Whta are the bugs in the rom ?
The main bug faced is display won't on after went sleep mode.
Dial any number in the dialer and place the phone on the ear and then remove from the ear display never switch on. you can hear voice but no display.

True, also faced it on LineageOS 15.1 rom. The only thing different here is that screen won't turn offf for 4 or 5 secs, whereas in LOS screen is touch unresponsive for sama amount of time.
It's triggered at random, I guess... One just has to turn screen off and try turning it back on. It may not delay, but it does almost all the time...
BTW, I've a SM-G610M/DS.

Hi everyone,
I have ported cm11 to the HTC First along with the MSM8960 kernel. The rom is mostly working and is stable. The only major bug left is the DSP and AMP (see below)

}
What works:
- Data (4G/3G)
- GPU Acceleration
- phone calls
- NFC
- USB Tethering/Hotspot
What does't work:
- Speaker DSP and AMP (dsp is currently disabled. It does not work because the open source hals for the tfa9887 dsp and amp do not initialize it correctly. Speaker volume is a bit lower and may not be as "crisp" as stock)
Code:
[B]Installation steps (If you are coming from stock rom, otherwise just flash the rom):[/B]
1) S-OFF your phone. HTC dev unlocked with S-ON is fine too, but you will have to flash boot.img manually after installing the update)
2) backup your data (including your "sdcard") (Example: adb pull /data/media ~/Desktop/backup)
3) flash recovery
4) boot into recovery
5) go to "mounts and storage" and format "/system", "/cache", and "/data and /data/media (/sdcard)" [COLOR="Red"]*[/COLOR]
6) sideload rom
7) [OPTIONAL] sideload cm11 gapps (get your gapps from [url=http://opengapps.org/]OpenGapps[/url]. I recommend at least "micro")
8) reboot
*If you do not format all the partitions (especially "/data and /data/media (/sdcard)" option) when migrating from stock, QSEECOM/TrustZone won't work correctly and may cause random app crashing.

Notes:
- Recently opened apps is now mapped to 'long press home' instead of double tap.
- "Sdcard" data is now stored under /data/media/0, and not /data/media.
My support for this ROM is limited. Flash at your own risk. Please report all bugs in this thread (with a logcat and dmesg) and I will try to fix them.
Big thanks to you for making this rom. Must be hard work for you to do it alone. hope you will work for fixing bug later when you have free time. Thank you again. Have a great thanks giving.
I have quick question.
Do you happen to know how to center stock android lock screen clock on 4.1.2 ?
I know i need to modifiy system apk or something but don't know where and how to do it.
It will be breat if you can teach me how to, If you know, and If you have time.
And Thank you again
I just tested your rom really nice !!!! Thank you for your amaging work!!!! I really hope you will work for this rom. I understand that you have other things to do. So ther are not much things that I can ask to you. But please do fix bug when you have free time. Thank you again
It seems like the project is stopped.... Maybe not?
Is there anybody who's willing to pick up this project and make daily driver ?? It's so sad that it is finished.
Camera now partially works, but I cannot capture the image yet. Mic and all audio are now fixed. The proximity sensor is also fixed. I am still working on camera and NFC.
Again, you can check for updates at https://github.com/CMyst and feel free to open an issue for whatever bug you find. I will be building another release soon!

Just out of curiosity since I don't own this phone (yet), the deactivated speaker dsp concerns the speaker that is used for music playback and not the one that is used for calls, correct?

@dcfgfs The crashing apps is probably because QSEECOM (security to prevent malware from running) is not running correctly. I will let you know once I fix it.
EDIT: The crashing you experienced is because your /data partition isn't formatted correctly. By default, factory reset in the recovery wipes everything except for /data/media (where your "sdcard" is) and QSEECOM throws an error because of that (I'm not exactly sure why). It is my fault I did not specify how to properly format the partitions. Here are the instructions to fix it (with the rom already installed)
Code:
1) backup your data again (including your sdcard)
adb pull /data/media <your location> (Example: adb pull /data/media ~/Desktop/backup)
2) boot into recovery
3) go to "mounts and storage" and format "/cache", and "/data and /data/media (/sdcard)"
4) reboot

That wasn't very helpful. If you have nothing specific to offer the OP, then don't post.
To the original OP. This was suggested on the OP forums for users of similar issue:
"I suggest you to perform CLEAN FLASH.
Wipe data and cache (Factory reset) the current build (Any), then download the zip file of OOS 4.0 for Oneplus 3T and install it using ADB sideload, reboot the device, and you done. That should fix the issue. But be careful to backup all your personal data before doing this."

