Hi again,
My S21 Ultra is having some mad battery drain right now.
Overnight it would drop 10-20%.
The only thing i have changed from stock is that I have rooted it and installed Viper4Android.
Please can someone help. I am thinking of returning this handset and going over to Oneplus 9 pro or some other phone!

"I am thinking of returning this handset..."
I don't think that those two sentences can go together.
dear OP... you legit created a different phone by rooting and installing new stuff....

You can't return your phone if you rooted it. They will refuse you any return.

Amazon don't care
Well Gookill using 16%. Trash apps another 12%
The former two only run on my 10+ when needed and I'd never load the latter 3.
All these apps may be causing even more battery usage than shown by driving usage up with associated apks running because of them.

I had battery problems in my stock rom. So I flashed and switched to the new rom XXLA1 in xda. It still hasn't fixed anything. I have posted the images 50 mins on battery of basically doing nothing but checking mails/facebook every once in a while. Can someone tell me what is going on? Help pls.

Are you using primarily WiFi or a 3G connection?

Have you also diabled the samsung apps update service?
No, How do I do that? Any other inputs people, please!
Hello,
Is there a way to unroot/unmod/unflash your phone to it's factory state? Like delete all apps/settings/files like it was brand new.
I'm really dissapointed in the battery life of my Z now after months of using custom roms. Currently I'm using the Stock one and the battery life is nowhere as good as what I have tested few days after I bought my Z couple of months ago.
This is my battery stat then:

Go to Settings>Backup & reset>Factory data reset
And your phone will reset like new.
Use BetterBatteryStats to see what is causing the wake locks which are hunting your battery life. Preferably rooted, since bbs works even better then.

With you on that one. This phone has to have one of the worst sleep battery drain I've seen. Seems like an unfinished product with unpolished crappy software

Agreed
I'm surprised there has been no software update with the gs7 series there were quick updates
Looks like the same bug from gs6 and gs7 are still present
Android os usage went down after I disabled wifi calling rather set it tp prefer cellular
LOL. Im a S7E user and I came here to read up on the new Note before I blew an Upgrade on Demand on it. The first thread I click on and it looks like the same battery problem still plagues it to this day. If you all are looking for a fix then I'm sure the S7 fix I posted a few months back will work. You can look throug my profile to find it. It should fix the "stay awake" issue.

I have no problem on mine, about 4% drain during 7 hr sleep. Once I disable programs I don't use I'm hoping for 2% drain, the same I'm getting on my old phone. I do manually kill programs I don't use often and I don't have any sync, auto updates etc. so that helps.
The setting for MOBILE NETWORK only locations is missing. Anyone know if it's just buried or did they take that setting out completely? Just got the OS 9 update a week or so ago. Medium battery saving still has GPS running. Battery drain is starting to happen. US AT&T Snapdragon version here.

I believe you can access it here, well for just GPS only.

Miscommunication going on with Limey. I do NOT want my GPS on at all but I found the article above already. No way to turn off the gps where you sent me. WTF GOOGLE?! Some of us do not want high accuracy turned on all the damned time. It sucks your battery life away! I went from more like 26+ to less than 20. Think about all those people out there that don't have 4000 Mah batteries? They are going to be @SS out if luck!
Hello there.
I am still rather new to android but understand some things. For example, I have note 10 pro with Arrow OS installed on it. Wanted it for privacy (thanks xioami, had to give them all details to unlock bootloader, woops) and get rid of bloat.
I have noticed on my last charge that microg services seem to be running. Which seems odd to me as I have disabled it (from settings app), and don't have many apps which need it. (ones which do are disabled also)
So my question is, what could be cause for it using 33℅ battery?! And where can I get further logs to understand what's going on.
If I'm running 33℅ on service I don't use, then that could be extra day or 2 for me not charging.
Pictures for reference

Here's just showing its run as a background app.
Sorry for noob first question, with full ambiguity. Please be gentle
I have come to realise that I may have disabled it, but I have rebooted my phone a few times so it probably would re-enable.
Question still stands, can I get further logs to understand why its using 33%? Thanks
Try investigate further with betterbatterystats (grab it from xda or play store). Grant any permissions that requires (root isn't mandatory). In my old experience with microg, it might be caused by the cloud messaging service, try to increase the ping intervals to 10 minutes or greater. But your case might different.
