Question Proximity sensor problem - Xiaomi Mi 11

My phone is acting wired from two weeks ago. The Display is getting automatically off without even I'm going near to Ear. To WhatsApp Audio messages also when start to listen the auto the screen is getting off. I tried maximum possible to clean the phones upper part but still same. Please anyone help me how to fix this issue.
Sorry for my Bad English.
Thank You..

same with me. i couldn't solve the problem

I'm sharing this exact same issue when listening to WhatsApp Audio Messages.
I think it appears to happend more often under dim light conditions, but also when the sun is shining and I'm outside.
To me it seemed always help to hold the phone straight, rather than rotated a little bit.

Light Sensor Issue

Hi
I upgraded my XZ to 4.2.2 and after this im having a weird problem.
If im outdoors in the sunlight and make a call or take a call and then put the phone to my ear to speak .. after im done with the call .. the screen refuses to come back on until the other party disconnects.. but if i cover the light sensor with my hand . the screen comes on and i can disconnect the call ..
is anyone else facing this issue ?
any resolutions please ?
thanks in advance
As for a temp solution until you solve it, you can tick the "power button ends call" option in accessibility.

Camera - focus issue with audible noise

Recently the camera has started to exhibit some odd behaviour. Occasionally when launching the app, the camera will take several seconds to focus and you can actually hear quite clearly some kind of mechanical noises going on. It's not every time the case but this never happened before...
Anyone else encountered this strange issue? I will do some more testing in different lighting conditions to get a better grasp on the issue.

Proximity overly sensitive

Hi, I'm running on Epic Global ROM 8.2.1.0, and I have an issue that just started a few days ago. Anytime my hand passes in front of or over the top edge of the screen, the screen goes black, like the proximity sensor is kicking in. It's very annoying when playing games or watching videos. Is there a way to lock it down so that the proximity sensor only works while on a phone call?
I know I experienced a similar difficulty when using Telegram. I began playing a voice recording, but didn't finish it, so whenever my hand was around the top portion of the screen, it turned off and moved to the earpiece etc. Check whether you have anything that is proximity-activated in the background.

How To Guide Virtual proximity sensor - potential fix

Dear all,
I had problems with my Note 10 virtual proximity sensor over the last months and it went worse from day to day.
Reading details in how the sensor works, I tried to figure out what might cause it not working properly.
The sensor seems to use the top ear phone speaker to broadcast ultrasonic sound and detecting whether it reflects.
So this lead me to the assumption, that a dirty speaker might cause trouble.
Now that speaker is so small that cleaning it is difficult.
This is what I tried:
I took a very small needle and rubbed it from left to right and back and forth on that speaker. I tried to get off as much dirt and dust as possible from it very small holes.
Difficult approach, but you might try that a well. A needle, some cleaning liquid, something to blue away that dust.
After I tried I first noticeably that the ear phone speaker was much louder again and testing with a WhatsApp voice message and with the CIA test menu, the sensor reacted much much better.
I'll give it some more days of testing but wanted to share those thoughts with you!
Let me know if you also have success
Best regards,
Christian
is there any fixed or module?
Promoting my app that blocks screen during phone calls.
It will help to minimize effects from non-reliable ultrasonic proximity sensor.
So even if screen suddenly turns on you'll not press something by ear or cheek.

Proximity sensor ticking noise

hey,
I noticed earlier during a call that the proximity sensor makes a ticking noise when the display is switched off. The proximity sensor is located at the top right of the frame. Nothing can be heard when the display is on. The noise is always audible as long as the screen is off.
Has anyone else noticed that too?

Oh my god, I've been searching if anyone has this issue too (I also have an X5 pro) and find this thread via google search.
I'm not sure what's causing it but noticed it last week, first I thought it was the vibration motor for some reason. But yeah I definitely hear it when the screen is off only. It's most annoying during a phone call
This might be a defect since my Find X5 Pro is not producing any sound from the proximity sensor region. I've been testing in a really quiet environment.
