Hi guys,
Just wondering if there are any differences between so called "global" versions.
I noticed 3 things...
1. My dialer/contact app/message app are from Oppo. The ones I saw on YT look like from Google
2. Latest update A.17 showed on my phone with almost 300 mb to download. For other people here it was only around 160-170MB.
3. Except Google Play I have also App Market which I assume is from Oppo.
Do you have google dialers/messaging apps or from Oppo? What about this AppMarket? Do you have it?

Yes i think contacts is the same app (incl. dialer).

I have the leather backed Chinese version and there are a few issues that I might not be able to live with. I can't use Google messages as default sms app, at first I was not able to restore all data from google during setup i ended up finding a way to do that. The big issue is my apps passwords are not being auto filled, works fine through the chrome browser but not with apps. I don't even get the option to have the information saved in autofill after I enter the password in apps. I don't think that's a problem in the Global version, correct me if I'm wrong. I love the phone but I think I'm just going to sell it at this point after having it less than a week.

mine is also chinese version and i have the same problem. Another problem I have is that notifications don't show up in Always-on Display. Do you have this problem too?

Yes, I'm having the same problem. If I cannot flash a global rom on this phone I'm going to have to get rid of it.

I posted this in the general section but couldn't get an answer.
Basically I flashed and rooted JPC to my Bell Vibrant via ODIN, but I've lost the Samsung Email app, which IMO is the best mail app I've used on android.
Does anyone have the Samsung mail app? ANy way you could share it with me?
I've tried k9, maildroid, stock email and they all are incredibly unreliable or slow.

I've yet to see something called Samsung Mail. Wasn't present in JM3, JM5 or JM6
It was deffinitely there in JG9 when I got my phone. I guess it basically tied into SocialHub, but it was pretty reliable and had a unified inbox.
Such App exists?
Whenever people mentioned I thought it was the normal Email app
the normal mail app has a unified inbox. there's one apk, i think it's social hub, that showed mail + messages at the same time but that one just started the normal mail app

The samsung email app I used was deffinitely different to the mail app. it's unified inbox and account switching was far better and it downloaded mail really fast.
Does anyone know where I can download the Bell JG9 firmware? Maybe i can extract the apk from it?

use Root Explorer to view /system/app, should be in there but the name might be different from what's shown in the app.
If you find it I'd be interested in having a look. Or can someone post a screenshot at least?

But that would require me to flash back to JH2 from JPC, and I'm not sure how easy it would be to flash back?
If I make a backup using clockwork, can I just flash that back, instead of having to do the whole JPC+root process?

Wonder why only the Bell phones got the Smasung email app. So weird.
So I had to restore my JPC rom. This time however, samsung email was there. I'll dig around and try and find the apk.
In the meantime I took some screenshots. Just gmail accounts right now, since my schools IMAP server is down.

I suspect it could be some software " bug"

YES it is a software issue becouse i try touch test app and it is work well in this side of screen
I have the same problem in different apps like eBay, amazon, Facebook and play store, i use a Note 5 n920p.

Me too' I have the same issue with my n920c. It's random. Please someone tell us if they have a solution for this problem because it seems that there is no solution in samsung side for now.
I have the SM-N920V. I have noticed the same problem, but it only happens when I have rebooted within the previous 5 minutes. Therefore I feel as though it is a software issue because some sort of component had not yet finished loading from the boot. Is this the case you folks have found?

no i have this issue randomly during the day not boot related
My wife has this issue on her LG V10. Turned out the Facebook messenger app was the cause. Not sure how or why, but since I have uninstalled it the issue has stopped. This has been the case for a few others in the V10. Thought I would share this as it may or may not work for you.

Can you have her reinstall it to see if the problem comes back? That would prove the issue and help others...

And yet from time to time ( not a lot ) i have issues with Play back button .Its some "bug in either some stock Note5 Roms or Play app etc ,( as per my post above ?)

