HELP: Softbrick... HardBrick?

Help: My device does not pass from Unlocked Bootloader screen.
Hi everyone!
I'm from Mexico and I have a Moto X 2014 (XT1097) before the brick had installed Android 5.1 Lollipop installed by the Retail Brazil RSD 5.1 and everything worked very well. Days previous to the softbrick, the battery was 100% after a few minutes completely discharged and load it again to turn it on. The day of SoftBrick I received a message "the app fb has stopped working" my phone became very slow and unresponsive, the message from the app did not disappear, so turn off the phone and turn it did not pass the screen Bootloader unlocked.
I tried to flash by RSD Lite software:
RET_MX 5.1
RET_BR 6.0
RET_LA 6.0
And the message that appears is:
Failed flashing process. 2/25 oem fb_mode_set -> Phone returned FAIL
In the lines of the device code reads:
cmd:getvar:max-sparse-size
cmd: oem fb_mode_set
failed to validate boot image
Boot up failed
It is noteworthy that can enter fastboot mode, I have the phone unlocked bootloader and load but does not turn off until the battery runs out.
And I tried to do Wipes data (Factory Reset) byfastboot and throw me a few lines of code and the screen, the result is off:

ESPAÑOL: Ayuda: Mi dispositivo no pasa de la pantalla de Bootloader Desbloqueado.
Soy de México y tengo un Moto X 2014 (XT1097) antes de brickearse tenía instalado Android 5.1 Lollipop instalado por RSD la Retail Brasil 5.1 y todo funcionaba muy bien. Días previos al softbrick tuve una falla, la batería estaba en un 100% después de unos minutos se descargó por completo y volví a cargarlo para poder encenderlo. El día del SoftBrick recibí un mensaje “la app de fb ha dejado de funcionar” mi teléfono se puso muy lento y no respondía, el mensaje de la app no desaparecía, así que apague el teléfono y al encenderlo no pasó de la pantalla de Bootloader Desbloqueado.
Intenté flashear por RSD Lite el software:
RET_MX 6.0
RET_BR 5.1
RET_LA 6.0
Y el mensaje que aparece es:
Failed flashing process. 2/25 oem fb_mode_set -> Phone returned FAIL
En las lineas de código del dispositivo se lee:
cmd:getvar:max-sparse-size
cmd: oem fb_mode_set
failed to validate boot image
Boot up failed
Cabe mencionar que puedo entrar a modo fastboot, tengo el bootloader desbloqueado y el telefono carga pero no se apaga hasta que la batería se acaba.

Today, I'm honored to share the root-patched boot image file for Huawei Honor 6A Pro (DLI-L42) model. I'm managed to perform nandroid backup in order to get the boot image file and then I'm patched it with Magisk Manager. You can install the root-patched boot image file here but there's a lot of work to do. I am not responsible for any risks happen when rooting the device!

How to root the Huawei Honor 6A Pro (DLI-L42) (DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK):
1. Download the patched boot image file here.
2. Unlock the bootloader the un-official way. See this link here on how to do it FIRST! You shall only use DC Unlocker for unlocking Huawei devices due to Huawei stops providing bootloader unlocking code starting in the middle of July.
3. Instal Magisk Manager app on your device. Download it from here.
4. Connect your device into your PC and enable the USB Debugging. Then, run the command adb reboot bootloader.
5. Flash the patched boot image file via the command fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img.
6. Reboot the device via command fastboot reboot and finally your device is finally rooted.
WARNING: PLEASE USE ENGLISH WHEN REPLYING THIS THREAD FOR HELP/TROUBLESHOOTING. YOU WILL NOT BE TOLERATED IF DOING SO! IF YOU'RE ROOTING YOUR DEVICE FOR A VERY DAMN FIRST TIME, PLEASE AVOID IT FROM DOING SO! IF YOU'RE NOOB AND BRICKED YOUR DEVICE, THEN SERVE YOUR FACE!
NOTE: This root-patched boot image file only works with DLI-L42 model and might not work with other variants of Honor 6A device.

