Has anyone else have WIFI connection problems ? With not finding any WIFI until i factory reset it? And after a few days the problem reappears.
Last time i didn't factory reset it and after 3 days, with no adjustment, the phone found WIFI, but after another 3 it encountered the same issue.
Any advice ?

I'd send for service
I was having issues when connected to my 2.4ghz network. My phone would randomly drop connection. Since connecting it to my 5ghz network, I've had no issues at all.

I'm new to Android and was attempting to root the phone last night. I got the recovery installed but had to sleep before I had the chance to finish the root. I left for work this morning and my 3G was all fine but when I came back home the wifi had stopped working completely. It registers as connected and shows full bars of signal but every app just states that there is no connection.
Could this have something to do with the root (which I completed on 3G just now)? It seems strange that it just cut out from one day to the next.
Root has nothing to do with wifi . this would have happened even if you were not rooted
So is there anything I can do to fix this issue? It's only the phone that can't connect to the wifi

I tried all of those to no avail but I just tried to reset my router again and that seemed to have fixed the problem. Weird. Thanks though :good:
I have found that whenever my phone loses signal and then regains it, I have no data connection until I restart the phone. Even toggling airplane mode or manual signal search does not restore data. I have tried disabling 4G but that doesn't make any difference. I also don't have WiFi on as I never use it.
Does anyone else have this same problem and know a solution? It is extremely frustrating having to restart my phone up to 5 times a day and not receive emails etc.
I had more or less the same. What helped in my case was adding the apn of my provider manually instead of letting the network and phone handle it.

this can cause by network or firmware bug
you can manually add APN if system delete it then repair Firmware by PC Companion
:good:
I have the same issue.
Have you managed to resolve it yet?

Not yet. I have tried deleting the apn end adding it again myself but it's the same.

my problem may be slightly different in that I could not connect to Internet when out of wifi range unless I did a restart.Resolved by switching off stamina modes.
You coult try this: http://forums.androidcentral.com/so...ia-z3-losing-data-connection.html#post4235021
It works for me. Next week the Z3C will be updated to Lollipop. Let's hope it will solve this bug.
A while ago, the wifi on my phone started to behave strangely. Sometimes, it wouldn't connect to my modem and other times connected flawlessly. Now it stopped connecting. 3 weeks have passed and it didn't connect to any routers. I changed my router, tried connecting to public, open wifi and friends wifi but nothing worked. I even bought a wifi antenna and replaced the one inside my phone & tried setting up a static IP but it still doesn't work. I was on N4 elite when the problems started, as usual I already tried the wipe cache etc.. flash stock 4.4.4 but still nothing. I'm on stock 4.4.4 now.
when I switch on wifi it searches and finds all nearby connections. but when I try connecting to one of them the signal strength meter decreases to zero and then it says saved.
Any solution? thanks in advance

You can try flashing a custom rom. Maybe it fixes your device. It can reveal if the problem is with your antenna or with your rom

Tried lots of different roms, still doesn't work
This is very inconvenient. If I disconnect from WiFi or LTE, then reconnect, apps do not detect the netwoork unless I reboot first. Has anyone experienced this problem or have a solution?

Never thought of doing that. I don't think that would be a complete solution though, because on LTE the issue still exists; it is not just a problem on WiFi.
Are you using some extreme power saving options/solutions/aps etc etc ?
Change wifi to 4G and try again.

Last nite I installed the OTA update of android 9. Since then the problems have been non existant. I will continue to update this post, and try all the tips I have been offered, if the problem returns.
I found the source of the problem. The VPN I use was preventing the apps from accessing the Internet.
I had a weird WiFi bug that caused it to disconnect. Then when I tried to reconnect it would refuse to connect. It would say connected and immediately disconnect.
The issue seemed to be fixed by forgetting the wifi network and adding it back.

I'm trying to avoid factory reset at all costs. It took 2+ hours to log into all my accounts. My bigger issue is it appears to be stuck on the system update installing. It has been 3.5 hours and still not done.

Did you try to change the Wifi Channel (try values 1 or 13 ) on your modem config page and set the Wifi frequency to 5Ghz ?