1. Update apps to reduce Android system battery drain.
Sometimes there are no mysterious ways which are killing the battery life in fact these are the common issues. Since 2009 Android system has been designed in such a way that if the apps are not updated then your Android system kills more battery to run the apps better. Android apps must be updated so that Android System does not need any extra effort to run the app most effortlessly. Not updating the app is also the main cause of Android system battery drain.
2. Clear Apps Cache.
This should be the most common practise of every Android user to clear out the cache. If you do not clear the cache so the RAM of your Android device will do some extra effort to find the related data from cache memory. Cache memory is the part of RAM which is first access by the RAM to find data. If you do not clear it then the cache memory will increase the data in it and RAM will use more power to find the respective data. In order to improve Android system battery drain you should clear cache data frequently. Go to Settings > Apps > select app > Storage > Clear cache; to clear all app caches simultaneously, go to Settings > Storage and USB > Cached data > OK.
3. Clear System Cache.
Like clearing the app cache, clearing the system cache is as important as clearing the app cache. You use different apps on daily basis which is stored in RAM so the processor can read it fast. Same like this the system apps that run the OS also stores their data in RAM so that it can be accessed clearly. In order to reduce Android system battery drain you must clear System Cache.
Steps to Clear System Cache.
First press the Power and Volume Down button together until you see the Fast Boot Menu.
Use the volume buttons to navigate and press Power Button to select.
If you see the robot on its back, hold Power and press Volume Up once to access the recovery menu.
Use volume button to select Wipe Cache Partition.
Press power button to confirm.
Reboot your device after clearing the device.
4. Turn of WiFi and GPS location.
It is the most common mistake we do and we ignore. Many Android users does not know that the WiFi option and Location Services are the part of Android System. We keep on looking for solution or apps which kills the battery but we does not know the solution is quite simple. Android system battery drain is mostly caused by 24/7 enabling the WiFi service and Location Service. WiFi is turned on 24/7 will continuously looks for WiFi around you and Location service enabled will do the same and looks for your location. Disable these services when you do not require them which possibly will improve the battery drain.
5. Factory Reset.
If you are still having the issue of Android system battery drain then the last option is Factory Reset. So if you have decided to do factory reset then first you should back up all your data. Make sure all your important data is safe and you have stored it in safe place. So go to Settings and select Backup and Rest option which will reset you Android device. Factory reset will erase every thing you have on your Android device and it may improve Android system battery drain. Some bugs or errors may hide under some files which you cannot access and they continuously kills the battery so doing reset may improve Android system battery drain.

Your problem is probably the same we encounter in stock OOS of OP5.
Try this:
boot the phone, and then do a soft reboot.
This happens because of file encryption prevents xposed from access the module list in /data/ partition at boot (because files are encrypted, meaning you haven't enter your pass/pin, when xposed tries to read them).
If you do a soft reboot (the option is available in the framework screen), then it will work.

Hello, I want to confirm that this was a temporary solution, It seems like soft rebooting device made it work,

I also use OP5 on stock Oxygen OS 4.5.10, Magisk 14 and systemless xposed 87.3 by topjohnwu. I have the same problem but it doesn't get fixed even if I soft reboot through the Material Xposed Installer app. What exactly am I supposed to do?

To decrypt you need to format data in TWRP then install a kernel that does not force encryption.

Or you can run with FDE with: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3672477
You will lose the ability to boot unattended, so alarm when phone is off and scheduled boot won't work. And you'll have to format data too...
It's worth the inconvenience in my opinion. Been running this way for several days without any issues.
Full disclosure: I wrote the FDE conversion utility linked above.

