I am running the Rog Phone 3 Tencent version with the CN SKU, its all in English and Google Play etc....looks like the below will work for me if I manually install, right ?

Hi all
I can indeed confirm this is the version to manually install if you are on Tencent device with CN finger print.
Much of the Chinese gunk is now gone too....
How... Ive been trying and it just fails to update.
Download to root folder and restart phone when check for update... That's all I did
Tried but it just fails when i click on the notification
Have you previously had a custom rom and then reverted back or is the phone stock.
My CN version is the Tencent one, which is using the official CN software (Obiwan) and it's number matches the number for the software posted.
If you are the same then I'm not sure why it's not working, hopefully someone on here can help.

you have the same issue like mine, my phone also is a tencent that has WW software, so all updates are manual, you need to download the latest update per build number, have done around 3 updates to reach android 11, and so on for 12

can you explain more any build you mean ? cuz I have the same room number and I never update it for 2 years
Any news about this? I have same build number and same problem. Tecent games on the back of the phone but ww software. Still not able to update after 2 years.

Yes, providing the fingerprint is WW you can go ahead directly to 1908.25. You can check the fingerprint with the app device info hw from playstore, it'll show under system

My bootimage fingerprint shows WW, but my vendor fingerprint shows CN... Does that mean mine still has the CN fingerprint?

Yes, yours have CN fingerprints. you need to follow the guides in this forum to convert the fingerprints to WW before you are able to get official Asus WW updates to work on your device.

I didnt try yet, but according to what reg66 says, if you have WW rom and WW fingerprints (very important to have WW fingerprint) then you can download official latest WW ROM from Asus website and put it in root directory of your phone and restart the phone to update normally.
i've bought a used phone recently that has a bit of problem i've noticed that the phone's firmware doesn't match the model also the bootloader seems to be different too when i try to software update it doesn't work it says ( Your current sofware version isn't supported visit a service center.

MrMike is correct.
You say "current version" yet they are all different variants, for which we can't advise what filmware you need. It should only be one variant, not 3...
As your phone is a marriage of parts, updating it may brick the phone.
Stick with it or get a full refund.
Hi, bought this tencent edition flashed to global rom off-market. Unfortunately, it doesnt get OTA updates so I'm currently stuck on android 9. I have read some guides on how to convert CN to WW, china to global, tencent to global, etc., but I'm afraid I might end up bricking my phone if I try to tinker with my phone without any background. Any help on how to proceed would be great. Just want a way to update to android 10, getting OTA updates would be a bonus. Here's the system info:

Go through all steps
I currently have a tencent edition ROG Phone 2. I changed it to the global rom and changed the fingerprint to WW. The step by step instructions are pretty easy to follow, I think. I haven't had a problem with it since. I am current using a global Android 10.
Same here bought the tencent set and convert to global rom. Just follow the instruction, watch the video at YouTube, read the whole procedure over and over again, proceed only when you are confident enough

Is your bootloader unloacked? If you have unlocked your bootloader, you can flash the EEA rom or Global rom or flash TWRP and install a Xiaomi.eu rom. All of those allow for regional changes in setup.
I'd advise you to just get the Xiaomi.EU Rom. Just pick the Stable one IMO

Is there no way to resolve it without flashing the ROM? I am little apprehensive about flashing the ROM as I have not done the before
Have you tried more locale 2 app from play store? If not, you give it a try

It's the version of GMS that gets installed by some shops before shipping. It doesn't have location tracing and a few others and really is not much use if you are outside China. As others have said, get your bootloader unlocked, wait the 168 hours and change over to the EU ROM. I got a work around. Just created a new Gmail I'd and now everything is working fine

Glad you have found a way around your country settings. You may well find other shortcomings in the mini GMS too. Only resolution is to flash a full GMS included ROM. But as long as your needs are catered for, it's all good.

do you mean the automatic updates in the system? you can manually update your phone by downloading the latest firmware (Make sure to select WW version if your phone is global) in the official site and saving it in the root folder (Just inside the internal storage) and it will be detected by your phone, if not just restart your phone (you can see in the notification that the phone detects a new update)
I've already tried it gives an error! Maybe I should go through another lower version first?

I try raw version and have android 10 ,but still have display issue, when unlocking.
