[APK] Acer Liquid Music Player

Hello, while looking through the A1 system dump, i found something quite interesting.... a media player, which has a nice photo, music, and video view! looks kina like on the X10 . i didn't look into it that much yet. anyways, here you go:
http://www.zshare.net/download/703135684861892c/
Any ideas on how to make it faster? the scrolling is really choppy...
P.S.: A toast saying "The player needs to search for files, this may reduce performance" so maybe thats the reason for the choppyness... but i got another bad message, if you hit Artist you will be taken straight to the Songs, not to an album view...
Yeah, it's pretty slow and it has resolution issues too. Parts of the videos get cut off and the widget doesn't even fit on the screen.
Bearing in mind this phone has a Snapdragon, I wouldn't hold out tremendous hopes on it =$.
Not really that choppy for me, other than the obvious difference in screen size and widget issue, it's fine. Pretty nice.
Looks nice but its a tad bit slow. I'd love to see this optimized for G1s and myTouches

working well for me too.. no lag yet.
Music Player
some more info:
This apk is called Nemoplayer and it is also being distributed by the developer Drizzy and to make it a bit faster download the set cpu widget from the market and set the cpu to max seemed to fix the choppy problem for me.

3 Music Player - Amazing

Just downloaded and tried '3' Music Player and it's very very good... Definately worth checking out...
Search for RockOn in the market and it's the app with a small "3"
Yeah I tried it. its pretty cool just needs alittle bit more tuning.
It stops playing for me when the screen turns off. Anyone else having this issue?
Looks sick, and hella smooth though

Not having that problem myself!
From what I've read theres a lot more to come from the dev on this one...
Yep! ³ has definitely replaced my default music app. I can't wait to see what he adds to it next.
Whoa! Crazy concept that one is.
Would be great if you had the option to have song/album/artist lists instead of JUST an album cube...
Best music app for Android I've seen.
One annoying feature, if you enable the headphone controls, it starts the player whenever you push the button (i.e. skipping a song in Pandora launches RockOn3 and they play simultaneously). Would be great if there was a playlist by folder creation function as well.
i got a problem with dis player it get freezed i dono y.... pls help me....
I just tried this out and it certainly contains the eye candy I love while still mainting usability. If I go past the Z however, it spins the opposite direction without stopping. I have to go to view mode then back to the three to stop it.
I love the automatic album art downloader too. Does it save the art to the actual mp3 file or to the app itself?
Crazy concept. I like it!
For some reason, I can't find it in the market. Is it still there?
so search Rockon and you will find it

Yep, search for rockon and it's the third one down if i remember correctly. unfortunately the "3" is "³" as in cubed. Not sure why they chose such a hard to search for name...
I hate to say it but I've moved back to the stock music player. I can't stand how this player functions and it is painfully slow.

[Q] Music stopping randomly on WiFi only Xoom

OK so I have tried the stock music player, TuneWiki and PowerAmp and all three seem to have the same issue. The music will simply stop playing and it acts as though I pressed the pause button. I have my Xoom in the standard HD dock and I have seen this behaviour both through the speakers of the Xoom and when I have external speakers plugged into the dock.
I have tried to determine if a notification is stopping the music, but it does not appear to be triggered by that. I tried sending myself an email to both my Gmail and Touchdown (exchange) accounts and the notification played but the music resumed as expected.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
I have noticed this too but for me it only happens when loading something or deleting things and it must be using alot of CPU.
not sure if this is correct, but maybe it's not the CPU - maybe it's the internal memory. I mean, let's say you're playing music, and in the background you've got google services, tweetdeck, weather widget etc... updating data and then you open the market and so on
seems like a lot of things using the same memory. If memory was seperate like on the NExus One (some internal, some on sd) it wouldn't happen...
happens to me once in a while on my 3g xoom... doesnt bother me much. however sometimes the music app totally closes(force close) and sometimes the music pauses itself.
Happens to me sometimes too.
Sent from my Xoom
Mine does kind of the opposite....every once in a blue moon it will open the music app
I too have noticed this but only when another application is attempting to make a sound or notify. For example when I am playing music and an email comes through ... the music will pause while the email notification is playing.
I would check your running apps. Some poorly written apps might be grabbing the sound for some reason even though it is not needed by the app.
Mine does this on Wifi Xoom as well, only appears to happen on stock music player, winamp has worked fine. I think I has something to do with other apps running or transfering data over usb.
I think motorola/google need to release a stablity/bug fix update. Theres a few quirks that need to be ironed out.

