The maintainer of that official version is not maintaining the rom. So a clean flash over that rom is a good choice.

I think the othet PE rom (vCAF?) also require latest firmware.

Cheers for info, Already installed PE, it's working fine, was just curious where to check firmware edition.
I guess if I flashed firmware I would have to install PE again?

I post required firmware because I use it, I don't add any check for the firmware so it can working with every firmware but the best is use the latest global stable firmware for stability (for this I don't choose to use a CAF edition).

In another thread someone made a file with only the firmware file extracted from miui 10.3.6, so you can flash it without losing your system and data partitions. It should be in the old official pe thread that now is closed, bit maybe the link is available

Does the rom pass safetynet & playstore certified? Can someone confirm?
Its not a big deal actually. But, that would be perfect if it does. Make things easier if we wanted to use banking apps, netflix etc without magisk props.
+ i hope there's Hal3 Switcher preinstalled ?

Download the Build you want to flash, there are two variants(GAPPS AND VANILLA)
Place ROM.zip , Gapp , TWRP installer.zip & OOS 10 OTA.zip in OTG​
Boot to TWRP​
If you are in A slot Flashing will go B if you are in B slot Flashing will go A (Keep in mind)​
Now connect OTG, press install select storage and Flash OOS 10 OTA.zip _ And see in which slot it is flashing​
Now install TWRP Installer .zip​
Reboot to TWRP from TWRP_ Now your slot must be changed​

Guys, Z and I are working together on this ROM at this time, I will compile a microg version as well, for now it looks like only vanilla has been uploaded. We will have to add another link for gapps build I think.

Use Nikgapps omni from 25/10

I absolutely love the design of this ROM!
but 1 complaint I have is, maybe it's just my device, but the battery life doesn't seem to good.

Might go back to lineage kernel in the next update, we'll have to see. But you should check your setup for better battery life would be best. It's doubtful the rom is at fault there. Give it some time maybe?

you mean VANILLA and GAPPS? vanilla is pure ROM without gapps included, so if you flash that, you must also flash gapps if you want playstore from google to use... gapps version have included playstore in ROM (and maybe some other google apps)

it's a great rom. smooth, feature rich and battery efficient

for me there was no problems while installation this ROM via Orange Fox

After second cycle the ROM now also shows days for estimated BB
BB is really good... i am a light user and after about 30 hrs of use the phone is gone from 100 to 79 %

1) 101 % stability for me
2) you'll never have on custom ROM the same or better SOT as stock MIUI, because no custom ROM has that aggressive battery optimization as MIUI has
3) not running OctaviOS ATM, but I'm sure on telegram you can find some screenshots

Excellent job! Very smooth and beautiful Rom, but, was wondering as to why the pattern password can't be setup. It allows me to only draw the pattern once and won't allow to reconfirm the password. Am I the only one who's facing this issue?

Don't have to adjust colour calibration manually. Other options have not found any changes.To change the dark theme not seen in the settings in Display.

Clean Flash:
Download the latest build and GApps
Reboot to recovery
Make nandroid backup (Not Necessary)
Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik
Flash the latest build
Flash Gapps (if using Vanilla build)
Format Data (only when flashing Gapps)
Reboot
Dirty flash:
Download the latest build
Reboot to recovery
Flash the latest build
Wipe Cache
Reboot
WARNING: Flash Magisk after first boot!
Note: GApps only has to be flashed once whereas Magisk is to be flashed every time you Dirty Flash the OTA Update.

Only bug is not working Device Settings in this version, but I released other builds with working XiaomiParts (https://github.com/ririxidev/dotOS/releases/tag/v5.1.2-beta).
Recovery depends on you, but OrangeFox is recommended.

No from what I know. In next build there will be google camera port included by default.

Thanks, dirty flashed and working without issues. Did you say this version allows photos to be saved to SD card by default?

GCam doesn't have option to save stuff to SD since Pixels don't have SD card slot. You can use GCamTool from gplay

DotOS is quite good, i´m not missing anything.
Perhaps I´ve found a bug with Airpods.
On an incoming call, the ringtone with connected Airpods only works for a fraction of a second, then it stops.
Everything else is fine like audio, calls, gestures.
It works on havocOS and also with my iPad.

It doesn't happen only with AirPods. It happens whatever Bluetooth device you have paired and it happens in many ROMs. Not only on DotOS.

Are you planning to go to version 5.2? It seems like it hasn't been updated for a while.

In the DotOS website, it says there is no maintainer anymore... Did you stop working on this device just today?

Please Don't abandon and discontinue this device.
I beg you to please support this device officialy.
I love this rom so much, I recommend it to everyone who looks for a custom rom, and now it just discontinued my own primary device.
Please I beg you Please continue the development for this device.
