When I'm on the move and enter an area with spotty or no cell coverage, and stay there for a while, my S21 Ultra won't reconnect to the cell network when I re-enter a coverage area. Pretty inconvenient when driving. I have to toggle airplane mode before it reconnects.
Anyone seen this problem? I have the SM-G998W (Canadian) version.
I have a problem when I turn on mobile data for the first time does not work. I have to turn them off and on again. And only then does everything work.
I have the SM-G998B/DS (International) version.
I have the same problem, except toggling airplane mode or mobile data doesn't work for me. I usually have to do a full reboot, which can be pretty inconvenient.
Snapdragon version.

which carrier do you have? have you contacted the carrier?
or try it in safe mode and see if it has the same behavior
submit an error report on members app > + button > error report if you think it's a software issue
Have not contacted the carrier, but sometimes they are reluctant to help if you didn't purchase the phone from them.
I have the same problem, toggling airplane solves it. But it's a major annoyance, specially if you wait for an important call.
I hope there's a workaround for this...
I have similar problem, when I am connected to a wifi network, icons 4g is turn on and mobile data stop work. Only way to turn on mobile data is restart phone. What is the problem?

So, I got the unlocked S6 off of eBay, SM920-F model. I made my research, it should work with the t-mo's LTE and all but so far it has not been playing ball with me.
First of all, even when I am on LTE on this phone, it just shows as 4G which is not a big deal, I can live with that but when I am on LTE, as you can see on the screenshot below, it does not show anything as to how strong my signal is,etc...If I am on H+ though, it does show my signal strength.
And my LTE(4G Signal) is always at about 2 bars at best, no matter where I am, even if I am in the T-Mobile store. I checked my APN settings but I don't think that's the issue.

Someone posted in another thread regarding LTE Discovery and the like apps don't work on the international models. I have the SM-G920I which is also International minus a couple of bands from your "F" global. Anyhow, with my Cricket Wireless sim the network status (not the lte discovery app) shows signal reception and movement however with my T-Mobile sim the network status does not move at all. Always shows -113. But if you use *#0011# the RSRP will show the true results of your reception. Oh and someone also mentioned that not all Global/International phones will display the "LTE" icon in the notification section even when you are connected to LTE. I believe it was carrier or tower/band specific.
I've got an HTC One M9, and an LG gPad 8.3 LTE. Both from T-mobile.
I'm also a commercial trucker, so I tend to go I to places with poor coverage. However, there are many occasions when my tablet is on a GOOD LTE connection, as in full signal, while my phone is either in 2G, or sometimes doesn't even have service at all. Sometimes restarting the radio helps (turning airplane mode on and then off) but not always.
Is this normal? Do I have a lemon?

Forgot to add (why can't I edit from the XDA app BTW?) on the latest MM OTA from TMo.

I am having trouble ever since the December update where my phone is basically useless except for calls if there is no wifi connection. I live in downtown San Francisco, and even when I full signal LTE, if wifi is off I cannot get much of a connection at all for any apps like maps or lyft.

this is typical of speedtest (144ms ping, 0.24mbps down, 2.15 mbps up) on the rare occasion it doesn't report network connection issues. I have a N950U with the current BQLA version. I have tried all the suggestions I can find, including cache wipe, trying every imaginable APN name settings like IPv4/IPv6, alternate apns like ecn.t-mobile.com or fast.tmobile.com, all to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be eternally grateful. It is horrible having a phone that is basically a wifi only device. I can get in a lyft or uber, and get to my destination on the other side of the city and it still will say "picking you up" so I know it is not a tower problem in one area or overloading or buildings downtown. Help!
Do a full data wipe/ factory reset. If that doesn't work, call Samsung for a warranty replacement.

Or try resetting your network settings first.

Hi guys,
I've found this weird issue using my new MI A2 64GB when is connected via bluetooth to my car.
If I reboot the phone everything works fine,

the connection is present and the network works properly, but when I unlock the phone for the very first time the bluetooth "lose the network connection"
and is not possibile to make calls via bluetooth.
However it's still possible to receive calls and even make calls using the phone, and the speaker of the car works as usual.
Did you ever hear this kind of problem?
Is it possible to fix somehow?
Thanks in advance for the help.
edit: i've tried to add some images to explain in a better way but it doesn't work,,

Hi,
I could not confirm your described situation (No connection), but we have a different picture.
Once Mi A2 ist conncted to Skoda entertainment system, signal strength shown in car's dispaly changes between 1-4 Bars and emergency call only.
Phone itself shows stable signal.
We are able to receive calls as well to initiate calls.
Using a MI A1 with same car -> no problem. Signal strength on entertainment and phone always identical.
Need to investigate with other car entertainment system.
Regards
Just a little update: the bluetooth worked for some days (I really don't know why), than unfortunately I rebooted the phone and it doesn't work again.
It is really possible that this HUGE bug hasn't be solved yet??
Hey all, today at 3 P.M. my SIM cards suddenly stopped working. I tried to reinsert and clean them, but no success.. Even with 1 SIM card and rebooting my phone don't helped.
I even read somewhere, that you can try to push gently front and back glass near the SIM card slot together, but the problem persist.
Does anyone know what else I can do? SIM cards are working in my second phone

As cleaning and rebooting were not succesful and the SIM cards are working in another phone, defective hardware is the most likely (and unwanted) reason, especially when the problem suddenly occured. While both SIMs are affected, it must be a controller chip on the mainboard.
I have somewhat the same problem, and it started around the same time. The simcard disconnects randomly at times, while at other times it works perfectly.
I can't distinguish a pattern in when it works and when it doesn't. Sometimes an airplane mode turn on and off works, other times it does not.
Got a new simcard, didn't solve it.
Read about at least one other user experiencing the same problem on a local Dutch forum.
@Sony make.believe
Which carrier do you have? My problems exist mainly with KPN, a Dutch carrier.
On Tweakers the suspicion is that the problem arises when switching between 4G and 5G. When I set the sim to not use 5G I don't have this problem.
Same problem.
Turned 5G off and the problem continues.
Any idea?
