Hi
I just purchased a mi 11 12/256 china version, bootloader unlocked, flashed with eu ROM 12.5.7 stable.
I am looking for any custom ROMs available but not finding anything. Specifically looking for a fully de-googled ROM. I have checked and /e/, calyx, graphene, Lineage, and many others and not found any compatible for this device. Anyone know of any? Possibly prereooted ROMs I can remove google myself?
I'm new to customizing phones so thanks
at moment we dont have proper custom rom . some of us use GSI until we have custom rom .
There is AOSP rom, android 12 beta from google... working nice
This phone is couple months old, still no custom ROM, weird.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro has tons of custom roms already.

Yes but the Note 10 Pro is much more affordable. So, more people have the device. Also developers need to be able to be able to buy the device themselves.
yeah i actually sold my oppo x2 pro and bought the Mi11 cause i assumed like the mi8, mi9 and mi10 that a lot of custom roms would be available.. we are not off to a good start!! at least it has root

Hello all.
I just received my mi9 and I don't like at all this stock MIUI rom.
First thing, where can I see if I have the EEA, or global ROM ?
And secondly, after unlocking my device and flashing twrp, what rom could be the best ? Maybe xiaomi.eu, revolutionOS, flokoRom ?
No AOSP based ROM at the moment ( I would love to flash an AOSP based ROM , like my good old One plus 3 )
And battery life is just horrible in stock ROM..

Just a quick question? Which stock rom you are you on? MIUI have several versions of stock just in a few months.....

You could try GSI roms, but they are not stable enough for me right now.
Im now on ROS. With magisk and lawnchair it's running great and feels a lil bit like aosp. Better than stock

You should read the FAQ and forum before asking such questions, as a senior member you should know that
Anyways, unlocking usually requires a 15 day waiting / grace-period, so I'd start doing that now and you'll have another two weeks to read all the ROM/flash/root topics here.
Please post if anyone have it

That's a good news. Phone is good, but os is so bad, seems like my old ZTE axon 7, sep-2016 ~ jun-2019, finally I recycled to $35. Finally there just be few ROMs. I hope k20 pro don't encounter the same thing:crying:

There are a lot of very talented devs from India here on xda, so hopefully many of the POCO F1 devs will buy this phone and move their excellent work to this.
Mine has finally arrived and so far it's great, have removed as much bloat as I can and just waiting for the 7 days to finish when I can get the EU ROM on at least. Personally I would like to see official LOS on my phone.

LOS is simple and powerful, this is faith. I've just unlocked my phone days ago, EU ROM has some issues till now.

Talk about the issues, I've given up with EU ROM. I just fastboot flashed Android Q beta several hours ago, at least, it's pure Android experience.

It's something I'm considering trying. Do you know which release it is? Is it the beta 3 or beta 4 release? The official Xiaomi page doesn't give much info.
Was you using EU stable or development ROM?

No.
This from the Xiaomi android q beta webpage
Redmi K20 Pro:
1. Does not support fingerprint module.
2. “Settings” app crashes after user selects “App & Notifications” and shows a notification that says “Settings keeps stopping”
3. Unable to switch between multiple users.
4. There might be instances where videos downloaded from the Google Drive does not show length of video in the photo gallery.
5. Bluetooth search might not work for some specific keyboards. A known failed case is Logitech’s k380 keyboard.

I was using EU development ROM when I meet random reboot issues, I think I should try EU stable later or next release.
Will official global ROM still get OTA if flashed on K20 Pro?

Yes, I found it on MIUI official site, but after days using, it's really not good at all. Please do not flash that ROM as daily ROM. If you like AOSP, check phh's thread, I will try it 3 days later when I unlock my phone.
I have a Mi 11 and I want to replace MIUI 12 with something else because it performs really bad on rhythm games like BangDream and Project Sekai (lag, stutter, FPS drop).
I'm interested in the LineageOS PixelExperience ROMs. However, they only have released ROMs for the Mi 8 and Mi 10 but not Mi 11.
Once I have TWRP on my Mi 11, can I install one of the ROMs that was made for the Mi 8 or Mi 10?
If I can, will there be any issues?
Are you serious?

