Really great that this was ported ,installed cia twrp without a hitch ,the only thing when trying to restore data ,keeps saying Data transfer has an error ,any way around that ,?

Point blank doesnt work.
Hey, I'm new to rooting, I've lost my stock ROM and now using swx v4, tried downloading other ROMS like lineageOS but I've always been put in a boot loop until restore a backup of swx ROM, do I need stock ROM to install this ROM? If I do, can anyone help me find a stock ROM for my A705FN/DS?

You need a OneUI 3.1 (Android 11) vendor to install the ROM properly. Here, put this file (check attached files) in your phone, wipe cache, dalvik and the vendor, and flash it to the vendor partition, then flash the rom. Try that.

hey, sorry im new to all this, do I need special software like odin or adb for that or can I just instal it using twrp?
Edit: I tried flashing it normally and it flashed normally, but the room always flashes stuff unconditionally, is that normal? I try booting up and it just boot loops twice and goes back into twrp.

Download frija, use it to download your stock 11 rom, flash that with odin. Then hop over to my guide, follow the instructions for rooting android 11, then once all that is complete, install dotos per the first page instructions.
this rom is intended to be flashed on stock vendor (for now), I'm not gonna support custom firmware/kernels.

If you have riva then you have to flash Nougat firmware instead of Oreo.

I am using rolex. I had android Nougat with the Stock MIUI ROM, then I flashed the custom ROM nitrogen OS which comes with android Q (10). I am using it for sometime now. Can I flash dotOS directly or do I have to flash nougat first and then flash dotOS?

No need to flash nougat. Just wipe system, dalvik, cache, data, vendor flash the rom and then gapps and reboot to system.

I tried flashing this rom with NikGapps since there are no associated Gapps with it, however, when someone is trying to call me there are no notification or option for me to answer it. By any chance, is there a problem when using this with NikGapps?
P.S.: Tried BitGapps instead and the call option is visible, but, I like NikGapps more.

After a bit of tests with both 5.2.1 and 5.1.3, I have terrible battery usage, it can't even last 2 hours. Anyone else having the same issue?

Yes Gapps included, whats the confusion ? Just dont flash GApps seperately..
Great ROM. I found few issues though:
1. SafetyNet doesnt pass out of the box.
2. Portrait mode doesnt work in selfie Cam & 64MP mode doesnt work too.
Hope you will be able to fix these in the next update

Found bug on AOD, like sometimes it reboots automatically.
Request- Try to port latest miui camera. ANX dont work as gud as MIUI.
ADD sim enable/disable switch.
No vibration settings for vibration.
Network indicator don't work.
In game(PUBG) mic volume isn't as loud as other roms. Please try to fix....
Edit- i guess its not an issue with AOD, I turned off AOD, but again faced random reboots. Please figure it out, and i don't have any log regarding to random reboots.
Rom Review- I am a fan of DOT OS, and this build is awesome, app launching is soo good and smooth... Everything works great, some bugs but hope you will fix them soon. Love your work bro, and thanks for porting such awesome rom.

Good day to everyone here, please which gapps package should be use or recommended? because when I flash DotOS and gapps and reboot, my phone always reboot back into recovery. Am I doing something wrong here?

Nikkgapps seems to be recommended of what i've read. Some users tried with flame gapps but just basic version (ie not the full gapps package) to avoid bootloop.

Hi, have you managed to install the ROM with flame gapps?
pretty perfect rom, only problem I have is location services dont work in many apps, only Google Maps work but f.e. Snapchat just shows "Can't locate your device", can anyone help with that?

I have some issue with gps too, but many apps works, gmaps won't work for me

I should just wipe System, data, cache and davilk as the thread says? No vendor or internal storage?
On my current ROM the clean flash instruction includes Format data, and then wipe everything...

You have to format partition after flashing the rom. Make sure to flash twrp after flashing every new rom or else you will lose recovery, and also formate before reboot

Flashing instructions
NOTE: First boot may take up to 10 minutes.
CLEAN FLASH
1) Go to TWRP
2) Format data
3) Flash ROM. It will flash to the opposite slot.
4) Don't reboot yet.
5) Flash TWRP again. IMPORTANT, if you want to keep TWRP!!!
6) Press reboot button, NOT reboot system. Select the opposite slot. That is where the new ROM was flashed. DON'T REBOOT SYSTEM!!!
7) Reboot recovery
8) Flash magisk
9) Flash Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip
10) Reboot
DIRTY FLASH

Hey I'm wondering if this rom requires GAPPS. Also is there an option to force kill apps with the back button? EvolutionX seems to work, for now. Not my favorite rom though.

How's the battery life on this one? Evolution X has...underwhelming battery life. I hardly ever last a day, regardless if I use my phone a lot or a little.