Buenas tardes!! Ayudaaaa!! Mi huawei honor a6 pro - modelo dli-al10 me solicito actualizacion de software emui, bien descargo el software y se reinicio y quedo en fastboot&rescue mode y dice ( phone locked ) bien estuve viendo tutoriales e ingrese a la pagina de huawei para solicitar el codigo de desbloqueo y bien ya tengo el codigo de desbloqueo!! E instale otros programas como el adb para poder hacer el desbloqueo por el cmd colocando el comando fastboot oem unlocked + el codigo de desbloqueo!! Le doy enter pero me da error!! Pienso yo que mi computadora no me reconoce o no se le instalaron los drivers correctamente para ingresar como tal al phone!!! Colocoque este comando ( fastboot devices ) y me dice el serial de mi celular como que si reconoce mi dispositivo!! Pero no entiendo como hacer para desbloquearlo necesito ayuda por favor!!!

Make sure that you are flashing the patched boot.img file, not the stock boot image file which included inside the package which used for backup purpose. It is best to flash it via TWRP.

Amirzaim : My device is reported unauthorized now by adb devices after flashing your patched_boot.img.
Any solution to recover. ?

Well, this is the only single thread regarding this elusive device "Honor 5C/6A (Pro)" with model DLI-L42 etc...
So is there any working custom rom in existence for this device ?

Hello team, I share the great work you have done to make the GSI Resurrection Remix already with some of the Fix collected in this forum with the rom havooc:
The installation method is quite simple like any GSI:
• Install Treeble recovery.
• Make Wipes
• Install RR Oreo Treeble
• install image RR Android P as system Image
• Install oreo kernel
• and restart normally
• Once the restart is complete, go back to the recovery and install GAAPS nano android 9 arm64
• After that if you like you can install Magisk and ready
What will not work in the first instance are:
• Rotation
• camera and flash light
• gestures on sensor
but do not worry here I'll leave you the fix
for rotation, copy the sensor folder that I leave here in the path of / system / etc and place the permissions 0755 for the folder and 0644 for the files inside the folder
For camera copy the file Lib_mot_app6_metadata.so in the path in / vendor / lib and place permissions 0644
Par manager in sensor sticks the usr folder that I leave you in the path / vendor keeping the permissions for 0755 folder and for the files contained in 0644
and ready restart and you will have to enjoy this wonderful rom
if you like you can install Gcam for better camera experience

Wow. how is battery compare to oreo?

I've been using it for the past two days. I think the system still need some uptime for the new battery management really kicks in but I think that's already better than Oreo. Specially on standby

Gracias se hace lo que se puede..!! hasta el momento no he visto en algun GSI espero en algun update salga algo, en la havooc funcionan los gestos de shok shok de la lampara y la camara es el mismo procedimiento de RR pero con la imagen de havooc, si gustas te paso la IMG , es la que llevo actualmente en mi movil.

Try this one system-190120-arm64-aonly-vanilla-nosu.img you'll boot to bootloader if you flash the wrong one.

After installing the system img, i restart but a decription error msg appear asking forma a password. Entering any word make it restarts and again, the same error. Any help please?

Dice que tienes una room como de nougat,por la versión..
Yo la instale después de pasarlo a oreo y no tuve problema en la instalación,pero si esta lenta...

