Hello.
I just buy a pixel 5 mainly as a phone with good camera processing quality.
I'll also like to use a custom rom lineageOs or proton.
My main goal here is to get a light/rooted/ with autoupdate rom.
So long story short, is anyone have tested stock vs thoses custom rom and can tell me what about the camera quality (is the camera processing in inside official pixel 5 camera apk ? in the firmware ? in the kernel ?)

im abit confused as there are so many roms listed in the t-mobile section AND the general lg g4 section which ALSO seems to be for H811?
I'm mainly looking into the most stable, fastest rom that has the best RAW camera support. And I understand that if I were to stick with stock based roms (eg. Imperium) that would be best, but at the same time it is not nougat. And if I want Nougat, I can go with Lineage OS or Dirty Unicorns, however would they lose RAW camera support (how is the quality?).

thats prety much it you got it all down.
but i think i heard that lightroom mobile camera has raw / also check for proshot camera see if it takes waw pics. search for stock CM picture quality i posted a pic with stock based and dirty unicorns somewhere.
I don't think the problem is with Nougat; instead the problem is with using a camera app that doesn't use the Camera2 API. I just tried taking some RAW shots with Open Camera on Lineage 14.1 and it seems to work fine.

How did you unlock?
If you want that camera quality you'll have to choose a lg based rom
Try freedom or despacito...I think only they are only nougat lg ROMs.... Rest will be marshmelllow lg based
Yes any other custom ROM camera quality won't be as good
Hi everyone, i'am a big fan of this device and the stock based EUI ROMs, the only problem is that in every rom i tried based on EUI 5.9.xx the HDR function of stock camera does nothing! Take pictures but as in normal mode...no HDR is applied!
I want to use EUI but camera is too important to me;
Is there someone that knows how to port stock 5.8.xx camera or the MIUI camera on latest EUI ROMs?

You can use pixel experience rom with hardrock pie kernel for best performance and battery life along with gcam support
I've tested tonns of roms for Max 2 and now I'm on stock developer ROM with root and latest kernel from Hard_Rock. If you want gcam then install it using root, if you want smth else - then you can also install it via root.
This is my opinion of the best for this phone.
ArrowOS is most stable ROM currently. Using that paired with Hard Rock's latest Pie kernel will give you the best build. Pixel's Gcam is already baked into the firmware as well so you won't need to flash the modded Gcam like before.

HERE THERE ARE FEW SCENARIOS:
a) IF U WANT TO UPGRADE TO NEW ANDROID VERSION AND U DON'T HAVE ISSUE DEALING WITH IN CALL VOLUME(oreo was joke):
Here are best pie roms:
1) for well round best balanced rom with balanced extra features go for arrow
2) for best plain and simple roms almost like stock , go for pixel experience or lineage
3) if u want huge extra features and u like to play with more and more features then go for havoc
** Kernel should be hardrock v1.6 for pie .great backup with speed even beats flagship devices in normal performance
b) IF U DONT WANT EVEN ONE SINGLE BUG AND DONT MIND STUCK AT NOUGAT THEN:
1) Best will be miui since no bugs, best sounds, everything is fine..you can choose between different miui modded roms..every rom is almost same
2) if u r custom rom lover then go for lineage 14.1 enforcing..best simple rom yet in nougat or Xenonhd (remarkable) which is best overall quality and media with customisations.
**Kernel always be hardrock kernel since top notch performance and huge control over kernel..u can get maximum out if ur device lol.

I also tried many roms and now I am back to lineage 14.1 with stock kernel. almost bug less and less customisation with super smooth

Hiii....just unlock the redmi note 10 pro and installed pixelos also tried pixel experience the only one thing custom rom lacking is sound quality compared to stock i want to know which custom rom can bridge the gap between custom and stock rom in terms of sound quality???

Your query itself is vague.
What sound quality you talking about and how is it different?
You can always install sound mods if you want btw.

Hello everyone, im using the arrow os android 11 rom and i was thinking about upgrading to android 12 now that we have already some official options that look stable and reliable.
Im looking for the one that can give me the most stability, smoother experience and best battery life. Which one do you advise? Also is it worth it to install a costum kernel or is the one providaded with the rom better?

I installed quite a few custom roms on note 7 lavender, but only with Android 13. All a13 versions had a problem with the camera... the camera random freezes and is very annoying. I wonder if the A11,12 is a better camera experience. And maybe there is a custom rom with miui camera preinstalled? thanks
