Slow Shutter speed issue - Horrible blurry photos

Whenever I shot a photo from front or back camera, it either doesn't focus at all or takes shaked photos, even when I seem stable with little motion, resulting in bad photo due low shutter speed. Does anyone else experience the same? Is it some hardware issue or it is software? The photos are usually blurry and overexposed. It seems like phone needs a tripod even with 'good light'. It results when I shoot the photo only, because in preview before I take the photo, everything seems focused.
The configuration I see in metadata is usualy 1/20 of shutterspeed with 400 of ISO, AI desabled. Mate 20 lite supports 3200 ISO, so what's the deal? I had Nexus 5X before, and I never experienced such an issue. In low light it was grainy, but focused with 3 years old Nexus 5X, what's with the mate 20 lite?

1. What are the results with the AI mode enabled?
2. Have you tried using the 'Pro' mode where you can adjust the ISO etc?
3. Can you upload full resolution images somewhere? I use imgit.org as it keeps exif data, but whatever works for you.

Hi, having the same "issue", also when trying to capture details (almost Macro photo) camera cant focus correctly....i went from a P9 to the Mate 20 Lite and i'm a little disapointed with the camera quality....hope that the problem it's some sort of configuration....

I always use Gcam.
I use stock app only for extremely lightened scenarios, not even with night mode (with AI stabilizer) because the quality's not the best.

Is it possible to install gcam on not routed device.

It doesn't have HDR mode and night sight but I get much better results than with stock camera app.
Try it you don't need a rooted device.

Great it sounds good.
I tried it, and the quality of immage is better, thisphone have a good camera I hope to solve with andrid 9

In some dark pictures, the difference is bigger between stock app and gcam app. Try taking a picture with flashlight with both apps in the night and you'll see the difference. (The difference is not only in that case)

Maybe you're right, but i didn't use flash too often. In other hand, maybe have little more details in low light situations but with more noise compared to stock camera app. Even on day shots in shadow area visible noise to me.

In some pictures I take with stock camera (specially in dark situations) there's a blue tone rounding the photo and it's horrible. I prefer to take photos with gcam than Huawei cam. I hope Huawei solve the low quality of the cam in an update.
I had the P20 lite before Mate20 Lite and it took better pictures than Mate20 (even with the higher specifications of the Mate 20)

Hello, did anybody found a working version of GCam for Nokia 8 Sirocco after the recent update to Android 10? I tried many apps suggested in the Nokia 7 Plus thread, as it's supposed to have the same internals but no success. I disabled battery optimization. The app starts once, I allow it everything and afterwards it just crashes. The only port, which was semi-successful was KillerCam_V1-Final_SA10.apk based on GCam 6.1 (I can't post a link, sorry) I'm able to capture a movie but not a photo. I can make panoramas and use the lens blur but not normal photos or portraits. The version based on GCam 7.2 crashes like all other ports. Did anybody else had more luck?
EDIT: I also set it like recommended in this post:
Killer Mod mandatory settings
1."Fix tap on focus" should be Enabled
2."Buffer Fix" should be Enabled
3."Using Sabre" should be Never
4."Max allowed memory" its upto you allow as maximum as you can. In my case 1680

Can Raw Capture be enabled somehow on rooted devices?

there's a way to prevent gcam from crashing described on the Nokia Community board (can't post a link because I just registered):
1. Install KillerCam_V1.5_Revolution_6.1.021.apk
2. Go to app details and force stop Killer Cam
3. Clear all app data from Killer Cam
4. Start Killer Cam and confirm access to location etc.
5. Close Killer Cam
6. Install Gcam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.6-Fu24_5Lens-02b6.5-A10.apk
this does result in a working, usable app at least, but still without RAW support of course.

It doesn't crash but what's the point without HDR+, portrait and night shot.
Better of to install gcam go

GCam Go is pretty decent for me. Not as good as GCam on Pie, but certainly better than the potato quality of Nokia's Camera app.

Gcam without HDR is same as stock Camera.
RAW Capture is disabled in Sirocco and is enabled in 7 Plus. I suggest everyone to contact them and tell about it.

I think it is end of the line for nokia 8 sirocco

I don't know, the pictures looked a little clearer, but maybe it was just in my head. I'll take some more pictures with GCam Go and report back.

Pie worked great. I think I'll try to downgrade.

After new security update none of camers app worked.even stock camers app.
Update : After 2 restart problem fixed

This method gcam app works better than Go cam, at least there is video stabilization .

If you have found the perfect gcam mod and settings combination, please share it.
For all the 6.1 / 6.2 versions I have tried, there was one or more of the options not working.
The BSG build 2e worked best so far.

It's the first gcam 7, I could install.
* Most features work for me.
* Night sight camera (preview) is 90 degree rotated, but the images are correct.
* With the auxiliary camera (enable 2nd and 3rd lens), the app crashes when selecting one of the other lenses.
* After crashing, I can not open the app anymore. I had to delete the app's data files to start it up again anew.
Unfortunately, it this gcam version can not work with the 64MP camera.

Any chance to have the support of the tele and ultrawide Lens ? Tried many different releases of GCAM for several device but none of them was working with Realme X2 Pro 3rd lens...

That one works fine for me, with the exception that the video isn't working for the telephoto lens, but nothing crashes.

For stock camera's also, Realme doesn't use a zoom lens for video,
try to close the lens while shooting the video to know what lens to use, *maybe the (hardware) zoom lens on the x2 pro really can't record video

You can Install it without Any risk additionally to the MIUI Cam and try it.
In my oppinion everyone Sees a Picture different, so try it an decide for yourself which Looks better for you

Thanks for the videos, might wait a bit then. But the selfie camera is way better with GCam though.

PS: You might want to use 4:3 instead of 16:9, 16:9 loses too many MPs

I've swapped to arnova gcam using pachenko's config (htcmania) tho, he knows better about libpatcher configs, and in arnova there's no front zoom bug (it has a workaround here anyways, so experience is similar)

Can You tell me how to import config files into Gcam app? I tried to double tap black area around capture button (like in every tutorial) but nothing happens. I'm using latest version from Urnyx based on Gcam 8.0. Stock Xiaomi camera app makes crappie photos, Gcam makes a lot better, but I want to see if config files improves photos quality even further.

You made the folder GCam/Configs7 in internal storage and put the xml file there?

Thanks, for auxilliary camera if i go to settings/general/advanced /extra/auxilliary /and enable two lens with camera id 0 and 3 then i am getting two lens main and wide. How to enable 3rd,what should be the id?

Yes, I made those folders.

I have tweaked xml files for trCamera V6. Its working awesomely on MI 10T (non-pro).
I have attached 02 files here.
One is for Day time photos & the other one is for night shooting. Everything is working. Try yourself and tweak further for your own likings.

Note: This version stores files in /trCamera/XMLConfigs/ not inside the usual /GCam/Configs7/ folder.

I had terrible experience with the NGcam, not even close to what i used to have on other versions!
The one i'm liking to use on 10T pro is HCStrike Remix 1.1 from RZ.

Does anyone have some new cool findings, some tips for some ports?

Hello there.
I have been tried more hundreds of Gcam for my Mi 10T Pro (global) version. Every time when i try to capture selfie i found so many spot in my face (although i have that). But it seems like face retouch option in Gcam not working.
After testing several versions, I found that the only version that facial retouching works is GCam_Mi9SE_v.0.2.apk (onFire), but it does not work in night mode (the camera crashes).
Does anyone face these problems when taking selfies? And how to overcome this problem? Thanks!
