Hello. I'm just a newbie on android system. I get my sgs yesterday. My friend bought it for me from Austria(he lives there) and i will use it in Turkey. When i used my sim card in there is sim lock request so i need to unlock sim.
Firstly i tried to upgrade firmware. I thinked that may surpass simlock part but it didn't work. I installed 3br update before it but after the firmware change 3br didnt run because of 2.1 update file. I installed couple of programs to easy root but now my sgs is messed up and there is no android market now. Only thing i want an updated and working phone with some applications :/. I know that there are my answers in forum because there is lots of good information about sgs but my phone is now messed up and i need to fix it step by step with some help.
I really need some help. Thank you.
Hi All,
Something really strange just happen with my GT-I9295.
So I got the 4.2.2 version from the box. I recived an automatic upgrade which I have accepted and installed. But strangly after installation the version still 4.2.2. One week later the IMEI number just disapeard durring the night and cannot recover it anymore.
Network
Unknown
IMEI
Unknown
I didn't installed any custom ROMs, nothing.
I found that the IMEI number should be in EFS folder after factory data reset, but this file is missing there.
I have my IMEI under the back-cover, but how I can re-enter it in my phone ?
I heard the param.bin for gti9295 could help ? Could somone drop it here ?
I bought the phone 2 weeks ago
When I tried to repair it I have root it. How I can check my KNOX counter to see if I can send it back to Samsung ?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english!

If you applied the rom. It means its kernel or rom is not compatible.. Flash something else. Or a new kernel..... And something every Samsung owner should know. BACK UP YOUR EFS FOLDER!! IF IT'S EVER 0499******* YOUR SCREWED
Hi, firstly I'm a newbie so if I'm writing in the wrong place or the wrong thing I apologise before I even tell you what the problem is.
Here goes......
I have the huawei P9 32gb purchased from Giffgaff on 6.0 being impatient I wanted to try 7.0 beta. I can't remember which software I've used but my build number has changed and it now says my EMUI is 3.1 and Android 5.1
When you check with an app it says the phone is running 7.0
I really want my phone back to original settings and android 6.0 Huawei can't help as they say I need o2 firmware for them to help me sort this out manually. Asked o2 they won't under any circumstances give me the firmware to have my phone back to complete factory settings. If I post into Giff gaff they're going to know I've tampered with the software and possibly get charged quite a bit for a repair.
Can someone out there please be able to help me as I love my wee phone. Thank you in advance for your time and help and again sorry for going on!!
Build number is EMUI-A168-L09C432B040SP11-log
Can you list under Settings -> About phone what it says for device name, model number and build number?
That should give a clue as to what exact ROM you need to get to Android 6.
Peace
Hey guys,
since i went to rome last week i got the "not registered on network" error. Here are some details about my phone:
model: SM-G800F
android: 6.0.1
rooted? yes! i rooted the phone yesterday to follow some guides to repair it. didn't work
baseband: g800FXXU1CPL1
kernel: 3.4.39-8954887
build: MMB29K.G800FXXU1CPL1
warranty? expired early 2017
It's my first android phone, so i got really low skills with repairing it.
What I already did:
test another sim in the S5 Mini
test the sim from the S5 Mini in another phone
facotry reset
Tried to do a manual OTA Update: I always get the error that there is a network or server error
smart switch emergency recovery: doesnt't recognize my phone
flash 6.0.1 without repart via ODIN
coincidentally i saw that the IMEI in the phone (*#06#) differs from the one behind the battery :/ I think this could be the error, but i don't know how to fix it.
Thanks in advance for your help
That wrong IMEI even remains after i deleted the EFS Folder oO
Not registered on network imei issue
Hi There,
Did you ever get a fix for this issue as I have exactly the same problem, my SM-G800F IMEI now also shows as - IMEI 350695200123951-01 which is for a blacklisted NOKIA 6310. If anyone can supply an absolute beginners guide for me as to how I can get my original Imei back that would be fantastic.
I am just a user of an android phone and have zilch experience of tinkering with them.
I have seen reference to things like Odin and flashing firmware and am quite happy to give it a go myself and learn
I will post this on a few other threads that list the same issue as I am desperate to get this fixed now as is a waste of a perfectly good phone !!
Cheers.
