Can't Make Calls on Redmi 9 Lancelot - Redmi 9 / Poco M2 Questions & Answers

hi, I recently bricked my phone (Redmi 9 Lancelot) by installing recovery). I was stuck in bootloop unable to access fastboot.. eventually through guides on this site and others I managed to get it up and running using SP Flash.
Now everything works but one thing, I can't make calls. I have mobile data, I can receive texts and calls and WIFI is working (although there is a NVRAM network mentioned on my WIFI list. I've also noticed that the mobile signal is much weaker and drops a lot.
The phone was unlocked before i tried install the recovery but now it's locked again and i'm unable to attach my phone to the MiAccount. I read that there may be something wrong with the IMEI but all the guides i've seen require root which as far as i know i can't do unless it's unlocked, also I would have thought I would be able to get SMS texts if the IMEI is broken.
Any help would be appreciated, I'm ok with wiping the phone and putting on a custom rom if that's the only way (if its even possible)

saya berhasil membuat 2 imei redmi 9.
selamat mencoba, berhasil 1000%

MOD EDIT: English Translation Below
I managed to make 2 imei redmi 9.
1. unlock bootloader, flash rom eng!!! or assembled rom.
2. After writing IMEI using Maumeta version 10.
3. install twrp and backup nvram and nvdata on rom eng!!!, copy the results of the twrp backup to the computer.
4. flash format & download global rom, then unlock the bootloader again, turn on the cellphone until the start menu, then turn off the cellphone and install twrp, then input the backup results to twrp and restore, then install the kernel from strombreaker v1. 0, when finished immediately reboot the system.
good luck, it worked 1000%

xiaomi mi 8 bootloop

Hello,
I bought a mi8 with open bootloader and tried to install xiamoi.eu rom. Now I'm stuck in the 'powered by android' boot screen.
How I installed the rom:
1. installed TWRP_dipper via fastboot
2. wiped the phone
3. Copied this 'xiaomi.eu_multi_MI8_V10.2.2.0.PEACNXM_v10-9.zp' to the internal storage
4. Installed the rom
I can't access the TWRP menu anymore. If i try to start it, I get to the 'powered by android' bootloop screen. I've already tried flashing twrp again.
**Edit: I installed a newer twrp version and can now start it***
***Edit 2: Had to "format data" not just wipe, and confirm format with "yes".***
thanks for help.
Hope I have no Brick now

Best thing to do is start from scratch
Use this guide to recover it
https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2
You need to view this page in desktop mode, if using a mobile browser.
In step 5, change the flash option at the bottom of the Mi Flash Tool to the 'clean all' option
I assume from it being K20 Pro and with a global ROM, that you have an Indian phone.
Get the latest Indian fastboot ROM from here
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/raphael/
You want the Redmi K20 Pro Indian Stable Fastboot ROM.

After flashing TWRP use the following command to boot into TWRP
Code:
fastboot oem reboot-recovery
Do this immediately after flashing TWRP, whilst still in fastboot mode and connected to the PC.
This will boot into your newly installed TWRP.
Now flash Magisk.
Get Magisk from here
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/tag/v20.4
Always get Magisk from the official github repository, so you know you have a genuine unmodified version.

Did you WIPE data or FORMAT data?
It is also clearly distinguished in TWRP, one option is called format and the other wipe
Two different things, for flashing different ROM etc, it is required to FORMAT data (wiping only removes files and folders but keeps previous filesystem with its previous encryption, formating is required to let the new ROM access storage)

You need to fully extract the ROM. It is a Unix/Linux zipped tar file, which needs unzipping twice in Windows. After the first time you should have a *.tar file, which you then unzip again. After fully extracting you should point the Mi Flash Tool to the folder that was extracted.

do not panic , it is a very simple problem , you don't need to flash fastboot rom , just do the following:
away
1. Go into recovery ,
2. flash Magisk uninstaller , this will restore your boot.img
3. reboot your phone and enjoy.
It will boot normally do not worry.

