I have a major problem with my new Mi 11 Ultra and wondered if anyone had any suggestions at all.
My problem is, I purchased a Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra direct from China, and, after unlocking I then I tried to update the ROM to the EU version, it then into a mode where it would only boot into "Fastboot Mode" ,and, nothing else, so I was advised to try to flash the Rom to the original China version using the Xiaomi flask tool, it did then boot into a slighlty different mode, but, when I run the flash programme it says it is flashing, but, just sits there counting away the seconds, but, doing nothing even after 4 hours, I have tried it several times with the same issue, not really sure if theres anything that can be done or if its a dustbin job!
Any suggestions would be apreciated.

Hi everyone. Im really new to Xiaomi devices. So here is my problem. I bought MI 5 with fake rom, it is common in my country. The rom version is 7.2.8.0.0(MAACNDB).
How to move from that fake rom to official? Does EDL mode still works for that rom version? Because I read somewhere that EDL is no longer work since 7.3.x.x and later.
I tried to flash MIUI 8 global from updater and it failed, after booted the rom remain the same. I also tried using MI PC Suite, when I hold shift and flash button (in chinese of course ) but it shows dialog reboot or fastboot.
Any help would be appreciate,, thanks
I just tried using EDL method and it worked in my case. Thanks everyone, even there's no comment yet . Now im ready to rock!
Hello guys,
like many other people my Xiaomi A2 phone don't want to boot anymore. Everytime i tryied to start, it got stuck at Android One screen an reboots. I've tried every powerbutton/vol-button combination i could found but nothing worked, only fastboot mode was possible. I red very much here and in other forums. Because my bootloader is locked, I opened my phone to flash it with the testpoint method. I tried different versions of the mi-flash-tool between 2015 and 2018 and also tried various rom versions between V9.6.13 and V10.0.13 but nothing worked. Mostly the process fails with the Error "ACK Count don't match". Especially with newer versions of the mi flash tool.
I have the global version of the phone and never flashed any other rom before the phone got bricked.
The drivers I use are from the mi community forum (can't post link because i'm new. Title is: [All in One] MIUI Flashing Guide: Unbrick, EDL Method / Locked Bootloader, Unlock Bootloader, More)
I also tried different USB Ports.
It would be really great if you could help me with any other idea or tip!
where you from? do you have telegram? i was in dsame situation last night but i manage to make it work doing testpoint method.
Go Service Center Your Problem Solve Because I Face Same Problem And Know I Save My Mi A2 Life
Hello. Did you manage to solve the problem?
I have the same situation.
I don't know if this is the same situation as you guys, but I managed to successfully flash my MI 6x with wayne v 10.3. Even then the phone always starts in a bootloop. I'm beginning to suspect this is a hardware problem.
I faced a similar issue. Have you managed to solve it? I also have the same error and can't flash "ack count don't match"
Has anyone experienced something like this? It’s happening on my Xiaomi K20 Pro after I just updated it to MIUI 12 directly from the settings app
here's a video: youtu.be/ Mv-Qbgb0rR8 (I don't know where else to post this video, but I'm not allowed to post links)
Just in case the video wasn’t very clear, basically when I try to boot everything seems to boot fine to the lock screen, but if I try to unlock the phone with my pin it will just go back to the boot screen again, if I click on the emergency button it also does the same thing and if I just wait a little bit the same thing happens too.
It kinda reminds me of that wallpaper bug that bricked people’s phones, but I didn’t have any problems in MIUI 11 and my wallpaper is from the Google wallpaper app so I don’t expect that to be the problem.
I think it might be because my phone is running the international/global Rom instead of the original rom? I bought this phone used, and the software is saying that its a Mi 9T Pro instead of K20 Pro.
Can someone help me solve this? Or would I need to just factory reset? The phone is also already unlocked, so I was able to back everything up via a custom recovery, but reinstalling and setting everything back up again is just going to take a while, so maybe someone can help?
Maybe I could do something from the custom recovery (currently using orangefox recovery) to save this? I really don't want to factory reset
yes i am facing the same issue
At this point I wouldn't hold much hope on avoiding a clean install.
If you can access the data OK in TWRP/OF, I would suggest backing up your personal data, then try the following.
Dirty flash the MIUI 12 recovery ROM again.
If that fails, clean flash the MIUI 12 recovery ROM.
If that fails, clean flash the MIUI 12 fastboot ROM.
Personally myself, I would go straight to flashing the fastboot ROM, as it's the option almost guaranteed to work.
You can also try to factory reset your phone. Do you have TWRP?

