[HELP] Google services not working properly on redmi 4x havoc rom - Xiaomi Redmi 4X Questions & Answers

Hey there, I installed this havoc os rom on my redmi 4x just to make this phone alive for some more time, but what happened is it wasn't registering my google account, after multiple attempts, turns out IT WORKS with a different network (wifi), as if google has blocked my wifi(don't know), since then i tried multiple roms clean installls and same problem. I logged in into google services with different network and now when i operatr it with wifi, YouTube takes too much to show results, Google voice doesn't work.. idk what happened. Rest of the rom is fine, is this any problem with GApps? I flashed nikgapps basic version. How the heck is my phone tracing that network even when i delete everything before installing new rom.
PLEASE someone tell me what to do, tell me a different stable rom that Just works!, i want to give this phone to my mom for basic use like phone calls and YouTube. Can't flash mi roms because they don't have on screen navigation buttons and this device's nav buttons do not work so that's what i flashed a custom rom in the first place.

Solution for CM 12 ROM in lenovo k3 note issues ?

I've installed cm12 in my lenovo k3 note. but, my sim cards are not being recognized. i can call people from my first sim. not my second. and, if someone calls me, they get that my numbers are "not reachable" . mobile data is not working. i cannot save a wifi signal. each and every time i must type my password in, to connect.
Also, "Restricted access changed. All voice services are blocked" "restricted access changed. data services are blocked"
^ these appear little often. I've tried clean reinstalling many times. nothing worked. please help me. what can i do to solve these issues?
cm12 is not so good for this phone. use another rom such as andrioum 6 or phoneixrom. also dont miss out the latest vibe rom. its rally good
CM ROM for K3 note is jus too buggy !! Use miui or vibe ROM..they're much better
No XDA Dev member has created an AOSP/CM/Custom rom for this device yet.
Sadly, most of the ones that do (different websites/forums) are not in english.
Hard to understand even with Google Translator.
Until then, stay on stock or the ones the two posters above me mentioned.
The ones here should work too: hxxp://www.needrom.com/category/lenovo/serial-k/k-50/
Try the new version

GPS not working on MI 8 china stable 9.6

Hi,
I've bought xiaomi Mi 8 from Shanghai last week. It is china rom currently on miui 9.6. I've installed all the google services and given all the permissions properly. But phone not getting gps at all. It keeps searching for gps. But could not locate the locations in google maps. It's too much frustrating. Tried all the tips found in online but didn't work. People are asking to flash to global stable. But I wanted to stay in china rom.
So could you guys please tell me that if there will be any fix for this issue? Is there going to be any update? If there will be any update for fixing this issue then how much it will take? Should I wait or just flash to global stable? Please let me know. Thanks.
I'm on MIUI 9.5 and Google Maps work. Using a VPN of course.
current status
I've found that google maps and others gps tools apps are working great in outdoor where I'm under the direct sky. But whenever I get inside of a room or building it stops working.

Strange google maps problem

Hello all! I am running the latest official EEA rom (10.2.26.0). Every 3 or 4 hours, when I open google maps and try to navigate to somewhere it shows that I am offline. The phone is connected to the internet (i open a browser to check and it works). The problem is solved with a simple reboot. Has anyone noticed the same thing?
I googled and found that one possible solution would be to uninstall and then reinstall the updates to google maps, via the play store. Try and update if it helped.
Thank you crazybill, I came across the solution but thought it was just an answer like "Have you tried to turn it of and on again" . I will give it a try and report back in a few days. I am preparing myself for a factory restore if everything else fails!
You might want to switch from the EEA ROM to Global. Xiaomi has been having problems with bugs on supposedly stable MIUI builds but the MI 9 EEA ROM seems to be plagued with far more serious bugs than the Global.
When I was running EEA there was a bug that killed the sound from incoming calls on Volte and disabled WiFi Calling. This was on a "beta stable" build that Xiaomi pushed out to many phones (including mine) via OTA. That was last month but there have been recent reports on XDA from MI 9 owners running EEA who are currently experiencing the same issue.
Reportedly the latest EEA OTA is also bricking some phones--but that's why I always unlock the bootloader on Xiaomi phones. The same thing was happening to some owners of Mix 2, Mix 2S and MI 8 phones--a routine OTA bricked their phones. With your bootloader unlocked it's usually easy to recover but with a locked bootloader it's virtually impossible unless you are willing to open the phone and attempt an EDL Test Point reset.
You might also want to take a look at your phone's location settings. When I got my MI 9 running EEA out of the box the location settings were set to a power saving option instead of high accuracy which I didn't realize so Google Maps would lose my location periodically.
Google Maps also didn't have all the permissions it should have had and didn't ask for them which I think might have something to do with the privacy laws in the EU that the EEA ROM was created to comply with.
After reading this, instead of just doing a factory reset I switched to global stable (I had already asked for unlock permission but never got around to do it). Google maps work without any issues, thank you very much

