Good rom

Thank you neonmicky! Updated seamlessly and for the first time ever with my Mi A1 wifi calling actually works.

New Build 20210810 is Up
Changelog:
- Initial crDroid 7.9 code base
- Updated to August security patches (android-11.0.0_r40)

- Added option to instantly/15 seconds/screen off lock app on closing for AppLocker (Settings -> Security -> App locker)
- Updated translations
- Misc Changes and Fixes

Thanks for the good work.

You have any plan support for Mi max 2 offical?

I dirty updated from 7.4 to 7.9 a week ago. It's working nice here. No freezes and no bugs. But call recording doesn't record anymore which is a problem for me. Does it work for somebody?
I use Magisk + Axet's Call Recorder

Just updated to this ROM. Everything is fine and smooth but when I enable Wi-Fi Calling, the person on the other hand can't hear me, but I can hear them.
Anyone else facing this issue or know how to resolve this?

Thanks for the good work.

I am experiencing a bootloop when installing open gapps after the crDroid image.
Could this be due to my procedure?
I boot into fastboot.
Then:
Code:
fastboot flash boot twrp-3.5.2_9-0-tissot.img
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-3.5.2_9-0-tissot.img
Wipe the data. I also proceed the step in which I have to confirm with typing "yes".
Then I activate adb sideload, with whom I call
Code:
adb sideload .\crDroidAndroid-11.0-20210925-tissot-v7.10.zip
When I reboot now, everything is fine. But I would like to have a minimal set of gapps. Therefore with the same procedure without restarting after (4) I install the open gapps package (open_gapps-arm64-11.0-nano-20210929.zip).
Installation proceeds and is successful.
restart
I endlessly see horus' eye flashing in colors...
Any advice what I can try else?
further notes:
also tried pixel experience ROM, which is working fine (but here is no need to install gapps in addition because they are included). I decided against using it because it is bloated somehow, crDroid seems lighter to me.
also tried LineageOS but did also experience the bootloop. Here it was in bootloop also without installing the gapps

The rom works pretty well so far, the latest update to remove blur effect really helps the smoothness a lot! Running it without gapps.
The two issues I've had is volume often spiking when using headphones (basically when moving forward and backwards in songs/videos), and the display turning on to show the clock very often, even if the phone isn't touched or moved (this one is very minor since there was some setting to disable this behavior).

Build date2021-10-17
Updated flawlessly.
Call recording is working again (Magisk & Axet call recording) Great!!!!!
Hey Google not available. Voice match doesn't work? It's only on my phone?

Great ROM. All is working perfect.

