My last shared kernel version is v3.4.70, first one is 3.4.50. I will try update it to 3.4.113
Our original kernel version is 3.4.39 and 3.4.70 has 886 more patches than the original kernel, but every patch is not about our device.
So the point of this thread is to use the most recent kernel wich has more security fixes and optimizations than our stock kernel. And then try it on 17.1 rom to see if it boots or not.

nope, trying to boot 17.1, still got errors about ambient capabilities and stuck on bootloop
Brother, the battery issue is not fixed but i have noticed in cm 12.1, because of touch freeze we need to enable partial wakelock from wakelock app. And with wakelock enabled no touch freeze issue but battery drains heavily while in sleep.but with wakelock disabled there is no battery drain at all while sleep. So i think that firelord has enabled wakelock in lineage os 14.1 by default which causes battery drain because i never noticed touch freeze in lineage os 14.1.
Not sure but you may check it.

Thanks for reply. You are right. These are errors on logcat;
- Couldn't get kernel wake lock stats
- neither /proc/wakelocks nor /d/wakeup_sources exists
- power: Missing API
- no controller energy info supplied
- Failed to read uid_cputime
- Failed to read cpu-freq
- modem info is invalid
Im trying to figure it out how to solve these errors.
Just finished resurrection remix v5.8.5 nougat (7.1) build. I will test it when i went to home and share if boots.

Yes i am trying to upstream kitkat kernel and use it on lineage 14.1 becouse power related files are different in kitkat kernel. Maybe this will be a solition to serious battery drain.
Mokee rom not compiling. Resurrection remix rom compiled, flashed rom but home key and camera is not working.
And for last when ha3g (note 3 exynos) gets android 10 or 11 without importent bugs i will go back to work on android 10-11.

Nothing new but im compiling rom everyday with different settings;
Trying to fix battery drain, camera crash (when changing from front to back or back to front), call recording, screen wake up time on incoming calls.
Trying ha3g sources, klimtlte sources. Trying to take out yamaha audio config files out of the device sources for better compatibility with heigher version of android. Trying not to use prebuilt vendor files and compile them from source.
So im not abondoned the device, if i gave up i will let you know.
I will share a new 14.1 rom as soon as possible with better battery backup.

Its above my knowledge. But as far as i know we must have updated hardware related files to correctly cominicate with treble roms. We have a huge partition and its not using so we can use it as vendor partition. But our devices vendor specific driver files not comunicate correctly with newer android versions. Camera, call, bluetooth, wireless, audio files of our device are not up to date and not working with newer versions of android without effort and knowledge.
But if you can wait i will get in every aspects of rom development step by step. Im learning everyday new things.
Now im using resurrection remix rom on my hl3g, camera is not working but it will be fixed its just matter of time.
Then CrDroid and DotOS roms waiting to build. Stay tuned...

Hi everyone, i am currently building a weekly version (or monthly, depending on CyanogenMod fixes and patches) of CyanogenMod 12.1 for a while now, i thought i could share it with you, because peregrine cm-12.1 branch is no longer supported by CyanogenMod.
I made some little modifications to the framework, the device tree and the kernel, which you cand find in the source section.
For those who don't read at those stuffs, the changes are:
- Restored Ambient Display (and tuned a bit) and MotoDoze (wake gestures etc.), since the black screens have been fixed a while ago, this feature is now working correctly here on CM12.1
- Status bar date customizations
- Ability to hide SU icon on status bar (developer settings)
- KCAL support (adjust color contrast and saturation with this app: http://downloads.codefi.re/savoca/kcal)
- Proximity check on wake (disabled by default, you can enable it in Settings/Display), prevents accidental wake ups
- Dexpreopted
- Cyanogenmod's Screencast app from cm-13.0 branch
- Kernel security fixes from cm-13.0 branch
- PowerHAL updates from cm-13.0 branch
- General device tree updates from cm-13.0 branch
- LuK1337 gently found a fix for the GPS bug that forced you to erase modemst1 and modemst2 to make GPS work, so you won't need to do that anymore
- Updated all the libraries and apk/jar's from latest 5.1 build
- Updated Adreno libraries to 5.1 (Motorola is still using 5.0 ones on their 5.1 build)
- CyanogenMod fixed the soft reboots due to strictmode violations (https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/1e60f9b9ae10d46d028c19c90cf0f52d40ca620a), so this fix is of course included here, but is not included in the latest public snapshot for falcon on the CyanogenMod site, so this can be a reason of switching from that snapshot to this build.
- CM12.1 branch is pretty stable right now, so you shouldn't have any major problem

