i have a kindle fire hd 7 (i believe its 2nd gen) model# on back cover says x43z60. Messing around with unlocking software, i attempted to unlock bootloader and when it rebooted, the screen went black (as expected) but then it never came back on. its not being recognized in device manager. nothing comes up on the kindle screen. it appears to be completely bricked. upon searching for solutions online, i ended up purchasing usb microB breakout board (from sparkfun) to build my own "factory fastboot cable". after following the directions for using it, i still have NOTHING. lol so i took the back cover off, disconnected the battery for a couple hours, plugged it back in and still nothing. i have also tried everything, from holding power button down for 20seconds, 30 seconds etc... and nothing. then i noticed on the mainboard some writing that peaked my interest, thinking it may help with unbricking this device. see attached picture.

used the phone normally, crashing from time to time when i try to use chrome on android
picked up the phone yesterday and found the phone stuck in this screen (of course, with the yellow triangle)...
so i pulled the battery and attempted to restart
symptom:
total black screen, no sound, no vibrate
pressed 3 button combo, cannot go to recover mode, cannot go to download mode
tried adb:
using the same computer that i flashed CM10.2 (that means that it should have the same driver that could have driven the phone), and
Code:
adb devices
shows an empty list of devices
downloaded and installed 19April2013 driver, and
Code:
adb devices
shows an empty list of devices
installed kies, and

shows an empty list of devices

I plugged it in 12V5A power in house for several hours to fix itself but it still stuck on white screen.
to be Clarify- white screen is also on boot logo and on recovery mod
does anyone knows how to fix it?
thanks in advance.
after openning the device by removing one screw at the back and two screws at the sides, then you remove the DVD drive by removing 4 screws.
then 2 screws at each side to remove the screen and you need to disconnect and reconect the big white cable from the board to the screen.
this works for me
Hey all, my girlfriend dropped her HTC Desire 626s in the bath about a week ago, and from what I can tell it seems to be working hardware wise, it was dropped a couple other times before but not into water. What happens is it boots straight into the HTC download mode (picture A) and only changes state if I hold the power button and volume up to which it boots into a different BIOS like screen (picture B). In the download mode, only the power button seems to work, I can select the first option and that's it. In the other one, the volume up and power buttons work, but not as they're supposed to. Volume up moves the cursor up, and the power button moves it down, while volume down does nothing.
I've already tried using a RUU, the T-Mobile one from the HTC website as the phones a Walmart Family Mobile deal-io, which is T-Mobile but not. It detects the phone then reboots it and cant find it again and gets stuck at "waiting for boot loader". ADB doesn't recognize it as a device and my computer only recognizes it as an unrecognized device or whatever. I have HTC sync installed for all the drivers, I was a little suspicious of the drivers so I did end up uninstalling that then reinstalling it to no avail.
I'm relatively inexperienced with Android phones, I've written a app or two but that's it, so any help at all is greatly appreciated!

One day, after my rooted tablet ran out of battery, it didnt boot anymore and there was black screen and something with kernel was written in a corner, i dont remember it, but the solution was that i unroot it and flash it with the right stock android.
I used ODIN and while it was like 25% percent flashed, the connection with the usb broke and then the flash failed and if it try it again, it fails again.
My tablet always loses the usb connection, it connects for a sec, then disconnects, then connects for a sec, then disconnects, maybe it even has loose contact on the tablet or the pc. (the samsung usb connect firmware is uptodate)
Now the screen is blue and it says: An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery funktion in the smart switch pc software.
Pls help me out, im a noob in rooting and co and need ELI5

Hey all,
I am very inexperienced with custom OS on Android and I was trying to install a lineageOS so that I can run octoprint on my tablet for my 3d printer. In doing so, I somehow deleted the stock OS.
Now my device either flashes the samsung logo (if I boot normally) or it can get to the download screen if I hold Power + Home + Vol Down. But I can't seem to get my computer to find the device, so I can't connect it with Odin. Do you know of any guides or threads you could point me to? Or how to fix this?
My model is SM-T713.
Thank you
I downloaded the stock firmware from here - https://github.com/ivanmeler/SamFirm_Reborn/releases/tag/0.3.6.3
I am trying to use odin to reflash it to my device, but it seems the device isn't being found.

Pressing Start in Odin does nothing. Is there something I am missing?
Fixed it, kind of. It was a bad cable. Switching out the cable allowed Odin to connect, it downloaded and passed, but it is still stuck on the samsung logo.