This is the NightOwl LineageOS 15.1 Android 8.1.0 Beta3 built from source for the Galaxy Note 1 GT-N7000/GT-N7000B
This LineageOS 15.1 based ROM is in Beta state and not ready for all day usage.
The main functions are working but there will be bugs!
Code:
Use my Roms only if you are sure about the risks of flashing custom Roms/Kernel to your device. I'm not responsible for any damage caused by using one of my files.
NOTE:
Because of the Rom Size and the ART runtime since Android 5 all Apps will need more space. If you want to install the rom together with Gapps you need to repartition your internal storage.
You can find more informations in the Howto Install section.
Changes:
Beta3:
* Updated los sources
* August security patches
* Fix mic-gain when multiple input streams are used
* Go settings without lowram flag set
* Acelerometer fixed
Older Changes:
Alpha2:
* Updated los sources
* April security patches
* First start wizard is working with installed gapps
* Youtube is working
* Added power profile settings
* Video playback mostly working
* Whatsapp videocalls working
Alpha1:
* First public release
Known Bugs Beta3:
* Installed gapps will cause a battery drain about 10%/h in standby
A part of the battery drain is caused by Wifi scanning which keeps Wifi always active.
Turn Wi-Fi Scanning off here: Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Location -> Scanning ->Wi-Fi scanning
This will reduce the battery drain but still something other (Ril?) is draining the battery too.
* If you get asked to instal/fix root/supersu in the recovery select no!
* Usb dialog not working. you can enable mtp mode in the developer settings
* Adoptable storage is not working (don't format your sdcard as internal!)
* Because of the rom size you need to repartition your /system and /data partition if you want to install gapps
How to Install:
If you are running a custom Kitkat(4.4) or newer Rom:
1. Copy Rom + Google Apps + recovery-twrp3.1.0-build2-isorec-n7000.zip + lanchon-repit-20170115-system=1536M+keep-data=6G+keep-sdcard=max+keep-preload=same+keep-n7000.zip to your external sdcard
2. Boot into recovery
3. Factory Reset + Format the /system partition
4. Flash the Rom zip file (without gapps in this step)
5. Flash recovery-twrp3.1.0-build2-isorec-n7000.zip
6. Reboot the recovery to enter the twrp isorec recovery
7. Flash lanchon-repit-20170115-system=1536M+keep-data=6G+keep-sdcard=max+keep-preload=same+keep-n7000.zip (Read the instructions in How to repartition your device!)
8. Flash gapps
9. Reboot
The steps to install it from an stock samsung rom are:
If you have already an samsung 4.1.x running you can skip step 1
1.flash N7000ZSLR1_N7000OZSLR1_BRI (or any other other 4.1.2) stock rom using odin
2.Copy Rom + Google Apps + recovery-twrp3.1.0-build2-isorec-n7000.zip + lanchon-repit-20170115-system=1536M+keep-data=6G+keep-sdcard=max+keep-preload=same+keep-n7000.zip to your external sdcard
3.flash PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5 (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120702299) to get cwm recovery with odin
4. boot into recovery
5. flash this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20863 to get an updated recovery
(this step will make your old rom unbootable stuck in the n7000 screen but you can boot into recovery with press and hold "home" and "volume+" buttons and power on your phone)
6. you need to reboot! your device now to recovery
7. you are now in the updated recovery and you need to do a factory reset + format the /system partition
8. Flash the Rom zip file (without gapps in this step)
9. Flash recovery-twrp3.1.0-build2-isorec-n7000.zip
10. Reboot the recovery to enter the twrp isorec recovery
11. Flash lanchon-repit-20170115-system=1536M+keep-data=6G+keep-sdcard=max+keep-preload=same+keep-n7000.zip (Read the instructions in How to repartition your device!)
12. Flash gapps
13. Reboot
Updating If you are running an earlier NightOwl LineageOS 15.1 alpha version:
1. Copy Rom + recovery-twrp3.1.0-build2-isorec-n7000.zip + lanchon-repit-20170115-system=1536M+keep-data=6G+keep-sdcard=max+keep-preload=same+keep-n7000.zip to your external sdcard
2. Boot into recovery
3. Flash recovery-twrp3.1.0-build2-isorec-n7000.zip
4. Reboot the recovery to enter the twrp isorec recovery
5. Flash lanchon-repit-20170115-system=1536M+keep-data=6G+keep-sdcard=max+keep-preload=same+keep-n7000.zip (Read the instructions in How to repartition your device!)
6. Flash the Rom zip file
7. wipe dalvik cache
8. Reboot
How to repartition your device:
Because of partition size limitations you need to repartition your device to fit the rom together with gapps on the /system partition.
My example repit file (in the Downlodas section) will also enlarge the /data partition because the default size is to small for android 5+ if you want to install some apps.
Lanchon has made a tool which makes it possible to repartition your device in the recovery without loosing your data
https://github.com/Lanchon/REPIT
You need to have a working TWRP Recovery (CWM and Philz will not work)!
Make sure that you have at least 5GB free space on your internal sdcard0 before you start!
Make sure that your battery is charged and connect your device to the charger because repartitioning can take some time!
Installing the repit zip from the sdcard will fail the first time (because the sdcard is in use and can't unmounted) but the file gets copied to /tmp in this step.
After this select the repit zip to install from /tmp again and it should work
How to enable root:
1. Go to Settings-System-About phone and tip 7 times on Build number to enable the Developer options
2. Go to Settings-Developer options-Root access and set it to Apps and ADB
Don't install supersu (it will give you a boot loop!)

