Hello,
I use MIUI 12.0.4.0 Stable on my Mi 9. When i check if there is any update, it says I've got the newest possible MIUI version. I know, that there is also 12.0.5 or even 12.5 MIUI available, but my phone tells me it's not... I've got Global version - 12.0.4.0(QFAMIXM). I tried to change regions over the world or even download stable ROM and install it via Manual instalation in settings, but it says it's not official or it can't be flashed... I also don't use proxies, vpns and I checked different internet providers. Why can't I just update my phone OTA?
+1. Same with me - I'm with 12.0.4.0 Global and no OTA available. Any idea please?

My error is Can't verify update. Can't flash this stable ROM.
Finally it worked for me. I was stuck with 12.0.4.0 without OTA update available. Manual update to 12.5.1.0 faced with above mentioned error. Then I tried manual update to 12.0.5.0 - it went well without any error. After phone restarting, the 12.5.1.0 appeared in OTA update, and I let it do its job.

sorry for the late question.
i'm facing the same problem. the error message in my phone is "Can't verify update" - Can't flash this stable ROM.".
I couldn't find miui 12.0.5.0 download link, so I'm still stuck...
I have found the link!
This link is only for our case - updating 12.0.4.0 to 12.0.5.0, and after that updating to 12.5.1.0 is available via OTA.
Thanks a lot @mttca for the idea.
I'm also on mi 9 and I succeed updating from 12.0.4 to 12.0.5 but 12.5 wont appear on my OTA and also wont let me manually update, what sould I do?

Well I'm still stuck on 12.0.5. Don't know what to do
Same, mi 9 global updated to 12.0.5 still can't update to 12.5
Change the Region in settings and search for updates.

u can update downloading the 12.5.1 global rom (fastboot) and flashing this via fastboot
Do i need to unlock the bootloader for that ?
The funny part is after updating to 12.0.5 the option to update from a file disappeared

The funny part is after updating to 12.0.5 the option to update from a file disappeared
Put your device into air-plane mode (i.e. disable all connectivity options)
Go to Settings -> Apps -> All (tab) -> Google Services Framework
Click on Clear cache (if enabled)
Click on Clear data (and OK the warning)
Click on Force stop (and OK the warning)
Disable air-plane mode (e.g. enable WiFI)
Check that you have access to the network
Wait (usually no more than a couple of minutes)
Optionally, go back to Settings -> About Phone/Tablet -> System Updates -> Check now
You should get a prompt to apply the new update (assuming there is one available for your device)

Doesn't work, also "clear data" clears the cache and force stop the app

I was pushed the KK update for TMo HTC one. The update was dowloaded, after that it verifies the contents of the firmware. It is failing saying "Download is corropted' and asks to dowload again. I downloaded it 3 times , everytime i am getting the same error. I soft reseted the phone and checked and downloaded again. No luck.
Later i killed the 'updater' app and cleared its app cache (some 20kb of data was there) via the setting-> apps-> All- > Updater. Now the in setting when i check for the update it dosen't show me the 4.4 update available
Is there any way by which i can update it via the PC ? I could not find any tool from HTC for it, sync manager dosen't do firmware update.
P.S : Phone is on 4.3 , never rooted, no custom roms. Just network unlocked via network code from T-MObile.
Thanks !!

Nope, there is no way you can update via PC. The only update method is OTA. Backup your data and do a full reset. Then try installing the OTA
Hi there's a new OTA update MP4 for my global BS3 I'm currently on MP3 compilation the thing is every time I tried to update my phone it always fails it starts the OTA download but fails after is completed I got to say I did the process without root but didn't work tried also relocking bootloader but didn't work either, I know some people said we have to manually update with dial configuration but that doesn't work either so if anyone figured how to update please let me know the version I have is terrible it drains so fast the battery
Regards
Ive used the global rom and its buggy as hell. The latest chinese rom is much better.

