is it possible to do any of the following -
- use adb or ladb or any other method to instill 'split screen' on the Redmi Note 10 5G as it seems to on other Miui 12 devices but not on this particular device?
- use adb or ladb or any settings or other method to get the Redmi Note 10 5G to connect to only 5G as that option is missing in network choices?

There are apps on google store that can do "split screen", I used one called "Split Screen - Dual Window For Multitasking". I've read somewhere that Xiaomi disabled some functions on our phones because they had problems with optimising the rom, it's possible they will reenable them with an update.
For locking phone to 5g try mtk engineering mode (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/first-root-experience-failure.4288813/#post-85157527), there are some network related options there.

1. Content: technical description of XIAOMI devices.
Look at files of the directory /etc - it is a main configuration directory for Android device.
Do not be blind : "Chinese", or "global", or "stable", or "beta" terms of the name of ROM has no difference for 99+% of users.
Main thing is a technical description and the content of ROM for each user.
I counted 213 pre-installed services / programs in XIAOMI MUI 10 8.8.23 "Chinese" ROM after installation and 1 boot.
The "desktop" of laucher of XIAOMI has 13 icons, 8 of which are links to XIAOMI services.
There is NO tech description of XIAOMI REDMI ROM for the users.
What will the user do with the REDMI device, if the manufacturer had not provided the user with the content of the device?
There are 2 options for the user:
1) to find the solution for himself by himself in weeks,
2) to avoid to purchase the XIAOMI brand in future.
2. The configuration for Chinese users represents spam or bloatware of XIAOMI only.
The configuration for non Chinese users has no fruitfull data / programs, but it is the same XIAOMI bloatware, with the Chinese keyboard.
3. xiao_Mi account.
Why does XIAOMI force the user to be connected to unknown WI-FI after 1st boot?
Answer: the XIAOMI wants user to be connected to XIAOMI server all the time and wants the user to pay for 4G internet for XIAOMI needs.
4. Bluetooth.
Ooooh , it is the slowest technology to transfer files. Most users needs fast 2.0 or 3.0 usb / fast 4g connection for files transfer, never BT.
Exeption is to steel files of your partner under the table in a restaurant, but only
if you know the exact name of each file, the exact location of each file in your partner phone, the partner allowed BT in his/her phone.
5. USB 2.0
USB 2.0 port is slow in all XIAOMI products, depends upon the quality of SD card also.
No configuration for USB 2.0 is set.
XIAOMI does not allow a user to use USB port without the permission of XIAOMI.
6. Antenna and 4G speed.
4G speed depends upon the antenna device and many other data inside the programs (expl, browser),
4G config is not set corectly in all XIAOMI REDMI devices.
XIAOMI does not disclose the specification of the antenna device, except the useless combination of symbols (a.k.a. model) in the config file for the REDMI device.
The user is not able to use 4G connection without XIAOMI permission a.k.a. Mi account.
7. Xiaomi browser.
The name and origin of browser is hidden.
The XIAOMI broser connects the user via 4G somehow, to google by default, on slow speed.
That s all benefts of XIAOMI inbuilt browser.
8. Webcam
No accessable seetings for the the advertised screen resolution 1440x720 .
The tech describtion of webcam is hidden.
9. Audio.
No accesable settings or the config files have useless settings for audio, expl 96Mhz and 192Mhz .
The desription of audio device is hidden .
10. Codecs
"What is codec?", XIAOMI enginners ask .
"Do you have sound in phone? Yes. So enjoy! Do NOT ask quetions on quality of audio card" , XIAOMI decided so.
11. XIAOMI cloud.
"Where is the geographical location of the data center for MI cloud?", a user asks.
It is a viartual storage, free or for fee for a user.
The term "virtual" means a user can not control this storage and can not control the access to purely unknown storage.
So, XIAOMI named this storage with marketing name "Mi cloud".
XIAOMI does not disclose the location of the data center for their MI cloud storage in China.
"XIAOMI has no idea about the term latency", XIAOMI enginners thought enough.
12. Lot of /proc files have Samsung (unknown) version origin.
Where is the info about Samsung files in REDMI device?
13. Marketing term "security".
Do you really believe that the XIAOMI user must
- remember at least 3 passwords for the use of his REDMI device every minute (mi account, user email box, lost password phrases),
- make photo of his face,
