Anyone else with problems with WhatsApp backup in the cloud?
It's incredible how long it takes to get the backup done. It takes approximately 8 to 10 hours to "prepare the copy" when on other phones it never took more than 30 minutes for the backup to complete.

Seems like a whatsapp problem more than a phone's problem.

hi all,
i have my gmail set to send/receive every 30 minutes but I notice it takes 5-6 minutes to download the email.
i notice it gets 'stuck' at the 'receiving headers' stage for 5-6 minutes then finally it downloads the message(s).
i just noticed this now when i only had 1 new 10kb message.
i believe this is why my battery life has suddenly turned terrible in the last few weeks.
any tips? I'm thinking to just delete my gmail profile and start fresh. i have it to download the last 30 days worth and only 5kb per message. if i change it to last 7 days, would that make a difference? I dont think it would but you never know.
Okay, I am using Dark Knight 5 (V5) since yesterday afternoon. I put the phone on the charger and took it of 5 hours later. I checked my battery usage 20 minutes later and noticed that "Gallery" was using a LOT of battery... 50% in 20 minutes and haven't used the phone since uncharged. Then I checked my data usage..WTF..700MB in 5 hours! As my plan is 1.5 GB and used already 400MB yesterday, this could have cost me a **** load.
Immediately switched over to WiFi, but how could this happen? Why would my phone, and it seems like "Gallery" specifically, download continuously, for no reason?

your picasa web album sync must be on.. so your gallery would be syncing all your pics in picasa web album to your phone..
It is on, but I always had it on and never noticed such an increase in data usage. I have got about 10 folders, 40 photos each. With syncing the phone shouldn't actually download each photo, it should start when I click on a folder

Well this is the only thing that I can think of for gallery data usage.. you can check by turning of data and wifi whether your pics have been downloaded or not..
Switched both off and checked folders in Gallery, still had to download them. Prob some kind of bug of Dark Knight 5
I got my Samsung Galaxy A Advance 2 weeks before and updated it to jellybean (India version) as soon as i bought. My problem is, whenever i use my phone for surfing or playing games more than 15 mins, it heats up like hell, Battery solo widget shows the battery temperature is 48 deg Celsius at most. Is it normal or i got a defected piece?
Thanks.

Guys,
I finally got round to installing PC Companion and decided to launch the Backup Wizard.
However for the past 30 minutes its been sat at item 2 Preparation doing nothing further.
Question being ~ Just how long does it take to 'roughly' finish item 2 Preparation then move on to item 3 Backup?
Edited:
Well, it finally moved on to item 3 Backup and now I have another issue..... time being taken.
At first it said it would tak 3hrs 10mins. That quickly changed to 3hrs 30mins then 4hrs 10mins and so on and so on.....
Currently its now at 7hrs 40mins in still climbing.
Granted it is backing up 14GB of data but it shouldn't take this long surely not....
Had I known I would have backed it up manually.
Edited 2:
Well, that was confusing....
One minute its saying there is 8hrs 20mins to go before backup complete. Half an hour later I look at the screen and its saying 5mins left to go.
All done but not as fluid as I would have hoped.
I'll leave these comments in case anyone else comes across a similar situation.

Same problem
2014 and I'm having the exact same problem. It says there's 19 hours to go... I have to leave the house in 1,5 hours, and I've tried backing up before, but cancelled because it never finished. How long is this gonna take? Copying 19 gb cannot possible take this long! The blue line is almost at the end, but seems to have stopped there.... do i need to leave it backing up overnight? This is 2014, man! I did overnight stuff in 1998!
same problem
i do face longtime backup with PCC. But while nearing finishing session PCC says Runtime error n closes or PCC doesnt respond which results in incomplete backup :crying:
I hope someone could help me with another software which help to take full backup. moreover this is my first post
Anyone else experiencing incredibly slow MTP file transfer performance with the 5a? I'm on a Mac, using OpenMTP. In Kalam mode, it takes at least several seconds per file—and I think more like 10-15—to transfer regardless of size. Individual large files do...okay I think? In "Legacy" mode, it seems to be much quicker but I get a message that mtp-cli has crashed, so I'm not confident the files actually transferred successfully. Overall, transferring 2GB of Titanium backups took like half an hour, where getting them off my old Pixel 3a only took a few minutes.
I had the same issue.. windows estimated 2 hours to copy 200mb.
I switched to adb pull and it took like 30 seconds.