Awesome news incredible history. Many thanks Dev @bauner
Sent from my Redmi 4X using XDA Labs
Thanks a lot for the Rom @bauner
Clean flashed it on my GT-N7000 now and so far couldn't find any bugs that aren't known yet
Since it's my 2nd Phone I can't test anything RIL related but I'll try to check for any other bugs.
Do you know if we'll ever be able to install Magisk to our Note / What's the reason that we can't install it? I've read something about our Devices Ramdisk being different.
Dear bauner
Wow! Thank you so much!
Sincerely
Oh my!!! @bauner you're an absolute legend! Can't thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to try out the latest and greatest version of Android on our beloved Galaxy note!
I'll give it a try in a few days. I'm so excited. Thanks so much.
Cheers ?
whew my eyes...
btw first time trying f2fs installation on n7000, and it booted (unexpected as I see most of n7000 rom thread wrote nothing on f2fs support) gonna try it out
phone seems couldn't power on while charging with this kernel. Nice charging screen tho, love it
Thanks Bauner
EDIT: It seems won't boot (stuck at the charging screen) only if the battery is too low.
EDIT 2 : I don't know whether this is because of f2fs or what, I can feel that it performs much better than nougat (i mean on first boot of both rom)
Kiddos like screenies ~ :3
The lines in screenshot only applies to screenshot file - see statement by OP in first post
Thank you Bauner!
Thank you alot Bauner❤❤❤

The youtube video problem is known
The rom is a android go build which does not support split screen
Can you reproduce the signal loss or will it happen randomly?
Which camera setting will not work for you?
Can't test it in this level (Daily phone and all)
just wanted to say thank you Bauner for supporting Note!

Split screen works perfectly, but to use split scrren, you need to set the low ram flag in build.prop to false
*You will notice a slight change in ui such as recents and screen off animation
Oh i found out that it was not really a signal loss but a random no simcard. It is random everytime i reboot the phone. I have to reboot again for the system to "detect" the sim again

Welp I also face this problem since months ago (during last year, running rros nougat)... Tried several time of clean install of nougat but didn't help, even with a different sim. Hopefully as for now the issue has not come back again for me on los15.
I tot I'm the only one facing this issue ._. as I'm expecting this is hardware related problem. I'm highly confident this is not software related. My sis and my mom they both using n7000 as daily driver with rros nougat running since clean install during earlier last year, and they didn't hv this/any problem until now. (My mom make many phone calls everyday. ) Guess should be due to the worsening condition of the modem chip, maybe is because of the heat released from CPU is too much?
Interestingly I only got the no sim bug on bauner's cm12 and los15.1
Seems like it was unable to boot sometimes, when the phone is charging, even when it already charged full. Best to remove charger and boot. Else sometimes it will stuck at charging screen, then will need to reboot by long pressing the power button.
Sometimes shutdown or reboot, it will like stuck for a moment before reset.(should be kernel related?) Like if in TWRP, if press reboot, it will stuck there for around 5 seconds or more, in my case 15 seconds longest, before it really reset.
There's no thermal sensors detected. Can't see the temperature of system.
Until today still smooth like hell. No idea why haha I'm using lowram flag = false.
Surprisingly there aren't any MTP Host related FC Dialog anymore 0.0 I will try out MTP soon.
Overall, what a legend! Thanks OP! It seems like it is a joke to tell people that note 1 is running Oreo
But not.
Is there any way to get trusted face without mano gapps

With the default /system partition size you will not have enough free space to install nano gapps.
To fit bigger gapps as pico with lineage 15.1 you need to repartition the /system partition too.

Anyways, my internal storage shows as corrupted in 8.1.0. Not able to access it. Did I miss something?
Apart from this, everything is working great! Thank you once again for keeping this phone alive @bauner.

I've tried to flash it on my Mi Note 10, but I ended up stuck on bootloop.
Here's what I've exactly done:
- Since I was on MIUI 12.0.2, I've downloaded and flashed MIUI 12.0.3 (the one linked before, recovery version). Although I did flash it, I didn't boot up the phone, nor did go through setup wizard. I just rebooted back to TWR
- Performed Data format (advanced wipe - selected only "Data")
- flashed LOS
- format Dalvik/Cache
- Reboot
Could the issue be not going through first-boot setup after flashing to MIUI 12.0.3? Also, I'm trying to boot my phone on this MIUI right now, but it is definitely stuck on MIUI logo. I guess I screwed up big time.

- Since I was on MIUI 12.0.2, I've downloaded and flashed MIUI 12.0.3 (the one linked before, recovery version). Although I did flash it, I didn't boot up the phone, nor didn't go through setup wizard. I just rebooted back to TWRP

MIUI should normally boot. Maybe you can try the MIUI fastboot rom.