- ask the permission of XIAOMI and to access his email box each time after foggoten password,
- draw pictures a.k.a pin at the screen
and
- XIAOMI helps to find the lost device outside the user home or inside user home ever?
All these features are pure bool****, which take time and create difficulties for everyday use.
14. How can I delete XIAOMI "pre-built" programs from my REDMI 6A/6/6 pro phone?, a user asks
"We prohibit the uninstallation of XIAOMI programs from REDMI device", XIAOMI answers silently.
15. Languages and locales.
XIAOMI introduces users in the Chinese and 5 more languages in each XIAOMI phone.
The XIAOMI associated teams, which advertise themselves as "XIAOMI + some region" (global, European, Indian, any country )
make cosmetic changes only in their local MUI 10 ROMs . Expl, translation from half-English of XIAOMI.
Each user needs 2 max languages, not 6 ones by default, not 20 ones by others.
What is the directory of those locales / language files, which can be deleted by user?
No answer by XIAOMI.
16. RECOVERY mode.
There is no possibility to flash MUI 10 without errors in recovery mode by this date.
As XIAOMI failed to provide RECOVERY software for REDMI 6a.
XIAOMI forces the users to use 3rd party software (recovery mode) firsly,
than XIAOMI probit to uninstall their bloatware following the use of 3rd party software by the user.
Do you see pure lie?
17. RESULTS:
The XIAOMI created their software, a.k.a. MUI 10, on the Android 8.1 software and MTK software and hardware against the basic needs of the user.
Each technical user must set his own configuration files in above device for fast internet, best quality of sound / video.
Each technical user will try to delete useless XIAOMI bloatware, at leat 8 configuration files by default.
Such mental job takes much time for the technical user.
Hello,
I don't know if you know I use the handy application CamSam Plus (warning of "danger zones") in addition to Waze.
CamSam Plus has an interesting feature, a widget that remains visible above other applications (like Waze for example).
Until now, both applications have worked perfectly and cohabited together on my smartphones (Honor, Huawei, Samsung and Oneplus), but this is no longer the case since I bought the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro (and I'm very disappointed).
I tried a lot of tricks in the CamSam application settings, in the rights manager (put all rights) and even in the batterrie (saver, no restrictions).
But nothing works, I still have the problem (it wouldn't be because of this double GPS chip thing, can we disable one on both to test?).
Have any of you ever had this kind of bp and if so, would you know what to do about it?
In advance thank you for your lights.
same problem on Redmi Note 8 with MIUI 11
Hi
This is a post directed to anyone who owns/has purchased their X50 5G from China as I am trying to confirm that they have the same issues with their phone as me, or whether my issues are specific to my phone, so thanks in advance!
I've run the phone from factory reset a few times as I've encountered a few problems or have noticed differences to what the user guide says to what the phone displays within the menus.
Most importantly (for me) is the fact that their is no Google Location History available. Even before adding an account, if I go to Additional settings > Google > Account services > Location > More Settings I get access to Emergency Location Services, Google Location Accuracy but Google Location History is greyed out and so cannot be tuned on when logged in, the device is not registered for location history.
Also, once Google Assistant is installed and set up, if the Home button is pressed for the allotted time, it may appear, but no voice recognition works, even when the app is selected as the default option. Also, I've noted that within the user guide and online, I've seen an option within the Convenience Aid (although on my phone its called Convenience Tools) menu called Awake Google Assistant, but my phone does not have that.
Maybe it's just that I haven't set the correct permissions as they are way more complicated than standard Android settings, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
In fact there seems to be a lot of differences between what the user guide says and what's actually on the phone.
I've also noticed that conference calls do not seen to work when I get two calls and try to merge.
Can anyone provide any useful comments to either say that they experience the same, or it works from stock, or how to resolve any of the above?
Cheers
I have this same phone same issues, plus you can't set google messages or any other messaging app as default, you can't remove there app market. And NO GOOGLE DISCOVER ON LEFT SWIPE SCREEN.

