Trying to follow this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/unlock-root-twrp-unbrick-downgrade-fire-7-ford-and-austin.3899860 to install another OS on my fire 7 austin. From what I can tell, you have to short a pin called VDD1. Where exactly is it? I've looked at all the pics, and I can only see one, which I think is the CMD pin. Can anybody help?

I hope that this is the correct section.... If I mod the newest Kindle Fire 7" with some Android 5.1+ ( I don't know exactly what is available), can I use Google Now with the setting "when the phone is charging" or something like that?

just got my fire hd10 and have everything set up almost completely how I want it.
I'm having an issue syncing the chrome browser to an account. When I try to sync, it says "Could not connect to the sync server"
Anyone know why this might be happening?
Has anyone else had this and if so how did you fix it?

As stated in the title. When I send a push to my Fire it doesnt appear in the notifications. I need to open the pushbullet app, and then I get the notification, which is really annoying. Any way to fix this?

How can I print a return label directly from the Amazon App? I was able to on my Note 8 but doesn't work on my new Note 9.
Do you mean printing or scanning?
Have you got the resolution set to 1080p? If so try 1440 and then it should work.

Printing. When I select print return label directly from the app it does nothing, it takes me out of the return label page and back to my cart.
I have to go to the desktop web page for Amazon and it prints fine. It used to work fine on my Note 8 which is why I'm stumped.
Is there a printer plug in that I need to install on my phone possibly?

Did you ever figure out what the issue was? I'm having the same issue and I can't figure out why. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. I have my printer plug-in bj's can print but not in Amazon app. It used to, but now stopped.

I never did figure it out. I have to go to the Amazon desktop site on Chrome and then I can print. Very weird...and annoying.

Thanks! I have uninstalled apps, stopped and cleared data in print spoolers. aside from doing a complete wipe and reinstall, I'm at a loss too.. If I figure it out, I'll reply back. It seems to work on my wife's phone (same model-Samsung Galaxy Note 10 +). I'll try running it in safe mode and see if I can get it to print.

I figured it out!
Go to your Amazon app, in settings. Click on DEFAULT..
Then go to "Go to supported URLs" Change it from "in this app" to either "in other app" or "always ask" I chose "in other app" then I tested it and it worked. I then put it back to the default "in this app" and it was still working!

So I updated to the beta and the pixel launcher kept crashing (couldn't even swipe or open app without the screen turning black and pixel launcher crashing) after the install until my phone kept restarting and said I needed a factory reset.
I factory reset the phone but when I go to set up the phone again after entering my wifi info the next screen asks me to "Copy apps & data"
if I hit next it asks me to connect my old phone, which I don't have an old phone. When I select "Can't use my old phone" a message pops up saying that I can restore data without my old phone by signing in with my account. I hit ok and it asks me to verify my pin? I factory reset the phone, why would it ask for that?? ANyway I enter my pin and and I'm back to the Copy apps & data screen.
Only other option is "Don't Copy". If I hit that It puts me in an infinite loop of verifying my pin, then back to the Copy apps & data screen.
Any help would be much appreciate, totally lost. Knew I should've not installed the beta :'(
I also have the same problem. I have the padlock icon in the top left side of the notifications area. I believe this means the phone is locked. I can not seem to be able to unlock the phone, even they it accepts my unlock code.
Did a quick Google search and found this on Reddit. It is a post of someone having a similar issue to what you're experiencing. There seems to be a comment with a fix in there as well with instructions on what to do but I am not sure if it works but if you wanted to check it out here is the link to the post as well as a link to the comment with the fix.

That is exactly what mine is doing. I can't go back and it is such in the transfer data screens. I also didn't enable developer options and USB debugging. So I guess wait for someone to post the upgrade file online