The thing is, you went to advanced wipe and only picked "Data" only... If you do advanced wipe... You have to also choose "Internal," both "Cache's"and "System". It's easier to just go to "Wipe" press the "Format data" option and type in "yes".
Plus.... when coming from another Miui Rom, you have to wipe everything from the wipe options written above.
So do that.. and then follow the steps below.
-Reboot to TWRP (in case your PC does not see your phone connected to load 12.0.3.0).
-Then load the 12.0.3.0 full rom, flash... "format data option", type in "yes"...
-Reboot to TWRP again.....
-And then flash Lineage, GAPPS and the latest Magisk 21.1.. and reboot "System".
Now if it doesn't come through.. flash 20.4 Magisk first, reboot to TWRP.. flash 21.1 Magisk and reboot "System".

You should try this awesome rom
That's a very nice rom, I switched from crdroid7. No crushes or freezes, only bug i found is that after a reboot lockscreen needs a few seconds to start responding. Gestures navigation is very smooth and really pleasant to use, in crdroid7 it was a bit worse. Lacks many customisation features known from previous version. Magisk works without a problem. I did not install gapps.
Good job, thanks for that
One sidenote, I don't know if it is only the case for me but after I clean flashed this rom, and flashed official twrp 3.5.2 installer afterwords, it just won't boot. What's worse, it will stuck twrp on splash screen and booting other twrp via fastboot does not help - always same issue. I tried with 3.6.0 but same problem. Maybe it's only for me?

How can I flash the gapps? I am a crDroid new user
New Update is Up!
2nd February 2022
Changelog : HERE
Download : HERE
Telegram Group : HERE
OTA Pushed for Existing Users!
Thanks for the update.
OTA didn't work for me, bootloop.
Maybe something with my setup
So here is what I did.
I had to flash manually:
Got to recovery (power+vol up)
In recovery (crDroid) I flash TWRP installer
rebooted to TWRP
Flashed the zip downloaded by OTA updater (from /data).
Rebooted to recovery (crDroid recovery)
Flashed Gapps and Magisk.
It's an amazing rom, however I noticed the icons are slightly stretched vertically, since it seems to be a wider margin in the side edges of the screen. Is there any way to fix that?

You install the ROM, reboot to recovery and then install the Gapps zip-file.
This is just an Android 12 Beta-build. When will there be an official stable build?
Seems like GPS location doesn't work. It's not connecting to SATs :-(
Maybe at next release.

Hey...jst 1 2 share my experience about the gps. I was trying to improve the gps by trying to edit the gps.conf file (read some advice on this forum), so i was editing a few line of code here and there hoping to improve the gps, it doesn't seems to work well, so i start wondering if this gps.conf file even relevant ? So i try NOT TO use it by renaming the file to .old and test it with an app from play store (GPS Reset Com - GPS Repair), installed the app, did a GPS fix from the app, went outside of my house to test ...and surprise surprise..it lock on to about 8 to 10 GPS, and now i am using Google Maps for navigation without any problem. Normally it got a fix within 20/25 sec, i hope this can help you in some ways ...

Thanks for the reply.
So you used a root explorer to just rename the gps.conf file at what path ?
And can you link the playstore app that you used to repair the config ?
Did it use root ? And produced a new file next to the renamed one ?

I tried this Rom. The colour adjustments keep reverting to factory, no matter how many times I changed them. I like to use warmer and more saturated colours. Reading mode also doesn't seem to "stick" and it only last for a few moments. Installed this in two different Mi11 phones and they both have the same issue. Any fix for this? Many thanks

OOS cam not include in rom, you can use LMC8.4 for better result then OOS cam.

Thank you for the ROM.
I would like to ask if anybody knows - does dual SIM work on this ROM (specifically enabling and disabling certain SIMs on the fly)? I know Lineage has issues with that along with auto brightness (jumps from low brightness to too bright with no in between) on KB2005.

Did you format data?
And did you copy partition?
You mast format data and after that copy partition.
And after that adb sidload rom.zip.
I just update mega directory with pixelextended recovery, try to install and then tray to install rom.
Sorry if install instructions not clear

Thanks, flashing dtbo.img allowed me to install the ROM and everything seems to work fine, please update your instructions, so others won't have this problem.
New build are up
Happy flashing
Decent but the sound externally is awful. Very low and static-like. I usually have to turn it down, but i had to turn this ll the way up and i barely heard the song. *sigh* any suggestions? It's the same with the ring tones, they're VERY low.. what is going on here?
