Question GSIs on Mi 11? - Xiaomi Mi 11

I'm currently waiting for my Mi 11 to arrive, and I was wondering if there are any GSIs that run well on the Mi 11 since there aren't any AOSP custom roms out at the moment.

MIUI 9/10 in Mi A2?

Well, I'm looking forward to buy a Xiaomi phone.
I never used a xiaomi phone before, therefore I'm thinking which one to choose? If I buy Mi A2, I'll get stock android ui. But I think if I get a xiaomi phone than why can't I use MiUI? Well, I know that Mi A2 is "Android One" device but is there any way to use MiUI 9/10 in Mi A2? If not now, than will in future?
Yes in the future you will be able to flash the Mi6x rom on your MI A2 if you wanna taste MIUI.
It was the same case with MI 5X/A2 !

Thanks for the info buddy! @marc2800
Are there any news about this developement? I like the hardware-specs but Android One is missing some usefull features, like one-hand-controll and twin-apps (usefull for e.g. whatsapp on a dual-sim smartphone).
Sadly buying a Mi 6X is no option because it doesn't connect to 4G networks in Band 20 (important for Germany).

I was able to flash the mi 6x fastboot rom, the bootloader works fine. The partition system is a little different from stock (android One) so a bit of work needs to be done. besides that, according to the Mi 6x forums they already installed our firmware (Mi A2) on their devices(Mi 6x) with no issues. So it is definitely possible, just a little beyond my area of expertise. If you want to check it out for yourself the link is http://en.miui.com/thread-3439864-1-1.html

If you want MIUI then just buy any other Xiaomi phone that's available in your country. Why even bother getting A2? Just get any other device and flash custom ROM if just want the taste of stock android.
And regarding future development, I don't think any dev will waste their time on it because you already have a official phone with MIUI on it.
It doesn't even make sense to put effort in this cross development. A dev tried porting MIUI for A1 but it sees like the work is till in progress.
It'd be easier to install custom ROM on a MIUI phone than MIUI on stock.
Miui should not be too crazy to get working on our devices. It is just a matter of if enough people/devs want it and have drive to do something about it.

MIUI 11 update for k20 pro

Guys, need a clarification. Does the planned MIUI 11 update brings android 10 along with it? Or is it just a MIUI increment from 10 to 11?
It brings android 10. But I do warn you, there's quite a few bugs, including an occasional autoreboot.

AFAIK, the Chinese MIUI 11 beta, for this phone, is Android 10 based.
Xiaomi, being Xiaomi, will no doubt release Pie based versions of MIUI 11 for some phones.

Which device and region? K20 PRO or 9T PRO?

Xiaomi.eu do not change the underlying Android version. They take stock Chinese MIUI, debloat it, add dozens of languages and add a few tweaks of their own. They do not rewrite it based on anther version of Android.

That's what I meant. They are based on china releases which got android 10 some time before. EU or Global might not get MIUI 11 together with Android 10.

miui 11 for mi5

Hello people is there any news yet regarding official miui 11 for the mi 5, or will this phone ever be updated?
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-eu-multilang-miui-roms/files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv11/xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5_V11.0.2.0.OAACNXM_v11-8.0.zip/download
Only unofficial

Oficial no, but you can use the Xiaomi.eu version. I use it and is very stable... Still on Oreo, but since Xiaomi dosen't update this model anymore, it is what it is.
Is this rom xiaomi.eu for twrp? Or can I install like normal roms?
I mean like the original firmware

Question Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra/Pro compatible with Mi 11 roms?

HI everyone, i´ve been looking for a few days, and after testing, i would like to know if there is any option to install the roms of the Mi 11 or any gsi rom on the Mi 11 pro. After using the method of installing gsi posted on the mi 11 thread, I made to boot all the gsi roms, but with two problems, there was not battery percentage and the display touch didnt seem to work. It was also impossible for me to install properly the roms of the Mi 11 (like Derpfest) with the method posted on its thread. Thanks for the help guys
It's the sub forum for mi 11 ultra, not for mi 11,so u come to wrong forum

maybe i didnt explained right, ive tried roms from the mi 11 because of the similar hardware to install on mi 11 ultra/pro, but ive also tried installing gsi, wich is not mi 11 related. I made this post to know if there is any way to install anything apart from miui and the problems i encountered during the process on MI 11 ULTRA. So i think its related to this forum.

Question Redmi Note 10 5G Alternative ROMs?

Greetings,
I am the new owner of a the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G and I was wondering if there were alternative ROMs to MIUI out there.
I checked the websites of:
- LineageOS, they stop at Note 7
- AncientOS, they have the Note 10 Pro and other versions but not the Note 10 5G
- DotOS, same thing
- CrDroid, same thing
- etc.
Are there ROMs specifically made for the Redmi Note 10 5G yet? If so, which?
If not, would a Redmi Note 10 ROM work? I noticed that there are some technical differences between the two of them, especially regarding the CPU and camera module. Would that be a major source of concern?
I am very interested in finding something else than MIUI... Thank you very much in advance!

At now the only way for change rom Is project tre le. I suggest you some custom rom that have a good development. My advive Is dont try Portese gsi
Pphusson A12 aosp gsi Is the Better, most of gsi are based on it
Lineage19 by andyyan
You can find these rom and many other on xda project tre le section
Also dotos have an official gsi
Buy Is important ti know that a custom rom with FULL FUNCTIONALITIES LINE STOCK MIUI DONT EXIST
If you prefere AOSP at now it's possibile only by gsi
But miui13 Is coming out... My suggest Is waiting... Xiaomi Is launching many other phones with MTK chipset. So if you are lucky a new MTK developing community May Will Born. But not now
Dont flash redmi note 10 custom rom or you Will brick phone. The hardware Is differenti. They have a snapdragron chipset. Out 5g version in MTK based

Have you tried DotOS GSI on your Poco M3 Pro 5G? Is the brightness bug still there?
Because DotOS GSI is official than maybe the bug has gone

Yes, all gsi have some minor bugs. But can be used as Daily driver. Also more custom rom have bugs. Also stock sometimes! I my experience the rom bugless dont EXIST. A thing that you definire a bug, not necessary must be a bug for me.
