Today I tested the new function of the astromode. My smartphone was on the tripod for 30 minutes, but the timelapse recording was only 1 second long.
Is that supposed to be the case or is it because I'm using Android 12 Beta 2? Regardless of whether the smartphone is on the tripod for 5 or 30 minutes, it ends always with 1 second timelapse.
What can you say in general about the new astromode?

I am using a galaxy Camera with Lapse it pro (since it doesn't come with any time lapse features) and regardless of any of the settings it still takes 2 seconds per picture (trying to get to 1/2 or 1 second). I know the camera will take 20 pictures in about 3 or 4 seconds using continuous shoot mode . Any ideas on how to speed it up, I'm trying to get to shoot a project during it's creation.

That is odd, I just downloaded it. changed the settings as low as I could, still, every 100 milsec. I think the main camera uses the ram to do the rapid shot, where as this program dont. will have to see if a file modification can make it work faster.
hi,
apologies if this has been discussed already but after running a search didnt find my answer.
Problem. Chinese replacement radio unit from Bosstar running Androind 8.1. Initial boot time is 35 sec. at which time the reverse becomes available. There is a menu option to put the unit to sleep for NONE/10MIN/30MIN/1HR after which time the unit goes into shutdown. Once shut down it takes 35 sec for reverse camera.
When in sleep the reverse camera is up and running within 5 sec.
Question.
How can I extend the delay from 1 hr to say 18 hrs. that would cover majority of situations where i want the camera to be active straight away ?
Is there a way to prioritise the camera over radio which is up and running in 10 sec regardless of the state f the unit (sleep/shutdown)
The supplier is beging unhelpful saying the re-programming is not possible.
Love the rest of the unit with the exception of the phone dialler and the bluetooth streaming app (same app as dialler). generic and feature poor. No idea how to replace it.
i have updated my huawei p30 pro to EMUI 10.1.0 on 14 July 2020, in region pakistan, and phone was bought in UAE.
The camera app has some settings changed after update, and placed in different section but thats not the case.
Story:
i have done night photography through huawei p30 pro on its previous software, through its official camera app from pro mode, and shutter speed was working fine and giving proper result like if set for 30 seconds so it were capturing for 30 seconds.
But after the update, and tonight at 16 july, i was trying to capture milky way through it, i have set all the procedures needed like tracking milky way and tripod setup etc.
Now i was capturing photos with 30 seconds shutter speed and when the timer will be over the phone will stuck on loading and the pictures will be appeared after a while in gallery.
But i have captured many pictures and still got no perfect result and so i got bit curious because i have watched review of samsung galaxy s20 series phone and it was capturing fine but in my huawei only a tiny bit of something was showing in resulted pictures of milky way.
then i got focused on shutter speed, and it was set on 30 seconds but when i campared it through stop watch in other phone so it was capturing for 15 seconds but the screen was showing that it is set to 30 seconds, i restarted cam app, but still same, tried shutter speed with different mode like wide, normall, optical zoomed, but all are giving 15 seconds and similarly 7 seconds for 15 seconds, and rest it goes upto 32 seconds in 30 seconds mode but capturing is stopped at 15 seconds and rest is just processing only, and only more thing is that EV function gets locked if iso is modified, and then even if you set to auto of any other value but EV will remain locked.
So please someone verify it with old version if you have it and if not then please if any expert is availble so please carify me something, and tell me how to downgrade it so i can get the feature for 30 second back.
I currently use the pixel 3 XL and thinking to upgrade to the pixel 5.
When I take continuous shots with normal camera or in portrait mode, after the 4th or 5th photo, the shutter button freezes for a few secs to process the photos before I can take 1 more and freezes again for a few secs.
I read on theverge.com review of the pixel 5 that there is also a lag between shots.
Can someone with the pixel 5 comment on this?

It's likely due to the camera no longer having the dedicated Pixel Neural Core chip (or whatever they called it). Prior models had this. Supposedly the 765G processor is supposed to have something similar (from what people have said online) but I guess that's not the case? Taking pictures w/ the Pixel 5 now requires a few seconds for each of the pictures to fully process. It's likely unable to queue up more than a few pics at a time to properly process.

Hello, I have low vision. It is very difficult for me to read. I would like to know if you can help me. I have a motorola edge 30 ultra. I would like to take pictures of the stars with the g cam, but I am trying different versions of the application and I cannot keep the shutter open with the main camera. or telephoto in some versions of the application, only 10 seconds of exposure are maintained, I need a minute and a half or two. Does anyone know which version can be used or how to solve this?