Yes, I'm really tired of MIUI lag and stutter on rhythm games. I've put up with it on Redmi Note 3 and on the Mi 8 for years. I finally upgraded to Mi 11 thinking that even with MIUI's bad performance on rhythm games, the Snapdragon 888 would be enough to run the games without FPS drop and stutter but that wasn't the case.
So yeah, at this point I'm willing to try anything if it means I can use something that is not MIUI.
I dont know if phones are like PCs. I've installed Linux, Windows, and even MacOS on the same PC I built with custom hardware so I dont yet know of a reason why this wouldn't work with phones.
Do you have a reason to believe it won't work? What's so unique about a Mi 8 ROM compared to a Mi 11 ROM?

Install a custom ROM like Lineage & PixelExperience or waiting MIUI 13.... YES
But actually there no custom roms AOSP available and MIUI 13 is scheduled for october.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know MIUI 13 was coming so soon. When MIUI 13 is released, will there be custom ROMs available for the Mi 11?
or why did you say to wait until MIUI 13 is released?

MIUI 13 deserve to waiting because he will based on Android 12. And for custom roms, just wait, device is not old and less expensive... so maybe some builder/modder will working on. LineageOS is bootable from few days, so if an AOSP base is available, with TWRP recovery in addition, a lot of ROMS should be available in the next months

It's only a GSI (Generic System Image) of Pixel Experience. Really it's full of bugs for the moment xD
It's because still new? or the Developers look at the user is still too few?
Anybody could answer this? Thank you
There's custom ROMs coming, hopefully soon.
There's a few factors for why none is out now but main reason is that the device is still pretty new and has official Android 12 coming which would cause a lot of additional work to do if the ROM developer started with Android 11.

On one hand it looks like EEA has finally catched up with most of the missing features from Xiaomi.eu/China(see PS) and you're also getting Android 13, easy OTAs, ability to lock the bootloader and a whole bunch of optimization and new features from MIUI 14. And a bigger support community since it's the official ROM after all. And access to even more BETAs since Xiaomi.eu doesn't do betas on this device
On the other hand, all of this will come to xiaomi.eu when the stable's out anyway. And it will probably be even better than stock. And there still might be a few missing Chinese features that will never be added to EEA/Global.
It's really mixed for me tbh. What do you guys think ? What are you going to do ?
PS: I know there's no China ROM for 11T Pro, but Xiaomi.eu actually ports Chinese features even without the Chinese ROM.

Better time to stay on the Xiaomi EU rom and keep the advantages that do not exist on the stock (call recorder, Full themes, etc.).
On a stock beta version you can have bugs, sometimes not too serious or sometimes you will have to downgrade.
When it comes to stock ROM support, you will only get answers if you want to buy a new phone.
I had the 11 t pro but disappointed with the autonomy and I replaced it with a 12 pro which initially had less autonomy than the 11 t pro with A12 but A13 corrected this problem.

I'm getting around 6h SOT on my device...which I also think it's kinda mediocre. What about you ?
What if A13 fixes battery on 11T Pro as well.
AS for tech support, I guess the stock has a bigger community where I can find the issues easier. But the xiaomi.eu community is much nerdier, so it depends lol

My SOT is never the same, what I see is that since A13 I charge my phone less often and I've gone from 24 hours to 30/36 hours.
Many report the improvement in autonomy with A13.
"AS for tech support, I guess the stock has a bigger community where I can find the issues easier. But the xiaomi.eu community is much nerdier, so it depends lol"
On Xiaomi Eu rom you have to be precise and make a logcat for bugs.
Yes, but I'm getting older and contrary to most of this community, I don't like tinkering with my device that much anymore. I see that MIUI 14 introduces most of the features that I loved from xiaomi.eu and I'd love the comfort of OTAs, safety and no headaches due to having an unlocked bootloader and just generally, the ease of use of a stock device with no sort of tinkering whatsoever. And just easier back-ups. Also, I'd like having beta access to Xiaomi since xiaomi.eu has none for my device
Now, I'm wondering if flashing using the official xiaomi tool will just lock bootloader and fix/restore everything to stock.

Betas will still be based on the Global.
Betas are test roms to finalize the global stable.

Hi, I had quite a nooby question, I have an Indian variant of 11T Pro which is running on its latest Indian variant of MIUI, can I relock my bootloader during flashing of EEA variant of MIUI or will that brick my device? On this device (VILI) you can re-lock the bootloader with any stock fastboot rom with Miflash.