please write in english, xda has rules about this / por favor escriban en inglés, xda tiene reglas sobre esto.
just try to follow instructions as noted on first post. let me explain a bit how I did it:
1- flash treble recovery
2- make wipes, how to do this?
a. first, format data, then restart to recovery
b. second, wipe each partition except micro-sd (i'm assuming your files are there), then restart to recovery again
3- flash RR oreo treble
4- flash RR android P image on /system partition
5- flash oreo kernel image on /boot partition
6- restart, mandatory. you won't have navigation bar or fingerprint gestures, let the system boot.
7- after first boot, reboot to recovery and flash gapps nano android 9 arm64
8- enable navigation bar by going to settings > resurrection tools > navigation tab > navigation > enable navigation bar. if not present then you'll have to do it by build.prop or manage yourself to get fingerprint gestures working by copying usr folder. this can be done rooting and using a file manager or doing it all on twrp file manager.
to get root working: install MagiskManager-v6.1.0.apk (can be found on magisk forum), then reboot to recovery and flash Magisk-v18.0.zip
8- fingerprint gestures: extract usr.zip and copy usr folder to /vendor folder on root
9- camera: extract libs.zip and copy both files to /vendor/lib
10- rotation sensors: extract sensors.zip and copy sensor folder to /system/etc
make sure permissions for folders and files are set ok: 0755 on folders, 0644 on files
hey, give it some time. you will find yourself on doing trial/error to understand how to follow each step and make them work but I assure you it works.

Our Moto z2 play is arm64 with A only

First flash rom, then reboot system. Then reebot recovery and flash gapps.

Buenas, no nada. Por eso lo deje con la versión que tenía. Pudiste hacer algo? Entrar en recovery o algo? En su momento lo había brickeado fuerte pero siempre lo pude revivir. Hoy en día quedaron muy pocos archivos. Si llegaste a poder instalar el TWRP te puedo pasar una imagen estable que estoy usando, creo que es un cianogenmod, pero que para la vida cotidianta anda lo más bien.

hello I recently failed to install twrp and got into bootloop so i search here how to unbrick my phone and I found a solution but the spflash tool always have this error. I already did bypassbrom and successfully get the protection disabled status the only problem is when I am trying to flash the rom to my device it will always show like this

OK, you said you passed the unauthorized verification, I guess you installed the devel filters and so on.
Now you have to set the SP Flash tool in Options/General Check LIB DA match and Check Storage Life Cycle and in Connection; UART/Baud Rate to 921600

y tenia el mismo problema, lo SOLUCIONE, es un problema de Driver, tus driver preloader estan desactualizado, anda al administrador de dispositivos, busca el puerto donde esta conectado el telefono y dale clic derecho y luego actualizar controlador, la Pc debe hacer el proceso de actualizarlo y luego vas a Flashtool y le das Start, listo. repito: Actualiza el Controlador o Driver

y tenia el mismo problema, lo SOLUCIONE, es un problema de Driver, tu driver preloader esta desactualizado, anda al administrador de dispositivos, busca el puerto donde esta conectado el telefono y dale clic derecho y luego actualizar controlador, la Pc debe hacer el proceso de actualizarlo y luego vas a Flashtool y le das Start, listo. repito: Actualiza el Controlador o Driver

Hi guys, I get the same error on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Plus, installed the MTK USB Drivers, Bypassed the usb, loaded the global begonia miui 10 flashboot for it, DA/ Scatter/ Auth loaded up, i see the MTK Port in my device manager but i cant find it in SP Flash tool Options/ Connection/ UART .. why ? Is that the problem ? It may be a driver problem, are my drivers bad (MTK Usb Driver v1.0.8) ? Can you guys give some tips on good drivers for this operation ? Thank you in advance.

Once you bypassed restriction, then keep connected to the PC, and just run SPFT, take a look how your device appears on device manager and upload the screenshot here.

I forgot to mention.. the device is locked on miui cloud and i dont have the account, so i cant unlock the dev mode, is that the problem ? Do i need to enter edl test state ? shorting the motherboard test pins ? The device only appears in libusb as Redmi Note 8 plus, i install the mediatek driver but .. no succes.

The thing is that the drivers must be updated in the communication before your device and the PC, not your PC only.
This means you have to see where it is the change on the device manager when you plugged your device, if you need the preloader mode, firstly you have to see your device under COM Port, to can update it. You can provide some screenshot from the list at this exact time, to see it.