Facing the same issue now. How did you solve it? I also have the Google wallpaper and just updated
Hi All,
I received an update notification yesterday on my China Market device with Global ROM and I immediately downloaded the update to MIUI13. I had 60% battery when the download finished and after downloading it did an app optimization. After that, I hit the reboot button with 58% battery. The device turned off and since then the device is literally not showing any sign of life. it doesn't charge or show up in the ADB devices list. My MBP doesn't recognize USB in the devices list. What is the best option I have? From threads, it doesn't sound like a brick or EDL mode to me but should I still contact the EDL guy?
Just an update. I was using Macbook to test if the device is alive. MacBook Pro doesn't show any updates when you connect a new device. I plugged USB into a Windows machine installed on my Bootcamp, Windows recognized the device as Qualcomm 9008. Which is effectively in EDL mode. I have no idea how the device got into that mode but my assumption is that I had TWRP installed with BL open and when going from Android 11 to Android 12 via MIUI13, something called anti-rollback protection which was implemented by Xiaomi put the phone into EDL mode. Luckily, I am in the UK and got in touch with Xiaomi after sales, they agreed to repair it because the issue was caused by a software update.
Lesson Learned: Never update your phone via OTA to a newer android version without taking a proper backup. A really bad experience with Xiaomi. it cost me one day to try to fix and will be costing me some time to install everything back after the repair. I am seriously thinking to buy an iPhone now.

I dont think its about anti-rollback function
That function only affect when u try to flash from higher miui version back to lower version. It will not allow u to do that
In your case, it 's all about xiaomi software problem :| and it is unacceptable problem

Well, finally I got in touch with the EDL guy and he fixed it smoothly. I literally had to go through a lot of documents and websites to understand the problem but he fixed it in 10 minutes. I think he is using some sort of cracked miFlashTool where he interferes with the communication between the phone and Xiaomi servers and bypasses authorization issues. I think many people are having problems at that point when following the EDL operation explained on the internet. Anyways, fixed it fairly easily and cheaply.

That's very strange. Why first update led to brick
By Global eu rom you mean EEA or Xiaomi.eu ROM?
p.s. I know at least one Mi 11 ultra and one Mi 11 faced the same issue

i had to buy a cheap phone today i called costumer service they keep hanging up each time while i talk to them
my fastboot is locked and my brain 2 is locked dont know hat to do anymore
If you can get to fastboot, you can flash the original stock ROM. Plenty of instructions here and on the Xiaomi EU forums. You only need edl if you cannot get to fastboot.

You cannot flash anything in fastboot if bootloader is locked
In that case, you will need an edl flash to recover. But be careful that he doesn't leave it with an edl account permission or you won't be able to unlock without that edl account. Although I thought you could flash the original stock firmware that it came with back on with it locked.
Hi, i have same problem after try to flash Miui 13. But The MIflash tool shows error:sw path is not valid, have not found solution for this error message. How can I Get in contact with the EDl Guy.. I have a Mi 11 Pro
Reminds my about the new released Samsung galaxy S22 series, lots of problems for some weeks now_
It´s so frustrating that the update caused this. It´s now the first time for me to solve this problem. But I have so many other issues that I don´t have the time for this. I´ve read some threads where some persons have written about people who can unbrick it online. This would be right now my first choice. Could somebody help me where I can contact someone for help please.

Hello same here - I guess flashed wrong version from EEA instead of EU of Android 11 - all went good but then I allowed OTA updates and finally update to MUI13 I had a brick.
Now I am in contact with one EDL guy but not certain he is legit. Can you send me PM for your contact?
I'm planning on purchasing this phone but things like this one makes me worried. Is there a risk to update the eu stable firmwares from fastboot with bootloader unlocked?
If you know how to do it, no risk.
Hi, I'm starting to say that I'm kinda new to this "things" so:
I have received this xiaomi red mi note 10 pro with the miui (or whatever that logo is) infinitely stucked and never boot the system;
Now I have googled things for 2 long days and I have done a couple of things, but the result is:
I tried to flash new ROM in many ways, but no succeded (with miflash and other softwares) except for one software (honesty Idk if I can write the name here) that through ABD flashed a new ROM that I select; firstly I selected "sweet" ROM, but then the result was nothing new or better and so I repeated the process with a new ROM called "Chopin" (always related to Xiaomi redmi note 10 pro).
No better progress BUT the image and graphics of the bootloop of the phone changed so my initially thought was "wow something changed" but nothing else, always bootlooped:
I started to repeat the process for every ROM related to redmi note 10 pro but in the end the tragedy comes:
Now I'm stucked with the phones in bootloop and I cannot enter in recovery mode ( but I can enter fastboot) because the phone keeps spamming me the battery low icon without a reason (I kept it in charge for like hours) so without the recovery mode and the miassistant option I really don't know what to do.
there isn't the mi account associated to the phone btw
Chopin? Then I think bricked.
My opinion: try to flash via fastboot and miflash and the right sweet fastboot ROM
