I am looking for a QI receiver that works decently well.
I have the generic one now, with a circle, it seems most of the sellers have something very similar.
Looking to see if anyone has been able to find a better one as this one has these issues:
it is a bit thick, definitely not the 0.16mm some listings are claiming, it probably exceeds 1mm in some places
it makes an audible noise, like tick-tick, this is the most annoying part
it doesn't charge too fast, sometimes not at all
sometimes gets hot, making the entire phone hot
the "cord" is a bit longer than needed
the plug sticks out the bottom by a bit more than the actual case
I saw there's one from Nilkin available, I will order it in order to test it, but I expect it to have the same issues. At least it solves one, as it has a "short" version as well.
How did you go with the other receiver?

I just ordered the Van Gogh, Starry Night for my diamond, but there seems to be over 100 types for diamond alone..
The search here returned nothing, so I'm asking, has anyone got it? If so, how is it? What's the feel of it? Does it glide easily on your hand?

recieved mine today; still not mounted.. will make photos when done.. the stickers are already flat, so you can mount it on a xda or mda as well.. only the edges are cut to fit the diamond back.case, but that won't matter too much i think.
I was looking for SOME kind of belt case for my Streak (until real accessories are available) and I found this one at Target.
I ripped out the clear DS slip cover from the inside and put a few drops of gorilla glue about 2 inches down the side (the long side) of the zipper to keep it from opening too far... just so it is used as a slip case.
When clipping it to my belt loop via the caribiner it just looks like a "tool case"... It isn't the best, but for $10 it will do until something better comes along

Very innovative, some good information to know. Unfortunatley though everyone will think you are a ds junkie.
Has anyone done a custom skin for their incredible from Gelaskins.com. I recently got a groupon deal for $30 in Gift cards for $5 so I'm going to go the custom route and upload images to try to make a really nice skin image that matches the contours of the phone. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this.

I did, it was a nice little (somewhat) protective addition.
Likewise, though a fair bit of warning: they cover the light/proximity sensor. You'll have to carefully cut out a small square with an exacto knife to regain that bit of functionality.

I also made a sweet dock over last weekend I'll show off. Very easy to make.
Just bought one for the IncS & now looking at some other cases I notice they have extra holes for the ones on the phone while the Seidio cases doesn't. Does anyone know if these holes serve some purpose that they should not be covered?

I never even notice those wholes. I have a case that covers them and I never really had a problem. Although I find that if I have a week wifi signal and I take of the case it improuves a little bit.... but that might be in my head heheheh
remove the back cover, you can just see these holes correspond to the gps, radio module,
I guess these holes should be improved for the signal role of some..

I think the metal bar is the speaker cone and it's mounted on something rubber/plastic that flexes. There could be a voice coil type thing in there or it could be piezo- electric like those annoying little beepers.
Those look like blocked. Are you sure are not fake?
I don't think so. Most cell phones seem to have them, some have tiny holes in them.
I suppose I could try a stethoscope on them, or make something like it with a microphone and headphones. By a weird fluke I have a real medical stethoscope in the other room. Mechanics use them too.