Yea, stock music app seems to be full of bugs. For me it always resorts to having to reset the xoom because the whole thing crashes. This plus the constant force closes in browsers is really starting to annoy me. Winamp seems to fix the music issue but no other market browser solves the other issue. Sorry to get a bit off track. Google needs to get their act together. I don't think I've ever seen even a windows release this buggy.

A Working Idea For Netflix Background Playback

Yesterday while in an airport I discovered a very curious bug in Netflix that I believe can be taken great advantage of. I have realized that if you have a video playing, and you click on the task manager at twice at just the right time, you can get it to glitch out and think that it is still being viewed, this even works with my screen off (See the video). I don't know if anyone besides me wants to be able to listen to Netflix with their screen off, but if so this is how. The real reason I am bringing this up to this form though, is that I feel like this can be easily implemented into a mod where it will spam the task manager at just the right time when you click the home button or task manager. I am no serious coder but if anyone out there wants to take this on, that would be totally awesome. Thanks everyone.

RIP Game Tuner in Pie update...how to force game resolution to max??

So I just updated my Note9 to latest Pie about a week ago. I like a lot of things, but found a couple really annoying problems. First is that when connected to Bluetooth in my car, when using YouTube Music app, 8 out of every 10 times the song finishes and starts the next track...I get no audio. I have to play/pause or hit next/previous to get audio back. But that's a different issue than this thread...
Second issue I just found is that Game Tuner is now gone. I used Game Tuner before to force some games to use full resolution for a much sharper visual experience. I primarily play Clash Royale and noticed that my game was looking a little blurry again
I found the settings within Game Launcher, but they aren't as good...and don't give you as much control over resolution. Everything is set to highest performance, but I can easily tell that the resolution isn't full as some of the graphics/text in the game are not nearly as sharp as before.
Any way to fix this??? Super annoying... The game doesn't require that much battery as-is and it's annoying that I can't make use of the awesome screen resolution.
The only way is by disabling Game Optimizing Service by using 'Package Disabler Pro ( Owner APP) All Android' in Play store.
Disable it and reboot.
Then all games are now just apps, you can't use Game Launcher/Game Tools. You may disable them too.
But the apps (once games) are now show in full resolution.

And that's the only way to do it at this point? Seems so dumb...
What other negative implications does this have, if any? The obvious one I can think of is that any options for battery savings are not available any longer (which I normally don't really care about anyways).
And I assume this process is reversible, so you can just re-enabling the Game Optimizing service and rebooting to get back to original state again??

Yes you are right
Looks like samsung just updated its game launcher, has more settings now and can disable the low res option.
Update and let us know please!

The update doesn't seem to change anything... There is an option for disabling/enabling the low resolution. But I get the slightly blurry output regardless of what I set that switch to.
To be fair, when I say it's blurry...it's actually fairly subtle. A couple of my less picky friends couldn't even tell the difference at first...but after looking side by side with a phone running native resolution, they could tell.
I'm picky about visuals/screens, so it bugs the crap out of me. If I have a great screen with high resolution, I'd like everything to look as good as possible. The slightly soft graphics are super annoying to me.
Not happy about this. I haven't tried the previously suggested option for Package Disabler because it seems like a slightly more involved process than I was inticipating...

Do you know of a package disabler for the snapdragon note 9 running pie, stock phone not rooted? Seems like no matter which ones I try they no longer function since Oreo went to pie. If you know of one could you share the play store link as I could use it big time. Much thanks in advance.
Cheers!
