Rooting cause warranty loss?
Hi everyone,
New to this forum.
Bought Limited edition honour 4x Nice to have such a great thing in hand.
I am a big fan of rooting as it (use PCs internet to phone) saves my money a lot
I have seen in many of rooting procedure, it is mentioned that rooting will cause the warranty loss.
But I have seen many of you have already rooted. Does the warranty loss holds true to this mobile if rooted?

Download the Rootgenius.
Download the Rootgenius,search from google and install in your pc and connect your phone,be sure that usb debugging is on when you are connecting your phone to pc.One thing is that you have working internet connection on your pc because this root software download some usb driver file of few mb.You root your mobile in less than three minutes.

hi guys i succesfully done bootloader unlock on fastboot mode (huawei honor 4x phone)
now i have a question how to installl
TWRP 2.8.4.0 recovery.img file on phone i have to use fastboot mode and install teamwin s/w via adbtoll (fastboot) mode
r there is an other way pls guide me thx i am doing this reading tis post thx

I have got the unlock code from huawei for my CHE1-L04 (india version). Can someone post a newbie step by step instruction with screen shots to how to use the unlock code to unlock the phone and rooting process also. This will help so many users in the Indian sub continent.

I have rooted my device successfully by using the steps in http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/huawei-honor-4x-inidan-edition-che1-l04-t3099308. There is no need to visit the 03 links given in starting of the thread, if you have unlock code of your device.

struck in bootloop, urgent help needed
i just rooted my mobile unsuccessfully. it got struck on bootloop. i saw it somewhere else and found that bootloader unlock wasn't required for indian version. now i have rebooted it in fast boot.
please can anyone tell me which files to download and how to flash them since the mob struck in bootloop after i restarted it or else there was no problem with root. i already tried clear cache and data but it didnt help in any way.

Executive summary: If you flash China Developer ROM 6.1.14 or newer, your bootloader will be locked and the root access gone.
Before you upgrade to China Developer ROM 6.1.14 or any later version, make sure you understand the implications. Turns out Xiaomi has decided to lock the bootloader and to unlock it, you'll not only need to wipe your data but file an application with them and wait for their permission. So far, the application is in Chinese only:

Unlocking tool supported devices:
Redmi Note 3, Mi 4c, Mi Note Pro
Note: Forum user groups higher than Diamond member (including Diamond member), and all special teams have been added to unlocking bootloader whitelist. Your unlocking applications will be approved faster than other users.
Unlocking Bootloader Procedure:
1. Download zip file (recovery file) of China developer ROM for your device, put it into phone storage. Go to Updater app, press the three dot on upper right corner, and select 'Choose update package'. Choose the zip file you just put in phone storage. The update will wipe all user data, please make backup beforehand.
2. Log into the Mi account which has acquired unlocking permission on your device
3. Turn off your device, press the Power button and Volume - button at the same time to enter bootloader mode
4. Log into the unlocking tool on PC with the same Mi account. Connect the device with the PC using USB cable
5. Press 'Unlock'. The unlocking process will complete in about 10 seconds
After unlocking bootloader, users will be able to flash fastboot ROMs and custom ROMs. The unlocked device will be marked in the official service end. Users could lock bootloader again by flashing official MIUI ROMs. (This will need to use fastboot oem lock. Please note to flash offcial MIUI ROMs, otherwise your system won't be able to start)
Notes:
1. After getting unlocking permission for a Mi account, users can unlock the verified device immediately. One Mi account could only unlock one device within 30 days
2. Users could require for unlocking permission in this site: http://www.miui.com/unlock/
3. If a prompt says that the current account is not logged into a connected device. Please log in with this account on the device that needs to be unlocked
4. If your device is encrypted, unlocking bootloader will wipe all user data. Please perform a backup beforehand

In other news, the root access is also gone by default and will need to be re-enabled with an online check every time you flash a ROM via recovery or fastboot (non-OTA). Details here.
Comment: It all seems a bit ridiculous., especially the online application part.

Together we can change that. If unlock bootloader was easy and possible for everyone then problem wasn't exist.

What about anything from xiaomi.eu will that lock the bootloader if I flash an update through twrp?

I stayed with version 5.12.31 thus far so I don't know first-hand but according to them, no.
Just avoid the official firmware, including doing anything the Updater app asks you to. I think the app cannot be removed once installed but I posted here how to remove the notification.

Found this on french MIUI works great no locked bootloader.

It's totally ridiculous and the unlocking procedure is taking people a lot of time to get an answer. Very frustrating.