So, we have a fully functional TWRP. Now we can install custom firmware. I've been trying to get a working system on the Project Treble firmware for a long time, and found the right a working GSI images!
The firmware was taken as an example for installation Havoc-OS 3.5
Prerequisites - bootloader must be unlocked, clean Stock firmware must be installed.
Installation Instruction
1. Download the Project Treble system image archive without included GAPPs (Vanilla, ARM64-AB). Otherwise the system will not start. Unpack the archive and copy the ROM image to an external SDCard.
Download and copy to external SD Card GAPPs archive (ARM64, Android 10), Magisk Installer https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk (latest version for today Magisk v20.4) and Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-t3817389 (latest version for today Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020 https://zackptg5.com/downloads/Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip ), Permissiver_v4 (look at the attached files);
2. Install TWRP according to the Instruction, doing everything up to the 6th step.
3. Reboot in TWRP and go to the "Wipe" tab, "Advanced Wipe" and select Dalvik, System, Data, and then go back two steps back and do a "Swipe Factory reset".
4. Install the Project Treble system image. In the "Install" tab in the lower right corner click "Install image" and select ROM Image. A window will open in which you should select partition "System Image" in which the image where to be installed. Swipe for confirm flash.
5. Installing GAPPs. If you try to install the GAPPs archive immediately, the installation will be aborted with an error: 70 (Error 70). This will be eliminated as follows:
- Go to the "Wipe" tab;
- Then select "Advanced Wipe";
- In the menu that opens, select the System partition and click "Repair or change file system";
- A few buttons will appear and click "Resize File System". If the process failed the first time with Error 1, then repeat this action again.
Now you can install the GAPPs archive without any errors.
6. When the installation is complete, go to Wipe and perform a "Swipe Factory reset".
7. Install the Magisk.zip, Disable_Dm-V_ForceEncrypt.zip and Permissiver_v4.zip. Reboot into the system and make the settings, use the Project Treble working system.
The first launch will be a bit long, do not worry.
Important additions
Adaptive brightness - Copy framework-res__auto_generated_rro.apk to /vendor/overlay. Give this application permission 644. Remove the "FrameworkResVendor" folder from /vendor/overlay. Reboot the phone. In "Phone Settings" you will have a new item "Adaptive brightness" and this feature will work in "Quick Settings".
Noticed problems on Havoc-OS 3.5:
- Does not pass SafetyNet check (ctsProfile: false; basicIntegrity: true). On Google Play, your device is not certified, but applications are installed and updated.
- Wired headphones are plugged in. When connected, the Bluetooth headset in the Dialer application works, but when listening to audio, video, YouTube is not.
- Unlocking by fingerprint is implemented for scanners on the back of the phone.
Automatic brightness setting does not work - Fixed!

Buddy! And for which phone is this theme created? Isn't it for Moto One Zoom?
After the flashes I get this:
Failed to mount '/system's (Invalid argument)
After I unpack the image zip, I rename to .img, maybe that's why, help me please...
After a successful installation, I reboot the phone and don't starts, just go to TWRP over and over, what should I do?...

Install again Magisk.zip, Disable_Dm-V_ForceEncrypt.zip and Permissiver_v4.zip.
I'm assuming there would be no way to get Google pay to work with this if it doesn't pass safetynet?

That's good to know! Thanks.
Thank you so much for this Official Build. I'm using it as a daily driver.
Will May build come out?

Before flashing the rom, here's some bugs I've faced (will update as they come up, could be because of the kernel and not the rom itself):
Restoring from a backup on Google results in fingerprint not working for screen unlock. Restore at the setup on first startup or after continuing setup from the notification, same result. Fingerprint does work for payment apps.
Really jumpy adaptive brightness.
Cannot file transfer in USB, in ROM and recovery. USB controlled by setting stuck to "this device", won't switch. Only way to flash for me was to adb sideload. SD card or OTG might be easier.
Unable to flash twrp to ramdisk as of now, system/data partition is only available after format data in twrp.
And for the not bug but annoying during flashing, there's no recovery partition. Recovery is loaded into the boot partition. And there's two fricking slots. It's nice that we can have two recoveries, TWRP and crdroid, but annoying nonetheless.
Ported over from MIUI Global 13.0.9.0, I'd stay with MIUI and wait for the kernel to be released if I knew the drawbacks beforehand.

Same bugs as above, including:
Stock camera app broken
Personal pet peeve, derpfest recovery doesn't allow switching slots
Can't get SD card to work. I setup the SD card in SPES as portable storage, format, move it to another Android (RN3), copy a file from pc to RN3 through file transfer mode, shows up in files app, SD card back to SPES and asks for a format to use the SD card. (It sucks that there's no file transfer nor a way to send files from PC to SPES using an SD card. Don't have a type c OTG lying around)
Plus points:
Great idle battery management so far, attached a pic below. Haven't seen deep sleep after setting up all of my apps, hope disabling a few wakelocks will increase idle time further (faq about wakelocks in this, there's a guide linked in that post)
Unlimited photos storage, toggle to show device as pixel by default
Change ambient display notification style to that of AOD, it's really clean if you don't want notifications filling the lockscreen
Turn off volte icons
Refresh rate toggle in quick settings

The first option flashes the current recovery you are using to ramdisk, while the second option allows you to pick the recovery img you want to flash to ramdisk, it can be twrp, orangefox, or any other recovery img.

It's In the first post.
If you set the setting "wake the lock screen with notifications", then when a notification arrives and the screen lights up, the lock screen wallpaper is not displayed.
