About Dirty Unicorn ROM:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop and Marshmallow, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket.
Why this Kernel?
There are many popular kernels out there which are made for this sprout devices but why this? This kernel has beaded other kernels with high score. This kernel is too smooth and can perform very well in all aspects. Where as Android One Devices support only 1700mah battery which is too weak in present world but DirtyUnicorn is most famous for this battery life and in a short way this is your life saver.

Didn't test it! Take a boot backup or full back and flash and give it a try but make sure its on 6.0.1

Sir in 2days I will add the battery stats. But u wanted to know as per me. I have competed making this kernel like at 12:30pm I was at 50% at 8:56pm now 15% battery (regual usage) so I will even add updates on heavy usage and regual usage. Till then enjoy sir.

It's just same as other kernels. Adjustments in ThunderZap kernal is giving me more battery juice than your kernal. Sorry but its an honest review from what I felt.
One more thing you earlier said that custom kernals are meant for custom roms only. Sorry bro, but that isn't the case with every custom kernal. I use ThunderZap in stock mm everyday. Didn't know if your kernal is compatible with stock, I flashed it over cm 13.

As per me I had more battery life on DU without any other custom kernel so I wanted every body to enjoy it. And in other way TZ5.2 also says that it provides for CM12.1/CM13 but its working on stock great news. They have tested on CM12.2/CM13 so the TZ team mentions CM12.1/CM13.

So, Does this kernel is compatible for STOCK MM? Please be specific
You said Custom Kernel are meant for Custom Roms. But, TZ, Thug, Zeus are custom kernel but it's compatible for stock.

Well, i want to try it on stock. Already have a backup, but if something went wrong, the kernel shouldn't be flashed on stock, it could be hard bricked or maybe, just a bootloop, right?
EDIT_1 : Well it's works on stock, but i'm not surely 100% maybe it could be wrong. I'll use it for 1-3 days maybe..

Umm when i'm charging, there is like a battery saver for fast charge. It said DU fast charge, how can i disable it? it's annoying everytime i want to unlock my phone.

Thread cleaned and moved to General, as this is shared work created by others.

1. Screen On Time : 8 hours with 7% still remaining. Other AOSP or CM13 based ROMs gave me 6 or 7 hours with 2% remaining.
2. I use LTE 24/7, no WiFi, no Bluetooth.
3. Speed is very satisfying. It doesn't get laggy after a few days. Some other CM13 based ROMs become slow after some apps installed.
4. Stability : Very stable. Never had random reboot.
5. No 2% battery bug.
6. If the phone is switched off, and you plug the USB charger in, there is a beautiful (& useful) animation to tell you the charging percentage.
7. Multitasking is snappy. What do you expect? This is AOSP.
8. I use ARISE Sound System + Radon Kernel v2. 2. The sound is unbelievable. I use AUX a lot to fire my tunes to my car stereo and it has never sound better!
9. The new & improved CyanogenMod Theme Engine (CMTE) is very nice.
10. I dont use my Kenzo for voice-calling so dont ask.
11. I dont know anything about VoLTE. pls dont ask.

I used this for three days its awesome but has a bug ,, if I reboot anytime I loose my second sim signals and its a headache to get it back again

Losing second sim signals is related to firmware
Try diff firmware versions available, you might get lucky with no issues with one

did you already flash nx radio filles? my experience near similar with you at 1st hour after flashing this rom, then I try to flash NX radio and the problem solved and the signals getting stable. anyway, my 2nd sim will take a bit longer to stabilize the signals (around 30s - 1 minutes).

how come it looks like CM based more than AOSP?
It said it has all CM stable features supported.
And the SIM control has exactly the same limitation as CM.
** You cannot disable a SIM slot in CM **
And live display only exist in CM

Same problem here brother in every cm based rom now and its cause since i flashed CM 13 firmware coz if i could not flash this firmware so i cant able to put a fingerprint lock ... Pls give me solution guys..

This is falsely labeled it's not an AOSP rom it's an CM based ROM as it has CM features

you may not wipe system. else it may show 'failed to mount /system' error.

yep....i am sure that was correct file.Evry thing is working fine except volte .And the lag in quick setting was for the theme i installed....i guess.

if u want to wipe system..then after wiping system again reboot to recovery and flash the rom.

how is this a stupid question, every rom has its own kernel tweaks or whatever optimization you call, just want to hear user's feedback for battery life on this rom. I don't have the spare time to flash and setup everything to discover bugs myself and then only realize the battery life is terrible 3 hours SOT.

Asking for battery life on O roms for Mi Max at this stage of development is stupid... That's is not even a concern right now till we get all hardware working and O roms are suitable for full daily usage.
I don't even get why O roms are posted at all as they are not even ready for testing yet IMO.

Battery life is awesome!!!!
I personally checked it, before some days and yesterday also.
Very less battery is consuming...
Only except said bugs, everything is working and fine according to my knowledge

But, its stable.
Except said bugs, everything is stable so much.
Battery backup is also very good.
For h/w: camera isn't working only.
Hotspot doesn't work in hydrogen, but, work in helium!
VoLTE sometimes working while sending/receiving SMS.
I didn't upload it. But, the famous developers like you are silent, so, users pinched me so much, then i uploaded it

I tested it and it is very stable thankyou developer

Hi bro I installed the room and gapps but after reboot it says Bluetooth keeps stopping and automatically reboots to lineage os animation I tried doing everything like wipe no gapps and more but I failed can you suggest what to do btw I have came from miui 7

Fresh install is good but you can dirty flash not worry..

Maybe something problem just try again with fresh Installing Rom, if still same then install another working Rom & get back to install this one with data partition format.

No bro it doesn't work tried everything when I installed it and reboot and when the setup wizard appears it reboots in 1-2 seconds should I flash miui 10 first before flashing it ?

Hmm okay try to install miui10 fresh Rom & setup everything next fresh install rom without gapps & without changed anything,, let me know what happen..,

Yeah I was also encountered this problem upgrade to miui 10 used orange fox recovery and it worked

If anyone is on Android 5.1 pls flash Android 6 miui 10 firmware

My experience of using this rom like about 2.5 hourr
Games are very stable this rom doesn't even feel that it's a custom rom everything feels like miui
Battery backup is pretty good I was having 56 percent and after few hours it's 42 percent
The UI won't lag at all I was expecting bugs in UI but it's smooth like butter
Ram manegement is a bit than miui but it doesn't affect its performance
Games like Minecraft gives 49-54 fps which is good in term of the specs of this phone
Overall conclusion is that this rom is very stable than the Android 11 and miui so don't think just install it

Hello brother..
Can you help me test if the game Ace Fishing (https://play.google.com/store/apps/....normal.freefull.google.global.android.common) runs normally on this Rom? On most custom ROM this game would just force close when launched.
U don't need to download any additional data, just install and launch it and see whether if force close or not.

Ok I will try , I tried and there is no force close as said this rom is stable u can get a fc when running many apps in background
One thing I spotted is the lag in scoll of play store and YouTube which was also in miui I think that the cause of this is a old snapdragon 650 or if it is fixable pls suggest
