Hi, for those of you with a P9 plus and using a screen protector, I'm wondering if anyone of you have found one that fits the screen properly? Here in Hong Kong, most stores I've gone to sell the same temper glass protector for P9 and the P9 Plus. I wasn't aware of this on first purchase, then I realized the cover only barely covers the screen ,leaving these unsightly cover edges still visible on the phone's front. i ripped it off and got a second one at another store, only to realize it still doesn't fit.
in short, i have been unable to find a screen protector that actually FITS the P9 plus completely. i think i saw on a thread somewhere that another person had the same problem ordering screen covers off Amazon (P9 screen protectors passing off as P9 plus protectors).

try this - i ordered one and waiting for it
here
I ordered on Amazon the YOOTECH 3 Pack screen protector, i'm waiting for the product but on the description and images show that fits completely all the display.
There is also the TPU screen protector of PURO that promise to cover all the display like confirmed from his assistance.
I recently tried ZAGG invisible shield. It was able to cover most of the screen especially the left and right curved edges although a concern for the top and bottom part.
1. cutouts for the front camera, proximity sensor and the earpiece are off. I think 2-3 millimeters.
2. length from top to bottom - it ends right below the huawei branding logo considering the placement for the cutouts.
So taking those into account, I sent an email to ZAGG support and they were kind enough to consider rechecking/measuring the placement of their cutouts for the P9 plus. I am still waiting for the replacement protector they are sending as they offered it seeing how their layout is on my phone.
Will give an update once it arrives (and I get it installed).
I have received the screen protector mentioned in the previous post, it's very good and cover practically all the screen, is a tpu protection and all the holes of front camera etc have optimal dimensions.
Under you can see a photo.
Good one .!
Yes very good considering that all the others was horrible.
Just only one negative thing, It is not anti-fingerprint but it can simply cleaned.
Ordered nilkin hard case and tempered glass. WOuld have preferred Spigen or otterbox case but none yet available here. Lazada Philippines.

Can you post a photo of your P9+ with the TG installed? I find that the black bars kind of ruined P9+ design. Does "Press Touch" still work like without the TG on?
I used the Amfilm Tempered glass protector for my Note 9, but see that their protectors for recent models go for $39. Wow. I think I paid $12 for the Note 9. With the new Gorilla glass on the Ultra, do folks think I still need a glass protector, or would a film type protector be enough? Any recommendations?
The Ultra is so expensive that I decided to get the Ultimate Shield protector x 2 with full adhesive. With 10% discount UK price is £27
Just out of interest is a screen protector needed with this new stronger glass?
To avoid the possibility of micro-scratches, I'd still invest in a good SP.

Not for sure. Some reviewers mention it exists some don't mention it at all. For now,50/50
I've never used a protector that needs UV to attach. Are this type that much better than the regular Tempered glass protectors?

No. they do not come with the factory installed protector like the S20 Ultra did. Just a thin peel off film like on the back of the phone.

I am not sure, I am using a Whitestone Dome Tempered Glass screen protector on my Note 8 and ordered the one for the Note 20 Ultra...... Whitestone Dome protectors come with a UV light in the kit and I have been very happy with them. I only had to replace it on the Note 8 1 time and it was my fault for dropping the phone.... The phone made it through it fine with zero damage to the screen, but they are expensive.
For now, I just ordered a 2-pack of the Ringke Easy Dual screen protectors for $10. I loved them on my Note 10+ and my wife's S10+.
I also used Whitestone Dome on my Note 10+. I liked it, but it certainly affected the fingerprint sensor.
I wont be spending $65 on Whitestone Dome this year (although it's 20% off right now on their site).
If there's some decent competitors to Whitestone Dome for the Note 20 Ultra, like there was for the Note 10+, I may consider one of those.
It looks like AmFilm has a UV application protector coming out:
amFilm Ultra Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, (2 Pack) UV Gel Application, Tempered Glass, Compatible with UltraSonic FingerPrint Scanner for Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (2020) that's going for $39.99 at Amazon. It won't be in stock until 8/25. I just ordered the Spigen wet application film protector until the reviews come in on the AmFilm. I have the Sammy LED Wallet case so the front of the phone is mostly covered when not in use.