I have reinstalled the messenger app and it returns. Please don't think this is the only fix. I do believe this is a software issue on multiple platforms, just think messenger apk does something to trigger this bug. Again, if it works for you I'm glad it helped, if it did not, I.m sorry and do hope there is a solution soon as this is an annoying problem.

i disabled messenger app from morning till now, seems this is the perfect solution and no problems tell now i will feed you back again tomorrow, i will reset to factory and install all apps without messenger to be sure

I thought i had fixed this problem after setting Gmail as my default email but alas no.
The only way to recieve emails is when i pick the phone up and unlock the screen.
When the phones screen is off no emails are recieved.Whatapp and Text work ok.
Gmail is set to sync its the default in advanced settings.Its not even listed in protected apps so i cant turn that on.Im not sure if its the phone or marshmallow just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this.

it was duscussed before, its marshmallow bug, i believe that huawei will release one more update for marshmallow in Q1, because this is unacceptable for people that are using emails every day, and its one of the most important features that needs to be fixed

Not on mine it isnt.
I got 1 email after updating the gmail app but its back to before no email when screen is off.
Same here.It's quite irritating.

Ive tried many fixes none work.You might try something and think it works but after x amount of time you stop getting notifications again.
Have a look here different phone but same problem and try some of the fixes,one may work for you.

Personally i dont trust the phone anymore to deliver messages so im looking to a Xiaomi Mi5.
Ive downloaded the Inbox app that has restored notifications.... or i thought it did FFS.
Apparently the Nexus 6P suffers this bug too.

Dont know mate i cant remember if i had the problem with lollipop.
To be honest the only difference i see in Marshmallow is this bug.
well I better get my phone fully charged for the restore to lollipop, lol
I'll post back if it works as if its a Marshmellow issue only I'll upgrade when they fix it

With the 2nd update back to B200 i couldnt get the 3 button method to work so used the
Tap in dialer:

That worked and im back on B200 Lollpop 5.01

Interesting if Nexus 6p has it as that huawei built, assume they doing something off with standby app handling in kernel & it should of been resolved many devices ago.
Unsolved ssues like this is killing huawei's sales & brand image.

If you have regular Pinterest already Installed it will conflict with the dark Pinterest installation so removed then try again because it works after doing this method
I installed the app, put my email, a password, name, and age, but the app keep saying I have to write down my age. The result is that I was unable to create an account and ended up uninstalling the app. It's a pity, because I was curious to see the look of the app. Regards
PS.: Nevermind. I managed to install it and yes, it looks great, very nice job. I had to install first the "regular" Pinterest app, create an account, then uninstall it, install Dark Pinterest, enter with my account data, and everything worked fine from there. Thanks for the app.

At&t note 8 Android 9 one UI won't let me sign in. The Google link does not do anything and Facebook link has link key error.

if you can't create an account you can create it on official pinterest app, site or install apk editor and change the package name to com.pinterest
cant sign in at all.. Google button does nothing except popup account list.
edit: Login works, I had to download and install the original app from the Playstore,, login with that. now I can login,l

Hey guys, I've been enjoying this dark pinterest for over two months now, and I'd say it is really awesome.
Since mid August though, I have been seeing a notice saying "Update your app by August 15th to keep using your Pinterest". I'm however concerned that if I update it, I'll loose my beloved dark mode.
Has anyone updated their dark pinterest? Has it taken you back to the default white/bright pinterest? Please share your experience.

It took me back to the white pinterest after the update. So I uninstalled it and downloaded the Dark Pinterest again. Now it won't let me save anything or gives me this error message:
"Your action could not be completed. Update your app to keep using Pinterest."
It no longer gives me the option to update either. I tried to go in and find maybe a link to do so and found no such link. Although after reading through a bunch of things I did find something that said, if I continue using the app after September 28, 2019 I am ok with the new cookie policy. So... idk. Obviously a noob here so maybe I am missing something...

I didn't update because I was afraid to lose the dark theme, since apparently the developer lost interest on this app. And yes, from some point I lose the ability to save pins but the app let me download them and that is enough for me. However, those who have updated (or when I also lose the dark theme…) can try this: install regular Pinterest and look if there is some Substratrum theme that will dark it. You can also make a copy of dark Pinterest with App Cloner and let it run along with normal Pinterest (I have made a copy and it works perfectly fine, so I can make two different searches at the same time in Dark Pinterest).
