Never get an update on GW3 - R850 - Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

Current Version is : R850XXU1ATF3/R850OXA1ATF3
Originally from Korean Region and replaced it with XSP (Singapore) just to get SPay. But never received any update since then. Everytime I check, it always says "Your Software is Up To Date".
According to the instruction last time changing the region will not have any impact on the future product update.
Today, I just checked : https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-R850/XSP/doc.html and apparently had some updates and most recently with : R850XXU1BUD1.
What did I do wrong? And how do I get the latest update now? and if manually update, where can I get the file R850XXU1BUD1 from?

ATF3 is simple wrong for XSP CSC... not valid for chain of trust/FOTA crap
http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/XSP/SM-R850/version.xml
ATF6 is inside chain...
Here you could find infos for helping to find Firmware Files...
Notify Update
I am for now to lazy to search for you... maybe later more motivation...
You could try to fix your problem with netOdin and correct Firmware Files for XSP...
Best Regards

No problem,
But how do I determine which firmware files are correct? I had the impression that R850XXU1ATF3 would be the correct one.
I'm currently trying to download from : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=2188818919693790187
File Name : R850XXU1BUAB_Tizen_3File_CSC (OXA).EF_53e0ae776a.zip
Hope it's the correct one.

Hi,
Just to give you an update that I was able to succesfully updated to
R850XXU1BUAB_Tizen_3File_CSC (OXA).EF_53e0ae776a.zip
Do you reckon that I would be able to do a software update now? The latest should be R850XXU1BUD1 (as shown from : https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-R850/XSP/doc.html) but mine is still
AP: R850XXU1BUA8
CSC : R850OXA1BUA8
Country : XSP (Singapore)
Thanks, a very curious fellow here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey adfree,
Since you seem to be very knowledgeable and I've been waiting for you as well to give me some hint.
Nothing seem to work.
Currently, I have R850XXU1BUA8/R850OXA1BUA8 ==> it's an EIGHT not a B
I understand that this may not be valid for the OTA in : http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/XSP/SM-R850/version.xml
I'm trying to get the version that can be inside the chain, but I can' tseem to find it. Would you be able to direct me to the right place to download?
Thanks a bunch, great appreciate your help

Hello friends, I am from Latin America, I have the SM-305G device, the phone is bought from a telephone company, I had problems with FRP, I used ODIN, downloading the combination software, but the error is always the same: please get the approval to use factory binaries (pit), I have downloaded the pit file from a server, it has not worked, also extracted through MIRACLE BOX, but the problem persists always, I also used the Z3x tool, but I did not get results, now I come here to that can give me a hand and thus be able to solve this.

MrMike is correct.
You say "current version" yet they are all different variants, for which we can't advise what filmware you need. It should only be one variant, not 3...
As your phone is a marriage of parts, updating it may brick the phone.
Stick with it or get a full refund.

Can't Flash Official Firmware

Hello!
I bought a new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960F) from a third party shop.
I saw that there is no Software Update option.
After 2 days I discovered that it's in a custom rom (may be) called Lamlazy OS.
Then I downloded official firmware from #sammobile
And tried to flash with Odin.
But every time it failed with an error " repartition operation fail"
So will you all please suggest me what I can do now?
Or the flashing procedure ....
Thanks
i doubt that your phone N960F. Go to download mode and in the first line there will be Actual model number of phone.

the problem in the OP isnt caused by a model number mismatch, its because he is trying to flash the PIT. Flash it again without the PIT and it wont experience that issue

R845F OTA issue after CSC change

Hi
I change CSC on my Galaxy Watch3 few months ago to get Samsung pay working. It was originally Indian version and changed it to somewhere in Europe.
I cannot get any OTA after that. When I check software update it says the watch is on the latest version which is not true.
Here is the current version info: R845FXXU1CTJ5/R845FOXA1CTJ5/R845USQU1ATF2
Kindly guide me what changes should I make to fix the OTA problem, or get the latest firmware any other way.
Thanks
Hello everyone, I did a lot of reading on this forum but I am not able to understand how to make my watch work with OTA. Should I change CSC back to the original one? My watch is from India.
Code:
R845FXXU1CTJ5/R845FOXA1CTJ5/R845FXXU1CTJ5
Can you compare your text string with this?
To be 100 % sure enter this Code:
*#1234#
This shows all usefull infos about your Firmware...
R845USQU1ATF2
Because this is for sure wrong... for FOTA update chain.
Btw.
You have Link to CTJ5 Firmware?
If yes. Please Link.
Otherwise I will upload...

Thanx in advance.

I am surprised how dumb have I got. LOL
Here it is from the watch @adfree :
AP: R845FXXU1CTJ5
CP: R845USQU1ATF2
CSC: R845FOXA1CTJ5
Thanks again! Appreciate your help!!
Just to be 100% correct. Here is screenshot from the watch.
CP aka Modem aka Baseband is not correct.
Try to flash only this file with netOdin:
Code:
CP_R845FXXU1CTJ5_CL1598457_QB17229736_SIGNED.tar.md5
If FOTA chain is then fixed... depend if your Bootloader sboot.bin is valid CTJ5...
Best Regards
Amazing, thanks a lot @adfree. Flashing CP fixed the issue and now I can update the watch.
I am still wondering which is the best region to have all the health features unlocked. Do you have any preference in this regard?
Now I am at this version:
If I want to change CSC again, will I have to perform all the steps:
1. Install combination firmware.
2. sdb pull, change csc, push.
3. Install AP, CP, CSC etc?
-
Thanks again
Okay, just found out that I need my phone and watch to be in the same region for Samsung Health Monitor app. My phone and watch both are from India. I changed region on watch to get Samsung Pay when it was not launched in India. Now I am getting weird issues. Can I change the region back to India ?
Thanks for all the help you are providing.
IMHO INS CSC is inside other package...
http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/INS/SM-R845F/version.xml
R845FXXU1EUK2/R845FOXX1EUK2/R845FXXU1EUK2
WARNING!
No newer Leaks available...
So you have trouble to reach again EUK2 via FOTA... because only old Firmware Versions leaked...
And Bootloader sboot.bin is not updated... so you MIX odl and new stuff...
= invalid FOTA chain
This is at the moment NOT fixible...
Best Regards
Understood! So I'll remain in Europe. I found a modded version of Samsung health monitor somewhere and used it to get ECG and BP monitoring working.
Thanks!!

Are you using a device which wasn't offered by your service provider? You may need to flash different firmware.
Did you flash your current FW, or did you receive it via OTA? What is your phone's CSC?
If you flashed it earlier, flash again. If not be patient....

I've never flashed anything, I'm using the phone as I bought it about a year ago. I travel a lot though, so I change sim cards quite frequently.
My CSC is G998BOXM3BUK8

Changing SIM-cards regularly could be the cause...
What is shown under software version under phone info - software details - software version provider? (Or similar menu names) See attached SS.
You could consider flashing latest FW. This threat provides all info...