No, the S20 Ultra had a factory install plastic screen protector that was pretty decent.
The Note 20 ultra only has that thin plastic to protect the screen during shipping, two different animals.

The only thing I don't like about the Note 20 Ultra version is that it's the "Wing" version, so it wraps around the edges of the device. I'd prefer it stop at the edge of the screen, but it will do for now.
If anyone is interested in the dome, they've got a deal right now - 2 pack for $52. Need to use code Note20...Probably doing it myself, they are the best I've used.

They definitely will. I'm.sayijg from experience with the Note 10+ and the S10+, which both use the same fingerprint reader, that they have no effect on the fingerprint reader.
It's only affected when there's an air gap between the screen and the screen protector. These are a film that applies directly to the screen.
Hi all just a basic question is it worth to put a protector on the camera or not? If so what ones would you recommend?
Thanks

I've been thinking about this myself. I've just put on a case because I know when putting the phone down, the first thing that touches the surface will be the camera module. Also since the module is just metal this time, I figure the paint will be the first thing to scuff off.
A glass protector might be a bit thick.
Don't use the full glass that covers the camera lens - the gap will cause condensation since it's not on the surface of the lens.
Skins or the aluminium ones with the cutouts should work fine.

Simply use a good case with raised guards around the cam module. It's protective lense cover is replaceable anyway. Don't use it as a finger hold...
That's all I have on the 10+ and I live in the dusty desert. Zero scratches so far.
Carefully clean with a dry microfiber cloth as needed.

I was thinking of getting that case but would worried me was that all it would take is a little stone get caught under that camera slider other than that looks nice.
Hey thanks for all your replies seeing as my case is slightly raised above the camera think I will leave the camera protector off for now..

My Bolt case has a raised 5-6 mm guard on the cam/sensor modules.
Case selection is limited for this new phone.
Check out the Zizo Bolt when it becomes available. It's my favorite case; it can take a hit, is easy to hold and use. Also has slightly raised guards for the display, good corner hit protection but still fairly compact.
I bought whitestone glass screen protector for the camera when I first removed the plastic. It has held up for the few days I've had the phone. It does cover the lens with glass so it should protect them. Had plastic film on my S10+ but came off when I wasn't looking and didn't seem like I needed the protection though as the camera is not scratched or cracked..

The hood on high dollar lens isn't there just to reduce flaring, it helps protect the lense from direct contact. Even in falls it does this quit well.
Likewise your case should have good raised protection to help avoid contact with anything.
Poor cleaning techniques are the next biggest hazard. Keep your fingers off it and use only a microfiber cloth to clean it. Dirt, sand, grit doesn't scratch it unless you rub it. Wait to clean it if you can't do it right at that moment. Use a blower bulb the remove loose sand etc before you use the microfiber cloth.

this kind of case also solve the problem of a "dancing phone" when you use it on a table
Ok just an update I thought i would try camera protection so i brought a couple they were glass type ones day time pics were not bad but night pictures i kept getting lens flare. So i took off the protector and lens flare was gone. So i thought I would let you know of my result using glass type.
Are the Whitestone Dome ones any good?
It will be good to have som addon for camera to protect.

sure will, I had a note 20 Ultra that I had and used the later case cyber edition for that and loved it, might be late feb or march before I get the case.
I just have to say that the tempered glass ones suck. Because of the metal frame, they use some kind of strong adhesive to get the tempered glass to adhere. It's impossible to remove without the glass shattering. I managed to remove the tempered glass camera protector but it managed to scuff/scratch the matte black metal around the cameras... sucks.

Wow that does suck mine was sticky but lucky enough managed to get it off without any problems.
I'm just worried that the sticky glass might damage the flat black paint on the camera hump when you try to remove it?
Please, confirm that WSD for s20 ultra fit for s21 ultra.
It is rumored that it does and goes ok with the original Samsung Leather Case, Black.
It will, but S20U is longer than S21U.
Expect the UV Tempered Glass to be pushed up by the case and have an ulgy halo effect sooner or later.

Used the uv gel glass one. Works great with fingerprint reader. Got from Amazon half price of Whitestone.

Install was easy. Might want to use a few drops from the second gel tube on the first install. That was the only thing that was a tad short on the install.
