Is it possible to unlock the bootloader? (installing custom ROMS)
Still a no go.
An emerging solution seems to convert the phone to chinese model via Teamviewer, which MIGHT have a bootloader unlock, but I really don't recommend it (modem bands lost, etc)

I've unlocked my bootloader and i use custom kernel and rom. if I want to remove the network lock, it will brick the phone?
If not, which method would be safe to manage this thing?
i want to unlock my phone so it will be sim-free,withot purchasing unlock code,is it possible?
if i unlock my bootloader it will help?
there are other possible ways ?
I believe, network unlocking will only work with an unlock code. So you have to buy one.
Unlocking the bootloader wont help in this situation.
Anyway, if you have a Droid, then your bootloader is not locked by default, but if you have a Milestone, theres a bad news, you cant unlock its bootloader.
I was reading this thread about how to install Stock ROMs in the Lumia phones.
The process seems pretty easy. But since I'm a lurker the system did not allow me to make my question there. So here it goes.
If the phone was from a carrier, say AT&T, and it was unlocked by them to be used in any network, will the installation of a stock ROM:
1) Keep the phone unlocked because, DUH! is stock firmware
2) Keep the phone unlocked because it was unlocked before
3) Lock the phone again because some setting is lost
So, any idea about this? The installation of a stock ROM would be a solution to unlock a Lumia phone?
No. To SIM unlock one the only way is to enter the code given from the MO that branded the device. Now... if the device has been previously been unlocked, it will persist flashing because the cellular settings are untouched when flashing. (Unless its stuff relating to the MMS and internet APNs, that will be overwritten when it is reflashed.)
Is it possible to relock bootloader without using MiFlashTool and flashing a real firmware? For example just to test if a unlocking works (and to do the waiting time), without real flashing new ROM.
Okay so basically i flashed WW_17.0210.2001.60_0 and i cant find OEM unlock in dev options
You cant unlock BL straight from fastboot, You either have to use Asus'es prioorietary app (which sends all Your device info to asus, theoritically voiding Your warranty), or the unofficial way - by basically flashing barebones sd855 BL, unlocking it, and then flashing ROG2 stock one back. For more info, there are proper threads regarding those matters.
