How To Solve Find Device Storage Corrupted & Couldn't Add Fingerprint -Redmi Note 4X
Hello Everyone,
** I am writing my problem in details if that help you to diagnose my problem, and sorry if my English is not good enough..
I Purchased Redmi Note 4X around two weeks ago. Unfortunately, my device got stolen one week ago, and with the help of MI Cloud, I was able to get it back.
After getting back my phone, I found my device was flashed or reset and locked with MI cloud locker.
Then I flashed my device again with MI PC Suit and Disabled my device on MI cloud.
Since then, I found everything is working fine except following two problems.
Problem One: I am unable to add my fingerprint. Whenever I try to add one I receive following message: "couldn't add Fingerprint, try again." It should be noted here that when I try to add it, I feel 11 vibrations on my phone and see a progress of fingerprint add-on device. The message appears at 12 steps.
Problem Two: I am also getting Following Error message "find device storage corrupted your device is unsafe now error" whenever I try to locate my device through MI cloud > Find Device > Locate Device.
To Solve these problems, I tried following methods But Didn't Work for Me.
1. I made a Factory reset. (Hard & Soft)- Didn't work.
2. I updated Latest Stable Global Rom (System Update Method) - Didn't work.
3. I installed Latest Developer Global Rom ( First Boot Method) - Didn't work.
4. Cleared Wipe Cache Data, Wipe Reset in Xiaomi MIUI 8 through Mi recovery settings. - Didn't work.
** I am from Bangladesh. This device is officially not available here, So no hope for official warranty or support. You guys are my last hope. So please help me.
Any kind of help to resolve the problems will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards
Bhai same problem help me too.. Plz
Install TWRP from this link, when it asking password, press CANCEL.
Then wipe DATA, that's your factory reset
I have same problem .... Would u get any solution ?? If yes then tell me ...plz
Bro Just Unlocked bootloader .
And Flash Twrp .
And Use any custom rom
Your fingerprint will work fine .
All sensor to......
as long as the bootloader is unlocked, those features are disabled and/or you get those error messages. Reason is that the fingerprint has to be saved somewhere. Unlocking the bootloader gives people access to that storage (after all, you can get root access). The device is "unsafe" because of the unlocked state. Go to settings -> additional settings and look if the developer settings are available. There you can check if your device is unlocked.
I have installed miui 9 custom room I my lava pixel V2 and after few days my phone start rebooting it self when download a gamer or other help need
I have the same problem not able to use wifi on my redmi 4x even i have tried fastboot rom flash but not working on custom rom its working fine i dont know why.
Hi,
How to solve the adding device problem like I just said in tittle ?
same happened with me today on note 7
same happened with me today on redmi 4x
same happened with me today on note 7
me2 on pocophone f1 ... this happens, when i try to add the device to my mi account to enable unlocking the bootloader.
does anybody know, how the registration is done? do they try to send sms or something to another country or anything like this, which is probably forbidden?
i'm on miui 9.6 with android 8.1 and almost no settings changed.
i updated to latest miui 10.3.5 with android 9. i used a different mi account (directly registered to my phone number) and allowed every permission request. nothing changed.
The same problem
I have the same issue on my poco f1 global version. I'm from spain. Error code 10000... I bought the phone yesterday and cant found info about this. Seems to be a recient problem with Xiaomi server I think. This happend no miui 9 and new miui 10.0.4.
There are also other people getting this error:
https://c.mi.com/thread-2285993-1-0.html
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/cb28oc/error_10000_cant_associate_phone_and_mi_account/

They give me 186 hr waiting time on mi unlock don't Know why
Problem Solved
This morning I tryed to conect and it works. Now have to wait 72h.
@b00dymoon: you have a note 7, not a pocophone f1. the 72h limit is just for the pocophone, afaik: https://www.androidauthority.com/xiaomi-pocophone-f1-bootloader-unlock-902114/
Disable find device, this solved my problem and linked the account to my device, now i'm waiting for the 72h to pass ..
Hello there!
Redmi Note 9 (Merlin)
After some operations to install TWRP, i somehow accidentaly "bricked" it. Decided to flash it via SPFlashTools with auth bypass. But unfortunately due to power leakage my PC switched off during flashing. Now i see that my phone can`t be recognised. In Device Manager i see "Unknown Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" and phone doesnt even react on any button pressing. I even dont know if it working or not.
Sorry for my broken English, i am from Ukraine -(
Thanks a lot for your further assistance to fix my problem with phone
It looks like it's a harder brick. Send it back where you bought it from if they're authorized to repair your device. MediaTek chipset devices are easy to brick and harder to recover.
My K20 Pro is stuck in bootloop, can't enable developer options due to that. And, sometimes it turns on but shows in virtual button for few seconds and re-starts.
Please help

Your device is most likely permanently bricked
Bricked Redmi K20 Pro, stuck in Recovery Bootloop
After trying all kinds of roms from here, I decided to go back to basics and flash a global stable ROM. In the Mi Flash software I forgot to check the "Clean All" button, and left the default(I don't know why this is the default) "Clean All and...