Im getting a fair bit of phoning home to China, EU/UK rom

So ok first off, i really do love this phone. I got it for the camera and for content creation and its great for it...
I had a Redmi note 4 before, and for a couple of years Ive been using a firewall since reading about a lot of chinese phones sending large amounts of data to china.
Now yes my old phone did phone home A LOT. So thats why i installed noroot firewall to keep an eye on things.
And literally every service phoned home. Many services that have no right connecting to the internet.
Now come 10t, i read that because this is an offical EU phone with EU rom and not a grey import, it should be following all the EU rules on data collection... So basically turn everything off it shouldnt contact home.
Trouble is..... even though I have turned most of the things off (outside updating service) many of the apps still phone home... Analytics, MSA DOWNLOADs, file explorer, mi remote, compass, clock security.... and other framework services. All phoning home to servers in china.
Ive not really done a deep dive into exactly what service is sending what data. But Why would downloads connect to a chinese IP every time i download something off the app store.... Or open Chrome?
Well using firewall now to keep things locked down.
Has anyone else seen this kind of activity on EU phones? Is anyone making a clean rom that remove this kind of sus activity?
That's what you have to deal with if you want to use MIUI.
Why not root the phone and flash Lineage?

Yes everything is working except DT2W.
There is minor bugs that will be fixed.
It's very stable.

Some 5ghz wifi bands aren't working
Auto rotate doesn't work
Bluetooth connection to audio devices fails after a call
Screen doesn't wake up when someone calls in like 90% of calls
Lineage Recovery bootloops
And yes dt2w doesn't work. Those are not minor bugs...

Don't know about 5ghz, I haven't have any issues with 5ghz. It's fixed in the latest version? At least it says so in the notes.
Auto rotation works fine for me. Have't noticed the issue with screen not waking up during incoming calls but I rarely receive or make calls.
I only used my bluetooth in ear for listening to music, not for calls but I se someone wrote it can be fixed by lowering volume a bit.
Lineage recovery bootloops if you flash it to recovery but if you fastboot boot the img it will boot fine every time.

That's all workarounds, that's why I say these are not minor bugs. I had all of those problems. I had 5ghz problem because my wifi router was set to a channel lineage couldn't read. Lowering volume, and turning bluetooth on/off couldn't fix it for me, only restart worked. Auto rotation and blank screen during calls were also my problems. Well to end offtopic, I'll wait for stable pe or similar rom before switching from global rom. I have pihole set up as blocking firewall at home so it helps a ton with phoning home...
ive also tried using noroot firewall, which worked fine on my old phone. but no matter the battery saver settings, it keeps getting shut down by the phone... So thats not secure.

Did you try to turn off MIUI OPTIMIZATION in Developer option?
Developer options? I can't find that...
Ahh found them... Had to enable them first... Been a while forgot about that.

Question Bluetooth in a car issue

Well, I connect a Bluetooth device, such as Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth in a car. I try to call someone on the phone, but the call doesn't go through. The information panel shows that the SIM cards are not activated, then after a few seconds, they reboot and become active again. If I make calls through the internet, there are no such problems. Restarting the phone doesn't help. Resetting network and Bluetooth settings doesn't help. Resetting Bluetooth devices doesn't help, so please don't suggest obvious solutions, I've already tried everything simple. The problem is definitely not with the headphones; the problem is with the phone itself, but I can't figure out how to solve it. I didn't find anything useful on the internet. The phone is Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G. Android 13.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem?
p.s. everything worked fine several weeks ago.
Android 13? try reflashing the firmware and the MIUI once again from the stock rom from thirdparty websites, or just use the a12.1 custom rom although its not a13, its working and everything is just awesome, no issues at all, and its AOSP so its much better than MIUI
