Basically getting between 3 - 5 hours of screen on time at 2k and 90hz. 5 hours is when I have the battery saver enabled and barely do anything. 3 is normal usage. Just wondering what you guys are doing to get more sot like installing certain apps, making certain tweaks etc.

Thanks for sharing that link. I am also looking for tips for improving SOT. Can you guys give me your suggestion here for which apple gadgets for studying is the best? I want to buy it but I can't choose them. I will be thankful to you if you help me by giving me ideas.
That guide it's kinda bad in a way cause it's remove most of the phone features but the intentions are good and it's gonna get you a little more battery life. The most impact on the battery it's the refresh rate.
If you can try flashing AOSP rom. For me AOSP have better battery life and good stability even if they aren't that many updates.

Hi,
I have been using the MUI rom for atleast the two to three weeks and also bought the 3500mah battery as well. but still i am getting the battery about 8 hrs maximum with medium usage.
can anyone suggest me the better rom with better battery stats.
Thank you.
This thread might be closed since there is no best. My advice is use a i897 rom. They tend to offer better battery life in genera. Calibration is always a good idea and a few days to let it settle.

For battery use that bad you need help managing the battery use, it's not necessarily the ROM. You need a good program to analyze your battery use and figure out how you can make it better. I suggest you use BetterBatteryStats and go from there.
Can anyone suggest me the best kernel for battery life in your opinion?
Im not looking for feature, just performance and battery life..
Thanks before..

Had you followed the rules you would have found that it all depends on your personal setup. The apps you have installed, settings you have set up, Area you live in and even how you use your device all effect your battery.
A search would have told you to try them all out and make up your own mind.
Hey guys, just picked up the nexus six and am writing this all out on it right now so excuse any errors. I just have a few questions about what to expect from rooting this device/Roms in general. Roms for the device anyways...
So I've heard encryption slows the phone down by about a 50% mark and am curious as to peoples experiences before and after decryption. Does it truly feel to you that your device is 100% faster? If so, what makes you say that? The phone feels plenty fast to me at the moment, but I'm always interested in a little more...
I've also heard about the horrible battery life of the phone being caused by a sensor_Ind wake lock, among other things like the large screen and resolution. Has anyone experienced long enough to prove its not placebo, a noticeable, or even dramatic increase in battery life because of a ROM/kernel/theme. If so, what ROM/kernel/theme helped you the most?
And lastly, has anyone tried any of the more experimental mods out there on this device? Such as adding multiwindow, or blinkfeed? If so, how did it work out for you?
I'll be trying a lot of stuff while here so I'm just curious to ask the others out there how things have gone so far for them.
I am stock rooted and still encrypted, and phone is plenty fast for me. I have never unencrypted, so I can't compare the two. Currently I'm running Franco's r10 and the battery drain in deep sleep is incredibly small, and it is smooth as can be. He has done a good job on this kernel. I don't really have an issue with the sensor_ind causing excessive battery drain, but I don't monitor that kind of stuff constantly. I have uninstalled my battery monitor apps, as I find I don't need them because my phone will last me a couple days on 1 full charge.. If my battery life takes a dump, then I'll re-install them and take a look.
Is encryption worth it? A couple days is a sweet statistic though. I'll have to root soon and throw some stuff at my phone, hopefully grab one of the odexed Roms that are available as I tend to lean towards em
So far battery life to me is about 4 hours sot which isn't horrid. And I like the speed but the jitters on occaision bug me. I love the touch response on this display though feels like butter
As simple as the name states.
Just looking for which rom is stable, fast, and has long battery life.
By battey life, I mean SOT, not overall usage, since I'm using the phone mainly for Vainglory (Droid Turbo is my main driver, with a Note2 & M7 as extras for whatever I need them for (Currently use M7 for slickdeals & backup phone since I'm on T-Mobile, and the Note 2 was my main Vainglory phone, but also use it for Kik & 2nd Facebook, but would like to have the M8 be my Vainglory phone as it is a bit faster, and I'm too lazy to root the Note and install a custom rom on it. I hate Samsung. lol)
So yeah, I need to know which rom is easy on the battery enough for me to get a few hours of SOT with Vainglory

The battery life will be about the same on every Rom when you are pushing its cpus to the max, which is what Vainglory does. It's a great game, and all but it is a battery hog no matter the Rom you use. Just find a Rom you're comfortable with and use that! hope that helps you!
Guys,
Just received my tablet and I am thinking about immediately swapping the stock ROM for a custom ROM but I am wondering what is the battery life comparison. I have seen benchmark comparisons which look ok (i..e slightly faster via custom ROM) but I have not seem battery life comparisons.
Specifically, because this is more a casual use tablet, I am more interested is how long the device will last when its not used, rather than on-screen time with stock versus custom, but any advise as to what is the best option. So, has anyone done battery comparisons with the various ROM's available?
Thanks
Jerome

Hey Jerome! I'm running slim ROM and the battery is amazing! It's way better than stock because all of the amzon crap is gone so its not draining the battery.
I'm a casual user on this too and only really use it in the evenings for light web browsing and a few games. The battery easily lasts me three or four days before I have to plug it again.
When the screens off and its in idle it only drains about 1% every five hours! I thought it was broken at first because I'm so used to my phones battery draining.
I don't use any power saver apps or anything. I originally had greenify, wakelock detector and better battery stats ready in case of drainage when the screen was off but deleted all of them as they were uneeded!
I'd def go custom rom! Really recommend slimrom its great!
Cm12 is great too and the battery was good on that, its just better for me on slim!
Sorry if this was a well long answer!