Has any got the AA to work successfully?
Phone : Note 10 Pro Indian Variant (M2101k6P)
OS : MIUI 12.5.4.0 (RKFINXM)
Cable is connected to the phone but android auto does not detect it. Below are the steps i have taken
New phone, Setup afresh ( No old Data was copied)
Have tried 3 different cables.
Uninstalled AA updates, restart and reinstalled them.
Default USB configuration ( tried with all the options PTP,No Data Transfer,MIDI,File Transfer)
None of the apps are setup for Dual app.
Have AA Screen for phone installed.
Unknown Sources is checked in the Developer options of AA
Initially when i connected the phone for the first time, i saw a message "Unsupported device" , default USB was set to file transfer at this time.
After that neither the message pops up nor AA works.
Any other steps that will resolve the issue?
Thanks

Can you provide the model number of your device? RKFEUXM or RKFMIXM .
Which model rom should I download?
Also, can I download it and flash this rom through fastboot , with out the bootloader being unlocked? Or do i need to get the boot loader unlocked first ?
thank you
Using the 12.5.4.0 RKFEUXM in my VW Touran Discover Media Unit from 2018.
Mobile is the Redmi Note 10 pro
Important: Not rootetd & closed bootloader!
More problems to me as original.

After the boot loader got unlocked i have installed tried the below ROM's but still cant get Android auto to work.
Eu ,Indonesian ,Global and Pixel ROM.
on All these roms none of the apps were setup for Dual apps.
Its driving me nuts , Any other steps that i can perform?
Lock bootloader and flash stock rom.
All my last mobiles where unlocked and rooted. None without any problem.
So i decided never to do this again. And all works as it should.
Sorry, not very helpful i guess ;-)

I'm having a similar problem, what did you find in the logs?
Hey everyone, I've come across the same problem on my Peugeot 208 (2020 model) with a brand new Xiaomi 11T, MIUI Global 12.5.4.0 Stable (RKWEUXM) and Android 11 RP1A.200720.011.
Tried the following:
- updated the phone but it was in vain as it was already on the latest available version
- turned on "Receive updates early" but no luck getting anything new
- sideloaded Android Auto 7.0+ (both stable and daily releases) as phone came with version 6.9.
- tried different cable (can only use AA via cable)
- checked for dual apps but none are active
- deleted Android Auto cache
- deleted updates on Android Auto & reinstalled
This upcoming Friday I'm visiting the car shop to see if I can get the infotainment updated, fingers crossed.
After this, I guess I can only do some log dumping and dive into those with hopes of finding anything.

Nope, Even with the new 12.5 Enhanced Edition issue still exists
I resolved mine by trying quite a few different cables, I didn't think it would be the cable as the cable that came with the phone didn't work, but this cable has been working perfectly: USB C charging Cable TecMad USB Type-C
I'm not sure why this cable works but the stock cable doesn't, in theory they both meet the USB-C standard...
Has anyone had problems with your phone's hotspot after updating to Android 13 on ZenFone 8?
I also did a factory reset, but it didn't help.
The signal is very weak and even if you connect another device, this then can not navigate because it is internet not available.
Back to Android 12 the problem disappears.
Did you have the same problem and how did you solve it? Thank you.

I just updated to Android 13 on my Zenfone 8 today, and the hotspot settings just disappeared (at least if I navigate through the settings). If i search all settings, I can find them, but trying to turn it on does nothing.
I wonder if this is an Asus problem or an AT&T (my carrier) problem.

I did all the tests, even the hard reset, nothing to do. I also tried to change mobile operator sim. It's just a bug in Android 13.
I asked Asus support, but they didn't give any answer.
Downgraded to Android 12 and that's the only way it works.

1. How did you try to get help from Android support? I was thinking of trying their phone support.
2. How did you downgrade? Is there a way to do with without wiping my phone and without rooting? I found a few guides about it online and they all seemed to require wiping the phone.

Oh, and also it's now taking about 7 minutes to register on the at&t network (as opposed to instantly in Android 12). How could they possibly have let this release into the wild?

Write to Asus support, you can find it on the official page. If you have registered your product, put all the data related to model and serial, only then they will move to find a solution to this bug.
For downgrade, you will always find in the support page for your model the firmware to download. Once downloaded, enter it in the internal folder of the phone and you will see that the update notification appears above.
Click and install. Obviously you lose all the data, because it resets to the factory state.

Thanks for the info. It wasn't obvious to me about the phone resetting - for all i knew, Asus might have an intelligent downgrade process that preserved the user data. Too bad they don't.

