Hello,
I have Lumia 635 with stared hard reset process. Phone was immediately turn off after start reset. If exsists any method to cancel it ?
If not, there is any way to recover contacts from this phone ? (Backup probably was not set up)
Hello, you can recover your contacts by logging in to outlook.com with your user credentials in a webbrowser. Then you may export your contacs e.g. in a csv file. That will not work, if you did not register your phone.

Hi all, I had to hard reset my XdaIIi, but I had previously set the permanent save on my contacts, but when it finished setting up I tried to retrieve the contacts but it didnt work
I've also had the phone syncronised with my PC and have the past three partnerships still on it, is there anyway I can retrieve my contacts?
thanks
Whenever I've done a hard reset of my stuff, I've just done an ActiveSync before resetting it or flashing the ROM... When I've got my phone back to working order again on a fresh installation, I've just ActiveSynced again, and bingo - all my contacts, files, calendar, AvantGo files have appeared with no problem.
To do that, I've just set up a new full relationship, and ActiveSync has taken care of the rest. The only thing I've had to backup myself has been my SMSes... Of course, if you didn't have your Contacts selected as one of the things to synchronise with your PC every time you synced, you're straight outta luck.
Hi rmurph17,
 you are not straight outta luck
Do the following if u have already Synced your XDA with outlook before resetting:
1. Delete all your partnerships from your PC's ActiveSync without pluging the XDA
2. Once deleted all partnerships, put ur XDA on cradle which is already connected to PC
3. PC will ask for a new partnership, tell it what do u want to sync and from where & which account e.g. Outlook
It will start syncing once it made the partnership.

... So basically, what I said (see my original reply: " I've just ActiveSynced again, and bingo - all my contacts, files, calendar, AvantGo files have appeared with no problem") - I assumed you'd tried deleting your old ActiveSync partnerships from your PC via the ActiveSync software before attempting to resync again.
Have problem with contacts
I had use Nokia 9210i and use Outlook + plaxo (plaxo.com) to manager contacts.
I have around 10.000 contacts with full detail (numbers, email, website, extra information)
Now I change to XDA mini S and discovered that they can not do the same thing as N9210i.
Just about one forth of my contacts Syns from PC, the Programe Memory of XDA is full.
I am asking many person, searching site to site but no one have same problem.
Everyone, who have experien, please advice me:
1. Can I store the contacts file in SD card but not on the fone (Programe Memory)
2. if 1 not avaiable, Can I expand Program Memory more than 64M?
Thank you so much for help me.

Hello,
in an attemp to syncronize my htc tytn II with outlook 2007, I ran into a problem 80510014 saying something about profile mismatching.
After several atemps, I ended up in deleting my profile on my mobile device, hoping that it only deletes the setting.
Uffff, after a few seconds ...I had lost my contacts and everything else.
is there a method i could restore my contacts ??
thank you.
are the contacts on your computer/outlook?
forgot to mention, contact were not sincronized due to that error
main question here is: is there an option to un-delete the contacts once they were deleted by removing the profile ?
i believe once u've deleted off the phone its not possible to get it back...unless u used pim to backup before hand? i accidently did that as well because my AS did not work so i had to delete the partnership or whatever and it deleted all the contacts/appointments on my phone...but because i sync it everyday i have everything on my laptop so i just had to sync it back
When I set up the HD7 phone the first time coming from the box, I don't recall of entering any WP7 activation key. I think it only asked for the windows live ID and after that everything went smooth. I gave this phone as a b-day gift to my daughter. She is out of town now for college.
My question, what if happen if for some reason she requires to hard reset the phone. I am reading a lot from forums that once you hard reset the phone or other WP7 phone in general you'll need to enter the activation key again. I understand that I can get the key from Microsoft by calling anytime for that key.
I could be wrong and I totally forget it but during the initial setup process did the phone really ask for that activation key? If yes, where do you think I found it? In the box? I need to tell my daughter to look for it so I can save it for future use.
you don't need an activation key. you only need the key for the hd2 because its not registred as an wp7 phone.
You don`t need activation key but your a lost all data make you first sync wiht you computer and do hard reset
Yes, I understand that I will lose all my data once hard reset. The contacts probably got saved in the windows live account. I can just export to csv and import to load it back.
Thank you!

once you hard reset, when you turn the phone on it will ask you to setup your windows live account, my contacts are on my windows live account so at the first sync it will load all my contacts back, you do not need to export to CSV format anymore... i beleive its goes same for the google address book if you are keeping your contacts there..
Hi Every one
good evening...... This is my first time here and heard a lot about this forum and i have a problem with my HTC incredible S phone where the new contacts are getting saved however when try to retrieve the newly added contacts say after a week it is not there and i have lost a lot of very important number and i cannot find any logical solution with this issue and i recently updated the ios to ICS4 and previously it was gingerbread
please give me a solution to the problem or guide me to the site where the solution is available
thank you in advance
Well that's a weird problem... Try this: Recreate every single contact in one go and export them in a v-card file (that's the way, I backup my contacts - it's easy to backup and restore) after saving the file try a factory reset and import contacts after it. This could help u, but be sure that a factory reset will wipe out all your data on your phone (except SD-card).
It could also be something to do with your settings..
wen you create a a contact you could be saving it to your gmail account & your phone may be displaying the contacts on your phone.
and vice-verse. you could be saving to your phone & set display contacts to gmail account.
i do not think it is possible for you to just loose the contacts

i did check it and all the contacts face book g mail phone sim everything is getting displayed
well if it is synced to google, log in to your gmail account & goto 'contacts'
see if the missing contacts are there.. if they are then there could be some problem with the phone (highly unlikely)
I've got a Nokia 635 that has all of the contacts saved to the AT&T Addressbook, which is of course offline and purged since March 2017. As far as I can tell, there is no way to switch where the contact is being stored (i.e. change from the AT&T Addressbook account to an Outlook.com account) without recreating the contact from scratch. Since there are hundreds of contacts stored in this phone, I need a solution to extract this data.
So, I guess what I'm looking for is:
1. Is there any way to extract these contacts into a CSV file?
2. Is there a way to switch which account the contact is stored in (i.e. change AT&T Addressbook to Outlook.com)?
Even if I have to extract it onto my computer and then modify it from there, at least it's off the phone. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Thanks. Hadn't heard of that one before, but will give it a try.