For an even bigger snafu, many people ended up with a boot loop after the first OTA update that also locked the bootloader, and although more than two weeks have passed there's still no way to recover from it as of yet.

This might help those with brick. No it won't ignore me.

I have received Mi Note Pro 64G few days ago
My phone is running Chinese stock rom 7.1.5 without root. I tried to install TWRP but unsuccessful.
I read some Miui forum that update rom to dev rom 6.1.28 would have pre-root but when I update to 6.1.28 via Mi-PCSuite, I still not able to install TWRP
So I read XDA forum that Mi Note Pro have to register to get unlocking bootloader code, but I can not complete the form to get unlock code
Please someone here can help me something to install a proper English rom from en.miui with google service as normal Android phone??

I got my Mi Note Pro granted open, but i found out is was never locked. I am on Cyanogenmod at the moment. The MIUI thing was too IPhone for me (coming from an iPhone)

and the install Flahify and install TWRP by flashify.

So this works to unlock bootlaoder? just read same on different website. Maybe needs seperate thread so people notice it.

That guide works very well and is the same posted on miui.com
I was on locked botloader and now I'm on multilanguage with twrp and root with unlocked bootloader.
Works very well with mi note pro in bootloop too

all the new mi note pro now comes with locked bootloader. one has to apply for unlock code at en.miui.com/unlock . also the funny part is that it asks for a "reason" for unlocking and if you don't give a legit one, they might reject your request. once rejected, you will have to wait 90 days for the next request. totally ridiculous but unavoidable for note pro owners.

[Discussion] Root & Bootloader Unlock is been archive (NON-5G)

Thanks to the help of @Unjustified Dev (no other of course ) , Unlock Bootloader is been Archive and with that, root is also done (needs Unlock bootloader)
Now only thing thing to do is let get the 3rd. Party development started, of course we need devs and hopefully we can get some devs interested in this device , which hardware wise is awesome.
P.S. Android 10 is a GSI Build and need Unlock bootloader to be flash (typical huh).

Pretty Smooth and Stable,
Known Issues :
* Screen Lock only can be set to : NONE / SWIPE
There is no other Screen lock option (Pin/Password?/Pattern,Etc)

Still stock Recovery, TWRP is in development (I hope),
For starters, for ROOT you need to be " unlock bootloader " , other wise I don't see how root can be done.
By unlocking the bootloader is extremely easy using @Unjustified Dev New tool release found here :

Pre-Magisk Patched boot.img indeed.....
But like I mentioned before, need unlocked bootloader with the fastboot commands to flash this Patched boot.img.
I'll create a thread maybe today or soon on how to do such thing.

That will work,
but you'll need UNLOCK BOOTLOADER if you don't want to end up in bootloops.

The Redmi Note 9 BootLoader

Hey there everyone, i recently got a brand new Redmi Note 9 (merlinnfc) And i tried rooting it,
Well, i've got everything, the magisk zip is on the phone, i have the TWRP image that i need (Un-official)
the only problem is... the goddamn bootloader. I have OEM unlocking in dev options turned on, and MiUnlock dosen't do **** since it's not supported in my country, any help?
The only thing i really need is just a guide on how to unlock the bootloader un-officially.

Yes i did try "fastboot flashing unlock", resulted in a simple verification token error.
Yes i did try all those "One Click Root" Apps, mostly malware, and none of them have exploits that support MIUI 12.5.0

You can't unlock without the official way.
Get miunlocktool if you want to unlock your device.

I didn't say miunlock is the only way.
I've said the official unlocking method is the only way.
For what I know, only two app can does it.

Question Qualcomm diag ports / root and continue installing the updates from Xiamio

I just bough a Redmi 11T Pro and I'm new in the Redmi environment. I would like to have the Qualcomm diagnostic ports. After trying dialling some specific codes, I find that the best solution was a adb command requiring root access.
To root I find out that I had to unlock the bootloader. From some website that would make impossible to install Miui updates from Xiaomi. But according to some website it would be possible to manually install these updates after downloading them with TWRP (it is possible to do it with older Redmi phones.
Do you agree that it would be possible on the 11T Pro (as it as very new phone)?
Maybe somebody knows a mean to have the qualcomm diag ports without rooting.

Why do you need the qualcomm diagnostic ports? As per previous Android/MIUI setup i think its still the same way to update if using custom recovery/magisk

you ned to unlock bloader , root , put twrp , and upgarde to a new Verion of miui !!!
root is easy , you can do yourself , twrp need to be compiled for your phone !!
But you can just root your phone.... and hide magisk , and update work !