I also had this issue of the hotspot function disappearing after the Android 13 update. I followed the step to downgrade to 12. This worked, but before I could finish setting up my phone again, it was already automatically updating to 13. I reinstalled 12, and waited to connect to wi-fi to get things restored. Shortly after connecting to wi-fi again, the 13 update started again. I paused the update and then enabled developer options and disabled automatic system updates there, but I am not able to disable auto-updates in the regular system update settings. Is root required to disable this menu option? I have not rooted my phone and would prefer not to, if possible. Any suggestions?
Edit: So far, the phone hasn't resumed the auto-update overnight or following a couple restarts of the phone. The notification remains and I occasionally get prompts to continue the paused update, but I am able to ignore them. I guess I can live with it as is, but if anybody has any other ideas, please share. Thanks.
Edit: Today, I woke to find that the 13 update has downloaded and will install on reboot. I rebooted and let it complete the update to 13. Then, I downgraded to 12 once again. This time around, the option to disallow automatic updates was not greyed-out in system update settings. I disallowed auto-updates. The notification saying the update to 13 is available remained, this time, I was able to dismiss it. I don't know what to think about the previous issues I had, but it seems to have resolved it now.

I didn't see the Andorid 13 update even before the downgrade, I searched for it and installed it if I wanted it.
Adding to my posts above from February 18:
I was able to remain on Android 12, retaining the Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, until this morning. I awoke to find a software update notification message, giving two options: update or later. The message also stated that if I pressed later, it would continue with the update in 30 minutes. I rebooted the phone, and the update notification returned, however, lacking the 30 minute warning. A short while later, the phone began to automatically download the update, despite the option in settings disallowing auto-updates being ticked. I force-stopped the system update app, and it stopped downloading the new update. After a short while, it completed the android 13 system update download anyway. I decided to give the 13 update a try again, seeing that there was a smaller update added to the Asus Bios and Firmware download page on March 16th. I proactively backed up my data, knowing that I would likely need to downgrade to 12 again shortly to regain hotspot functionality. I rebooted to apply the base 13 update; no hotspot functionality, as expected. I then downloaded and applied the March 16th (WW-33.0210.0210.269) update OTA; still no hotspot functionality. I plan to downgrade again to Android 12, but I question how long I will be able to use it before another automatic update to 13 is forced upon me by Asus. Does anyone have any advice as to how to activate the hotspot on 13 or a way to guarantee that 12 will not be auto-updated to 13?
Edit: For anyone who might be having the same issue, here is what I have tried and so far, seems to be working. After downgrading to 12, I did not connect to internet during the initial phone setup process. When I did, the phone would already start automatically downloading the 13 update even before the setup process was finished. After setup, I immediately disabled automatic updates both in the regular system settings and in developer options (after enabling these, of course). I find it interesting that before, even with these two settings to disallow automatic updates in use, the automatic update would begin. The only other step I took this time was to disable my system app for system updates per the following method. https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-system-app-bloatware-android/
I understand that this method is likely used more for added bloatware than for system apps, and I questioned at first if it would even work for a system app. Still, after disabling the system update app, it shows "disabled" under its entry in the complete app list in settings, and the system update options in the settings menu are not visible anymore. The main "system" header in the settings menu does show a red dot with "1" indicating that there is something available within the submenu, but as stated there is nothing within pertaining to system updates since disabling the system update app. So far, there have been no other notifications for the 13 update as before. This system update app is easy to reenable, as shown in the link above, so if I want to download the system update later on, it is no problem. I will add to this post if this method fails, but so far, so good.
Hi, I'm having problems updating redmi note 10s to latest version.
I just bought the redmi note 10s a few days ago and it comes with MIUI 12.5.16.0 RKLMIMX so I think it's the global version.
I went to about phone section and tried to search for the latest MIUI version but it can't find anything and then I tried to download the official MIUI 13 update package but one of this messages apears "Can't verify update. Couldn't verify update package." or "Can't verify update. Can't flash this stable ROM."
As far as I know the latest version is MIUI 14
What can I do to update to the latest version?

You are almost a year late in updating.
The solution would be to unlock the bootloader, update and lock it.
I turn off mobile data and WiFi and then changed the region from Mexico to Russia, after that I rebooted the device and turn on mobile data and WiFi and check for new updates and it found the 13.0.13 miui update, I installed the update and then I was able to update to miui 14 from the official package.
Thank you @NOSS8

Glad for you, forgot to mention that, 3 threads same problem.
What's funny is that where I mentioned this method it doesn't work and where I forgot it works.
I have the same problem, the only case being is that the phone is pre-owned or a secondhand phone, upon purchase, I noticed that the phone was a bit slow or lag even without any application installed on it. I tried updating the miui version but all it shows is 'Can't connect to the network'. I am stuck on 12.5.16.0, what can I do?

Only if the bootloader is unlocked.