Wow, i might be opted for the same. This Chinese models or best to say it...Realme fails as a brand. It's their responsibility. It's pretty much obvious they sell stupid products. per se they have their own brand or the **** they care about global consumers..ad why they make it available outside their country.
Realme is a stupid brand nothing more. I'll try to sell this trash too.

Did you tried long press VOL- + Power button till power up ?
I just remembered there're some functions could recovery the phone over WiFi in the factory recovery mode.
BTW, In your case, I certainly unlocked my RMX2051 through In-depth test apk file for X50 Pro version.
If your don't mind, maybe you could post how did you recovery your phone in the future.
Good luck.
Hello Guys
I managed to enable 5G, VOLTE and call screening in Bahrain (Unsupported Country).
Follow the steps below to get these services.
1. Get rooted and install Magisk [Guide Link].
2. Download VOLTE module in magisk to have VOLTE after reboot [Guide Link].
You should have VOLTE now.
3. Download Network Signal Guru [App Link].
Give it Root access
Click The Three dots and choose Forcing Control
Choose [1]SIM 1 (it might be sim 2 for you, depending on which sim u using for mobile data)
Choose [3] NR MODE SETTINGS
Choose [4]SA+NSA
Reboot
You should have 5g now.
4. To get call screening, download and install Market Enabler [APP LINK]. and give it root access.
5. Enable VPN and set it to USA. I used VPN Master with the 7 days trial (Make sure to cancel subscription in Google Play so you dont get charged after the 7 days)
6. Open Market Enabler and select USA.
7. Make sure you have the latest version of the phone app, and join beta if possible.
8. Now while both VPN and Market Enabler is set to USA, clear cache from phone app
9. Open phone app and go settings and you should see Spam and Call Screen. if it didnt show .. just keep clear cache and try again till it show (I had to try multiple times till it worked).
Note: u wont have to have VPN on after this (One time step only), however whenever u reboot ur device or it turns off. Once the phone is ON make sure to do step 6 to not lose call screening.
thanks' a lot
i will try it at night
could you check your dm please? thank you
Does your network drop out, and shows no service for a while before resetting the value and returns to LTE?
These may be the most prominent features missing on Wildcard.
There are more however that need research:
1) LTE Carrier Aggregation is limited to only 2 carriers
2) LTE 256 qam upload is missing
3) ENDC NR CA doesnt seem to work (maybe?)
I've tried to crack the 1st point without any success - I presume the /vendor/firmware/carrierconfigs/confseqs "lte_ca_0.common" confseq file (the names are in the headers of the files) includes mnc specific combinations inside of it, so editing of it in some form is required.
You can do
Code:
for file in ./*;echo $file;strings -n5 $file;end
in the confseqs (or manifests) directory to see all the names in the headers.
These files luckily do not seem to be signed or encrypted, however they are binary blobs and hence unreadable. I see references to CLZ4 in the header of some of these files, however trying to unlz these files doesn't work, likewise binwalk and other tools detect nothing. Possibly compiled protobufs? Would need to trace through how these files get handled and by what service on the phone.
The second point is doable, /vendor/firmware/carrierconfigs/cfg.db is an sqlite database where carriers get their confseq files assigned. The quickest way to play around with replacing the Wildcard profile for the "unsupported countries" is to edit the regional_fallback table and country_code 0 for another carrier_id from the confnames table. The file can be replaced on the filesystem via creating a simple Magisk module zip. Some of these profiles do have 256 qam upload enabled in them, I used dk_telia (656) and it works fine. This also enabled DSS for 5G, something for which the 5G nvitem toggle in NSG didnt account for.
Third one seems to be active, atleast it reports ENDC NRCA combinations to the network via ue capability messages, however it does not seem to go active when network conditions are met. Hence I assume it is a case similar to the LTE CA one where NRCA would have to be enabled.
if there is no 5G in your country, then maybe there is no infrastructure for it, tuning your phone I dont think will fix that.
THX ALOT
Thanks a lot. This is helpful.
Could this work to enable Call Recording? If so, does anyone know the list of countries where call recording and screening are both supported?
Thank you for sharing

I tried these steps yesterday and it did not work for me. Anyone else with a similar issue and does anyone know why it isn't working?
In some Chinese videos of the X90 Pro+ the *#558#* Code gives an extensive service video on the X90Pro+ - however I only see the QCC menu and miss the full sercie menu. Any idea why this is missing. I switched my phone already to Chinese language but no dice either.
It should be:
Debbuggin port
OQC Test
Settings
Settings-->
Privacy
... several other points. which are missing for me. Things that are possible in this menu are largely possible using setedit tools/adb commands but look way more structured. E.g. there is a menu to enable 60/90/120/144hz max screen refresh rate.
Yes there are other codes that do enable stuff, like adding a 5G switcher or having a full 2G/3G/4G/5G much more detailed menu. All need to be entered on the vivo phone app by the way, not possible to use those codes inside google caller if you replaced the vivo caller for better spam protetion in google caller.
Okay - maybe needs Vivo Factory test App 1.5 which is not installing for me from apkmirror -

Hi there,
have you launched it already? Is this App running well? Didn't Vivo kick it out?
No didn't manage to run it but the Chinese did, the clearly use it on the x90 pro +, I guess they have a modified version so need to register on that Chinese site first before being able to download it
have you already checked this link which was kindly provided? I got the App easily, but it was kicked by Vivo out when I tried to start it.