NOTE:
- Reported bugs without any useful logcat will just be trashed
- If you flash any CM12.1 custom kernel, you must flash this package: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B-xonQbKq2U2NEtIbXZaaEdCemM&usp=sharing
in order to downgrade your camera blobs from 5.1 to 5.0, if you don't this, the camera won't work ***
-- If, for any reason, you decide to go back to the kernel included in this ROM, you have to install again 5.1 camera blobs, the easiest way to do that is flashing the ROM .zip.
*** I updated camera blobs from the latest Motorola factory image, a kernel update was needed in order to make camera work after updating the blobs (that's not an hack, is a regular update from Motorola), but CyanogenMod dropped CM12.1 nightlies before doing this, so any CM12.1 based kernel doesn't contain that kernel update, that's why you need to downgrade camera blobs to 5.0.
I have to remind you that installing a custom kernel will break any future support by me
Hi fonz93. I am considering installing this version of CM12.1. I am curious about the Kernel. Have you implemented any changes other than the camera blobs stuff? I like to have Adreno Idler as it extends battery life a good deal for me.

No, i've just added few kernel security fixes and other minor fixes from cm-13.0 branch, the only external thing i've added is the KCAL support, i don't think i will add something more unless strictly required, sorry

That's cool. I'm on stock at the moment and it runs really stable. Not sure about honing to cm12.1 or cm13.
Thank you @fonz93!! I already loved CM10.2 you did for Huawei Y300, I really like your effort to make stable build for earlier versions when other devs change their focus to the last Android version
I'm currently on CM12.1 from beeto, can I have a brief excursus about difference with your build?
This build is made for stability, so it won't include the thousand of features that the other ROMs have, expecially in the kernel, i don't know which features the build are you referring to has, but you can find all the differences from the official cyanogenmod build in first post

Here's the rom I'm using http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/4g-development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-11-t3017616
Well, the build is 3 months old, it doesn't include many important fixes (one of them is the strict mode violation fix that causes soft reboots) and many kernel security fixes.
It has a custom kernel while i use a cyanogenmod based kernel plus some fixes backported from the cm-13.0 branch. For the ROM side differences read the first post
This ROM looks very well, but I miss some features.
1.- DT2S on LockScreen
2.- DT2S on NavBar
3.- Network Activity on StatusBar
4.- TaskManager on StatusBar
Everything else is OK. Thanks for your work, Go on!
I am now including in my folder (the one where you can download my CM12.1) a build of TWRP 3.0 wich slightly differs from the one in this forum, thanks to Gabriele M (which will probably be the official TWRP mantainer), the long time wait for wiping /cache and /system and the not responsive touch is fixed, i am not opening a new thread because once Dees_troy (TWRP developer) merges Gabriele M changes into the official peregrine device tree for TWRP, i will stop mantaining my version as it would have no difference from the official build.
Note: The kernel source used to build the TWRP recovery is this: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_motorola_msm8226/tree/cm-13.0, so it will work on every ROM, both Lollipop and Marshmallow.
sorry double post
I tried the rom, it's very fast and smooth.
I miss two things in particular:
1) switch network (2g/3g/4g) in quick settings (I really can't understand why CyanogenMod 12.1 doesn't have it, I've had this feature since CM7.2).
2) remove shutter sound when taking a picture.
I would love to have those features, but I would like to avoid installing Xposed modules.
Does anyone know why CM devs removed them in CM12/12.1?