Don't know what did you do, but now you will probably need somebody with authorized EDL account (and to pay him) or you will need to use the firehose file and method
In both cases you need to search on XDA about. Here and there people hard brick their Xiaomi phones and you can find posts about. In any case I can't help you, never bricked my phone
Paying support is prohibited on XDA, hence you will better need to seek for authorized EDL accounts on Telegram and similar groups
Hi,
I have a Redmi Note 11 (21121119SC).
It came in the original packaging with "Redmi Note 11" clearly printed on the box, and model 21121119SC.
It came as a global version with MIUI 13, and a (Chinese-language) redmi 5.0 recovery.
It had an unlocked bootloader.
Fastboot getvar product identified it as 'selene' (NOT selenec, NOT selenes, NOT a spes/spesn).
Internet wisdom suggested that it was compatible with a Redmi 10 Prime or Redmi 10 2022.
(MTK Helios G88)
However, in flashing Redmi 10 it has become a brick - no recovery, no fastboot, no bootloop - just black-screen.
It does seem to respond to UART connection (vol- on connect) and responds to MTKbypass (protection off).
But SPFlashtool fails to download anything to it - giving an SPFT error STATUS_ERR (0xC0010001).
Can someone please help me unbrick this device please?
Note that I seem to need a very specific firmware package for a selene global 21121119SC model.
There are forum threads for Redmi 10 selene and Redmi 11 spes/spesn, but none for Redmi Note 11 selene.
Has nobody enountered this kind of weird hybrid device yet?
Help appreciated.
Thanks.

The selene is the original Redmi 10 from 2021. I had this phone. It has a Mediatek processor so there is no XDA on it. (no ROMming)

Ok thanks for clarifying what to look for.
So how can I recover this phone to working order?
Do I need the Remi 10 firmware from here:
Download Redmi 10 / 10 Prime Firmware ROM TWRP (selene)
Xiaomi Redmi 10 / 10 Prime Firmware (selene) ⭐ Redmi 10 / 10 Prime ROM ⭐ Redmi 10 / 10 Prime Global ROM - EU ROM - TWRP - Fastboot ROM
mifirm.net
I tried this global version via SPflashtool/UART but it fails with an error.
Do I use the chinese version? Will that relock the bootloader? Do I use a different tool or different ROM pack?

The 21121119SC appears to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 4G released in 2021 according to the gsmarena website, not to be confused with the RN11 spes Global (mine) or China versions. Yours appears to be a rebranded Redmi 10 since it shows LCD and Mediatek (i.e. no ROMming) instead of AMOLED and Snapdragon of my RN11. The com website for xiaomifirmwareupdater shows the ROM versions for "Redmi Note 11 4G/Redmi 10 2022 (selenes)", but your fastboot response of selene is confusing. It might be a hard brick now without your access to recovery or fastboot.
Thanks very much! I got my phone unbricked, using Windows 10 and this info above.
I never thought that would happen!
For those that follow, the recipe was something like this:
--
Best case if:
Bootloader unlocked
Developer mode
USB debugging enabled
Verify apps over USB disabled (just in case)
Prep the tools:
Install MTK USB drivers
Install Xiaomi USB drivers
Install MTKbypass
(needs python 3.9+ from Microsoft Store plus pyusb etc)
Ensure python is in the path and perms allow pip installs
Get latest SPFlashTool
I used SP_Flash_tool_v5.2216_Win, but anything with an MTK DA that recognises a MT6768 should work
Get the latest MIUI Official ROM packages from here:
Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
Eg. V13.0.4.0.SKUMIXM for Redmi 10/Redmi 10 2022/Redmi Prime (selene)
'S' = Android 13
'KU' = Redmi Note 11 / Redmi 10 selene device
'MI' = Global version
Unpack the ROM package to a folder so it is ready to go.
Notes:
My phone was properly bricked (black-screen), no fastboot, no recovery.
So I had to use a 'UART mode' approach.
But nothing worked and SPFlashTool was failing with all kinds of errors until I found a comment by someone on XDA that said "in Windows, connect SPFlashTool as USB mode" (not COM serial mode).
Steps:
Run MTKbypass (ie. 'python main.py') to make it look for a new device
Hold Vol-down while connecting phone to USB port
MTKbypass should say protection disabled. If not, try and try again.
Without disconnecting the phone, now run SP Flash Tool.
Under Options menu, choose 'Option' and 'Connection', and set USB mode.
Auto-detect didn't work for me, so I also chose 'w/o battery'.
Go to the Download tab.
Check that the Download Agent loads the MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin from your latest SPFlashTool.
Choose the scatter file from the ROM package.
Choose the auth file from the ROM package.
Select 'Download Only' in the dropdown.
Press the 'Download' button, and hope it works.
Progress should be down in the progress meter and end in a green circle of success.

This worked for me, based on comments and direction from Sheist and chaosmaster. I hope it works for you.

Had the same problem after many flashing attempts with multiple Roms.
Fix
remove the back plastic cover
Disconnect the battery ribbon cable.
Then reconnect it
Device started operation as expected and I could flash any ROM with ease
