Question Redmi Note 10 Pro Max Overheating - Redmi Note 10 Pro

My smartphone reaches up to 62 degree when i play games. And upto 55 degree when i casually use it.. (Browsing,Phone Calls,Chatting,Youtube.) Is it software problem? Can custom rom fix this stupid issue?

I am not gaming but I also reach 55-57 degrees with casual use. And it was not like that - it only started recently.
I am currently on 12.0.15 Global but the heating issues started way after I updated so I do not think it is related.

Never recognized this heating problem with custom os
Actually I'm on coltos and 5 hours using in ambient temperature of around 28 degrees celsius resulted no more than 45 degrees mobile temp

Will be trying custom roms soon. lets see can the temperatures improve in custom rom. currently, the phone is almost un-useable.

I can recommend coltos. It has som small glitches but overall battery backup and features are very good. It's also smooth....

Finally, this is what the Nexus 4 should be doing.

This is how it should of been without custom anything. Seriously.

In case anyone wants to know. AOKP m1. Franco's kernel. Undervolted by 25 mV. No underclock. Any tips to push it further?
(Note, this also included about 15 to 20 minutes of Miracast.
you should be able to under-volt by more then 25.
give 100 a try
i get that and more daily just clocked 1 day 22 hours ... then phone died from lack of juice

Is that safe for the circuits?
This is the battery life I achieve on my N4 with PAC rom and franco, and im pretty satisfied with 4h screen on time and decent standby drain
UV 150mv on stock clocks, auto brighness indoors (so screen on low setting), wifi.. I get 6-7 hours over a day and half by mostly browsing and light gaming (escape room games etc)
edit.. i do put my phone in airplane mode when i sleep
I get around 16-18 hours standby and 5 hours sot on average. Stock kernel, under volted by 112.5 MV, 15% brightness and using the battery guru app with location turned on
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium HD app
Undervolting is something I'm weary of. I've read about the whole speeding up, slowing down, and how it can negatively effect the circuits. :[
I need to say that I got almost the same results on stock rom only 1 hour difference but it was on 3% not 1% so i guess if i waited i would get to 14 hours
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Without underclocking or anything I got over 6 hours screen on time with around 22/23 hours on battery
Please use the existing battery thread

Overheating Issue

Please help
I tried to watched a movie on my XSP but I couldn't watched it for a 10 mints. It got heated so much and I even couldn't touch my phone.
I was in ExsitenZ ROM and I tried the same with CM 10.1 also but got the same thing happened.
But earlier I watched movies on official Sony firmwares with minimum or no heating.
Can someone try this out (Watch a movie) and help me on how to avoid overheating issues.
Sent from my C5303 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Check the following:
- Original kernel of eXistenZ ROM? (probaly since im not sure if you unlocke your bootloader) > Impossible to oc
- Other apps running at 100%?
- No case or bumper on it? (can also heat it extra up)
I'm on unlocked boot loader. I initially used original stock kernel with CWM and TWERP and now use CM kernel.Normally I play movies via MX Player and I use a flip cover on my XP.I will check for background apps running. What other things I can do to avoid this extream heating.
Thank u very much for your reply.

What is "overheating" for you? My phone gets over 49°c while playing Ingress o Real Racing 3. October 17: I was playing while waiting for a customer, and all of a sudden the phone started to get really REALLY hot. Over 52 degrees celcius on 100% stock Sony, just rooted. Locked bootloader, stock kernel stock everythinh and still overheats

All of a sudden for me too, GPS is now eating up to 15% of my battery and the Android OS is at 11%... I noticed this this morning. The only thing I installed last night was Greenify...
Quite similar to what I have. Android system and Android os always on top

This is new for me. I normally have pretty crap battery life but services and OS are normally never this high. The battery on my phone is so hit or miss. It 's behavior seriously changes daily. I don't get it.

By the way, it got me to 8.30pm yesterday before I had to charge. As bad and inconsistent the battery is, at the very least I can say it gets me to dinner without too much babying. I'm just concerned when it drains much quicker than usual which means I can't use it as much for it to survive.

Redmi 4X tempratures are too hot, need help

I live in a hot country, Pakistan. It's really hot these days, not sure if that's the factor.
But my phone has high temperatures, and it gets too hot to touch when using for a few hours. Can someone tell me whats going on?
I am using Havoc OS 3.7

How much the temperature of your phone?
I live in Indonesia. Rather hot here. I use Pixel Experience Pie.
In the idle state, my Redmi 4X temperature is around 29-30° C. When it is super busy, it gets 40-46°. I rarely use it for gaming. Mainly for internet browsing, hotspot and watching movies.

I did the same thing, I switched to Lineage OS 16 and also installed an called Naptime which aggressively puts the phone in deep sleep doze mode, which saves the battery alot and also makes it less hot.

I think you're perfectly fine. Even better than me. I usually keep my 5G off - don't really need it most of the time and it drains the battery faster than 4G
Wanna trade?
But how long time should the battery stand screen on ,can it make screen on for 5 hr!?

What is the MiuiMix please!?
Put the refresh down to 60 or 90 , most apps I use don't support 120hz anyway.
I can even lower the resolution to FHD+ and it barely annoys me anymore
Especially if I know I want it to last the whole day
Changing from 5g to 4g helps a lot of if you're using it to navigate with Google maps, runs much cooler too

Something is wrong if you'd losing 70% that fast with everything turned down low, factory reset or new ROM probably best
This is a whine. Battery usage is different for every user. Depending on a variety of situations, like apps or features that autostart and/or run in the background, as well as refresh rate, how often you use the phone and type of usage, etc...