It's not like they removed them, but the android source has changed so much that they couldn't just port the feature over the new version, no one came up with a working and bugfree patch on gerrit.
About the camera shutter, i don't know, it's not something i care that much, you can just get rid of it by installing a camera from play store

What is Omni?
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there. Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

Thanks for the information @tank0412 . I hope you and others Zenfone 5 Developers could bring us Bugless ROM. But Still Good job Mr.Tank0412
Great work by @tank0412 . RIL was a major bug. We have all major roms including Omni,CM,AICP,RR,PAC and AOSP. Hope all bugs are gone as soon as possible and someone comes up with MM kernel so that all of these can be upgraded.

Nope, there's no Backlight button bug on AEX 9.0 but there's bug on Lineage 16.0
XenonHD is the first Official custom ROM for ZE520KL and ZE552KL. It was stable and fast. But due to some reasons it received no updates and always remained 'Experimental'.
I found it to be capable enough for my daily driver.
Hope it changes this time around.

Are you talking about XenonHD 8.1? There's 8 experimental builds and 1 official as far as I know
But this one will receive Official tag in the future, Pie is still too "young" and this may take a while

I would recommend a clean flash just to be safe. But if you're gonna install Xenon, wait for a few days because the next update will require a clean flash. We're gonna use private keys on our ROMs, so the clean flash will be necessary to install the next update (after that you'll be able to update with a dirty flash like before). I think I'll release an update next week with November security patch, so that's why I'm holding it right now
And yeah, we have OTA!

The bug happens when playing any youtube video and all of the sudden the video zooms-in on any corner of the device so it ruins the watching experience....this bug is present in Nougat based builds of this rom for other devices and as i said everyone is affected....thats why i asked you if you had experienced this in this build....it could also be fixed from the main sources from the XenonHD Team and completly irrelevant today....

I think this was fixed a long time ago, I've used both XenonHD 8.1 from makorn and this one and never saw anything like that (I even used Xenon 8.1 on my Moto G falcon from 2013 and works great there too)
I thought of something completely different from that, but nevertheless: this bug don't occur on this ROM

We need to wait until LOS merges the new changes from November security patch (they will merge it tomorrow)
I don't know about Migrate because I've tested version 1.0.5 and it was giving some errors (as posted on their thread), so I don't know if today's release fixed those bugs
And good day to you!

Thanks for porting it bro
The ROM is amazing!
Wow, thanks bro
nice bro give me an awp:好:
i will test it...
How is this rom compared to aosip?
Nice job and thx.
So far so good, but It looks like the Auto Brightness doesn't work well.
Love this rom. Slim, fast, stable and excellent battery life!
Everything works as it should. Auto brightness could be a little more refined and proximity sensor would be nice too. If only we could get updated sources...
Only downside is I have to choose between this and AOSiP.
And OTA updates would be a killer feature for the future.
Great ROMs are coming for this great device.

Hey, awesome rom. Thank you!
Everything seems to be working perfectly, even got google pay up and running!
The only problem is that the Camera app keeps crashing when i try to open it. Anyone knows a fix for this?

I had that too the first time I installed the rom. Right after opening the app crashed. There were lots of process.media.android errors.
Did a clean install and after the installation I factory resetted. No problems since. Everything is fine. I'm using the latest BSG mod camera for the MI8.
Maybe this helps. I don't even know if the steps I took make any sense or if this affects the problem but it solved it for me.
@palaych: I have compared battery life between this rom and your AOSiP rom and there's a significant difference between the two.
I don't know if the stats are true but could you have a look into it?
First screenshot is Arrow OS, the second one is from AOSiP
I used the kernel that came with the rom, no customisations. All Google apps from the opengapps Pico package, no Magisk or other root.
Best regards
Kleinholzinferno
What are the differences in general ( features ) between the two ROMs ( ArrowsOS and AOSiP )?
Best regards.

