compile a microg version as well, for now it looks like only vanilla has been uploaded. We will have to add another link for gapps build I think.

Use Nikgapps omni from 25/10

I absolutely love the design of this ROM!
but 1 complaint I have is, maybe it's just my device, but the battery life doesn't seem to good.

Might go back to lineage kernel in the next update, we'll have to see. But you should check your setup for better battery life would be best. It's doubtful the rom is at fault there. Give it some time maybe?

Use NikGapps Basic. You can search it on Google. I don't recommend using OpenGApps anymore

where is capacitive buttons customization? did i miss a settings?

i dont understand why some many android 11 version, while the freeze bug is still there, and no one develop a decent stable android 10 version.
what is the point of have android 11 if you cannot use as daily driver because of the random freezes?

please add rounded corners. dot os is one of my favorite roms and it works great.

I tried it today and working here too

This Custom ROM, dotOS 5.1, has two zip file versions to download. I chose zip file with gapps and everything is working good.
One doubt: when I'm on lockscreen and swipe qs tiles down qs tiles background is on transparency color. Is it normal? I don't know where i change it.

Make nandroid backup (Not Necessary, but just in case if you lost somewhere)
Perform Factory Reset/Format
Choose - Apply update from ADB
then sideload the lastest build - adb sideload latest-Build.zip
package sideloads till 47% and you can skip Signature verification.
Reboot to System
DIRTY FLASH :
Download the latest build
Reboot to recovery
Flash the latest build
Wipe Cache
Reboot
If you're coming from Stock OxygenOS - check here

There should be no problem using orangefox. If you don't want to use gapps install the vanilla version instead if you need gapps install the gapps version

Only bug is not working Device Settings in this version, but I released other builds with working XiaomiParts (https://github.com/ririxidev/dotOS/releases/tag/v5.1.2-beta).
Recovery depends on you, but OrangeFox is recommended.

GCam doesn't have option to save stuff to SD since Pixels don't have SD card slot. You can use GCamTool from gplay

DotOS is quite good, i´m not missing anything.
Perhaps I´ve found a bug with Airpods.
On an incoming call, the ringtone with connected Airpods only works for a fraction of a second, then it stops.
Everything else is fine like audio, calls, gestures.
It works on havocOS and also with my iPad.

It doesn't happen only with AirPods. It happens whatever Bluetooth device you have paired and it happens in many ROMs. Not only on DotOS.

Are you planning to go to version 5.2? It seems like it hasn't been updated for a while.

In the DotOS website, it says there is no maintainer anymore... Did you stop working on this device just today?

Freshly installed yesterday: in the cherish settings the menu themes, animation and miscellaneous open but don't show anything.
I never tried cherish os before but in this version is missing face unlock and a native AppLock.

Hope u understand the meaning of beta releases. In beta releases, dont expect all the features to be there. The themes, animation and Miscellaneous have been intentionally left blank and will be added in future releases. As far as faceunlock is concerned, no custom rom for any device has added it yet. If u want 100% features wait for stable release or use cherish 2.10 which is based on Android 11. For A12 to be stable it will take time. Have patience.

I know I was only saying cause being a beta2 I thought I was going to have them even if a little glitched. And as a tip I'd put a native AppLock because CherishOs is the only custom ROM that I have ever liked through my 7 years of modding.

Good to know u have been associated with cherish since so long. Stay Tuned for stable release and hope v continue serving u better

I thought A12 could not be flashed by twrp but, if I understood well, it can be on CherishOS right? I'm on miui stock.

U can flash any A12 rom with twrp or ofox recovery. By the way u say u r on miui stock, so are u a redmi user. This thread is for realme 5 pro.
