How to fix Volte in PHH based Android GSI's - Asus Zenfone Max M2 Guides, News, & Discussion

How to fix Volte in PHH based GSI's
2 VOLTE FIX [only for Android R latest builds]
• Go to Settings > PHH Settings > IMS Features
• Now select both Request IMS Network and Force Presence of 4G Calling
• Now click Install IMS APK
• Let it complete download (check your notification panel). It will show IMS installed, you may now reboot
• Now click Create IMS APN (nothing happen)
• Now Make sure to enable VoLTE icon toggle in Customization > Status Bar > System icons (not in all ROMs)
• Now Reboot!
• After succesfull reboot, you will get VoLTE Toggle in Settings > Mobile Network
• Now try to re-enable VoLTE in Settings > Mobile Networks

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Remove all kind of security locks on your device before flashing.
- Boot to recovery.
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM
- Reboot to recovery
- Flash Gapps
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.

Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

Had done that in liquid remix. But still faced encryption. Not all users faced this issue there. But some of us faced this.

Yes same for me..had to return back to Oreo.

Have flashed the ROM L
last night. Everything which I have tested works flawlessly. Have to test streaming music over BT, calls and GPS. But I am pretty sure that will work without problems. Overall very smooth and snappy, no lags.

After installing magisk20.4 and booting to system, im stuck on the bootloader msg... what to do?

I did clean flash and used omni Nik Gapps as on 25-10-2020( No nikgapps on 30th) Gone to recovery. Again i did as per the instruction in the OP. It's boot system,but waited long time,only Logo.

Hi, this rom has been really good, but what is the proper way to update from version 03/08 to 13/08. I was initially running version 03/08 with FlameGapps, then I downloaded version 13/08 and flashed it via TWRP. When i rebooted the phone, i had issues with my apps saying gapps wasn't installed. I then reinstalled FlameGapps via twrp, but after rebooting the phone a few of the google apps still kept crashing.

For Dirty flash, u need to flash rom and gapps (same gapps that u flashed previously).
Flashing rom removes gapps (based on gapps)

No micro G. It rarely comes pre installed in ROMS.

Your Fork of Los 18.1 is in my opinion one of the best Roms for Sweet. Stable with all good features. Thank you for it.
I understand that the Development of A12 is a good Thing. But for now there is no A12 Rom with this Stability and all this Customization.
So please give us a monthly Security update of 18.1 till the A12 Rom is comparable.

crDRom11 is a project which based on crDroid 7.x with Andy Yan's and phhusson's Treble GSI patches. Built with some Andy's patches & recommendations, also even without "ALLOW_MISSING_DEPENDENCIES=true" flag. And system can run with SELinux enforced state, as original Phh AOSP GSI. Fully compatible with PHH-Treble patches. Has dynamic root which can be activated/deactivated without reboot - 'su' binary and SuperUser app (can works on all devices even with system read-only). Also has dynamic SafetyNet helper (but it compatible with not all devices), users have four ways to pass SafetyNet: a. just enable SafetyNet option (recommended) b. disable SafetyNet and enable "Spoof Pixel 5" then reboot c. enable both options and reboot d. mount system as RW and create empty file /system/phh/secure (legacy method)

How to install
First unlock frp (OEM Unlock) and unlock your bootloader
Go to Fastboot and flash TWRP with Android 11 support
Boot into Recovery and go to Wipe, and select Format data (All your info will be deleted) and reboot to recovery
Now flash Huawei Decrypt EMUI 8 for fix encryptation and format data again, and reboot to recovery
Flash the Kernel with Android 11 Support (Go to Install, and select Install Image, then search the file in the path where you copy the all and select Kernel)
Flash the ROM crDRom11 R using the same method (Go to Install, and select Install Image, then search the file in the path where you copy the all and select System Image)
Reboot to system, the phone will take some minutes to show bootanimation, so be patience, after bootanimation appear will take like 5-8 mimutes more to complete boot