mi 8 se soft bricked everytime I install a rom exept the stock rom

hi guys
i just bought a brand new mi 8 se with a unlocked bootloader ! it was running android 8.1 and i installed miui_MI8SE_V11.0.2.0.QEBCNXM_3363abf171_10.0 on it with a old twrp (i think 3.2) because the newest twrp just refused to boot . after installing that rom recovery or the OS won't boot so i installed the newest twrp and both android and twrp 3.5.0 booted no problem !
buy that rom is a china version and it's BS ....
i downloaded miui 11 from xiaomi.eu and attempted installing it ! i did the following :
enabled usb debugging and reboot to fastboot mode and installed twrp 3.5.0 and booted in twrp
then i used advance wipe option and wiped everything but internal storage
so i installed the rom and wiped data with writing yes and rebooted the phone but it shows the fastboot mode and i can't boot into android or twrp ....
so i have to use miflash to install the stock rom and repeat the process and follow every guide i could find one by one but still i'll stuck in fastboot
HELP ME PLS .....
i just want to install the miui 11 or 12 eu on this phone but it doesn't work
btw fastboot command didn't work at the start on my pc so i found a batch file for AMD and after using that fastboot on pc started working just fine
I found a solution to it ! just follow this guy ! he's my hero

Perform this at your own risk. You might LOSE all data on your phone.

//
Update: OrangeFox Recovery Project for Xiaomi 11T Pro (vili) with the same installation instructions.
Caution: this recovery is intended for use with MIUI vendors ONLY, even having the flashing capability of MiLahaina based system, do not try to boot it on MiLahaina ROMs, as the builds aren't compatible.
Bugs as for now:

This might ERASE ALL YOUR DATA so do a BACKUP encase.
Your bootloader will be unlocked.
Prerequisites:
The bootloader must be unlocked. Click here for a tutorial.
Install ADB and Fastboot Drivers from here (Select the latest) --> https://androidmtk.com/download-minimal-adb-and-fastboot-tool )
Install drivers for Xiaomi 11T Pro --> https://droidfilehost.com/download/download-xiaomi-usb-driver-for-windows (For Windows Only!)

Not 100% sure but it's probably because your device is encrypted which is the default behavior of miui when you setup your lockscreen method.

Not yet, we still don't have recovery rom yet, the current eu rom is for fastboot.

How can I remove it? When I put my password it decrypt tho, should I keep it like that (keep putting password whenever I open twrp) or remove it? Which is better?

It is better to enter the password every time as this will enhance your security in case you lose your phone they won't find the password is decrypted therefore they can't access your data.
But still there is another way they might access your data and that if your bootloader is unlocked usually the best way to protect yourself is to leave the password in twrp and lock your bootloader.

What issues? Could you be more specific? I have both and I don't have any issues...
i have Tried as below:
Option1: Tried to boot Twrp after that go to Advanced > Flash Current TWRP > Done Magisk was missing so flashed Magisk from Twrp.
Not booting on system
Option2: Flashed TWRP on SLOT A & SLOT B and now messed up
This unofficial version of TWRP + Magisk root seems to cause network problems for me as the mobile connection dropped from 4G(LTE) to 2G(EDGE).
Using Magisk root without TWRP works like a charm.
Anyone else facing this issue?
I flashed the latest magisk on this TWRP and no problem facing.

It won't as it might brick your phone so make sure you install this in 11T Pro (vili) not 11T (agate)
Good morning, I use it with the 11t Pro, and no problem! great everything.
But now they updated to Android 12 and Miui 13, and it doesn't work anymore...
The developer will update the recovery to work on android 12??
First of all, thank you very much for the hard work you do.

i got help from the discord server and here's what i did:
> launched TWRP > Advanced > ADB Sideload
> installed the newest platform-tools on my PC
> then flashed a recovery rom with version 12.5.10
>> NOTE: if it crashed at 47% - 49% that's fine, it's an ADB bug so 47 - 49 means 100%