I think they're pretty much the same regarding the possibility of customisation. Unlike some other ROMs that are adjustable to the last animation these two ROMs focus on (what I believe) are the most important features.
They're customizable but not bloated with settings. Which I think is nice.
All the features I use are there and working well.
Bluetooth hands free is finally working with Android pie
As my main camera I use the BSG Mod camera. Just Google it. Night mode works, portrait works too.
All other apps I use are Google standard and they're working flawlessly. Even Android Auto is useable.
So depending on your needs I'd say give them. both a try and decide. In my opinion you can't go wrong with any of them as they are both fast, stable, slim and have many nice setting to adapt the look and feel to your needs.
Hope this helps
Best regards
Kleinholzinferno
Thanks for your explanation.
I´m using AOSiP since last weekend and it´s like you described it. :good:
So, I´m curious on ArrowOS and I will give it a try.
The only thing I don´t understand is that @palaych is spending a lot of
time on developing two ( really good, but ) similar-looking ROMs.
Best regards.

Danke, dir auch!
As I said there are some differences but they are not as huge as between some other roms. The settings are a little different, the icons for some quick settings look different but all in all it's pretty equal.
What matter to me most is reliability and stability and both roms deliver!
I like the slim roms better. I had resurrection remix installed which is also a great rom btw but as I didn't use 75% of the settings it's pretty useless for me. Others may play around with animation styles and stuff but I don't so this is my favourite by now.

So, here is yet another thread for Lineage OS 16.0
I had been compiling this ROM for my personal use, but thought that I can share this with the community.
Description: This ROM is pure Lineage OS 16.0 as is without any changes done by me. And this simply means that I do know how to compile this ROM, but that's about it. I do not know how to add features to ROM's and hence please don't request me to add any features as such.
I am not a developer, so if you find any issues with the ROM then you will probably have to live with them (if you want to stay on this ROM) until LOS rectifies it and then I can offer a new build.
I have been using the ROM all the time and not faced much problems. I think it is stable enough and has been my daily driver for around 3 months now.
Download link is in the 2nd Post
Here's what's working:
Boots
RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
VoLTE
Fingerprint
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Camera
Audio
Sensors
Flash
LED
GPS
Hotspot
Selinux status - permissive
Flashing Instructions :
If flashing this ROM for the first time:
Download the latest build and GApps
Reboot to recovery
Make a backup of your existing ROM
Factory reset (Clean Dalvik, Cache, Data and System partitions)
Flash the latest build and then GApps
Reboot
If dirty flashing (over existing LOS 16.0)
Download the latest build
Reboot to recovery
Make a backup of your existing ROM
Flash the latest build
Reboot

1. I will try to release a build every month to update our beloved Kenzo to the latest security patches by Google.
2. Regarding your 2nd question bro ... as I said I am not a developer as such .... but if you give me more details than I think I may give you a better answer.
For now, I don't know if signaturespoofing is enabled.
Thanks for this build.
Came at a good time for me as I'm reinstalling my old kenzo to give to a friend to use.

Thanks, I did check the link you mentioned. I don't see LOS in the list of ROMs included, so I think it would be correct to say that Signature Spoofing is not enabled in this ROM.

If it's not then you can almost certainly use nanodroid patcher to enable it.
Just flash nanodroid patcher zip from twrp.

I also presume that the person who asked about this probably wants to run google-less using microg etc.
I manage to flash this rom on my Kenzo. I've always wanted to have the tap to wake and sleep function of LOS, just like on my OPO. Thanks for this man!

Yeah, you can kind of call it daily driver ... I have been using this ROM for the past 5 months ... all the functions that I need are functional and am happy
Battery life totally depends on the way you use your device ... it is for you to judge ... With my normal use on 4g network and data on all the time and all the apps kept to sync it lasts me for a day easily ... but may not for others
Thanks :good:
