Hi,
I have managed to install TWRP using Odin on my S20 FE SM-G781B (r8q). I installed twrp-3.5.2_10-4_afaneh92-R-r8q, but recovery is showing External Sdcard (0MB). TWRP does not read/detect any SD Card, no matter what file system is on the card (FAT, exFAT).
Is there any solution to this?
there's no solution currently. it does pick up OTG connections so have a card in an adaptor or a pen drive to take backups or store files you want to flash. internal still works fine too.
Thanks for the answer. So I have to wait patiently for the solution. I will try OTG connection.

I just tried a backup to internal storage and TWRP rebooted twice on 2 attempts. it looks like it's OTG only for now. plus backups are HUGE!

I wanted to root my butterfly s so I unlocked the bootloader and then flashed cwm recovery through flashboot.next I wanted to install root.zip but when I attempt to do this it tells me that it cannot mount sd card .please note that this is the internal sd card. Any ideas?
Well, I guess 93 people didnt know the solution, I do. Its an issue with the CWM version since it is the first version out. I flashed TWRP with fastboot and it works perfectly fine. Hope this information helps people who are facing the same issue.
Thanks anyway!

I had a lot of bugs with CWM recovery, only 6.0.3.4 version worked with SD card formated in FAT32.

Yes, I saw that solution everywhere on the Internet but my issue was that I don't have an SD card and I don't know if the internal SD can be formatted to fat32?

I didn't have issues with internal SD on CWM 6.0.3.4, I had with external SD, which wasn't formatted in FAT32. However, TWRP is more stable and I prefer it more than CWM.
Hi All,
My phone seems to be stuck on the recoevry. The message shown on the screen
"Huawei software is installing
DONOT press powerkey or ....
"
And here is what I did :
I has installed TWRP recoevry, and wanted to re-install stock-recovery
With fastboot, I flashed the stock recovery.
copied b133 dload into the sdcard
And after that, booted into the recovery (with long press vol+ / vol- and Power)
And now, the thing is stuck there.
Thank you, if you have any idea of how to recover the thing.
It was due to my sdcard.
I was able to flash the stock rom with another SDCard. The one that didn't work is a 64GB from Sandisk.

Good to hear you worked it out. I think the limit for the P7 is 32GB.

No the P7 has 64GB microSD compatibility, technically it should have worked anyway but the recovery might not be compatible with large SD cards. Or his SD card might just have been either improperly formatted or broken.
You can use every size of sdcard! You only have to Format it fat32. 64/128gb no Problem. Booth sdcards work with twrp.
In the moment i use a 64gb sandisk sdcard in my p7 because my 128gb is in my car.
I think you have to re-format your card and then put the update.APP in dload folder in root of your sdcard.

I used the same Sandisk 64GB to flash new b135 ROM without any problem. The difference is this time, the recovery is launched from "Updater" directly from the phone (I didn't reformat the card for there are a lot of contents copied already).
:crying:Can anybody help me..plz?? I have a sd card of 32 gb Samsung evo class 10...today i remove the sd card from my phone(obviously after switch off) and insert in pc to take a game(amazing spiderman 2). But,then i insert the sd card in my k3 and turn on...the phn becomes damn slow...and the sd card storage is not showing..now the phn's speed is ok...but it still did not show the sd card...plz help...using aosp lemonade v3 rom...
Later I tried different SD cards...but none of them got detected. I also format the SD card. But,still the problem persists...now plz help me,plz...
I will suggest you to wipe everything and install a stock rom, vibeui or row, and if it still doesn't detect cards than probably it is a hardware thing.

I had Limonchello Mod 5.0, first off the Blutooth, then the Wi-Fi stopped, then the SD-Card Issue.
I fortunately had a backup, so via TeamWin re-installed Limochello, then again the SD Card issue.
You have to go to Mount, and be sure that the SD-Card is mounted in TeamWin, helped me in the end.
And I don't think this is necassary to say:
Backup everything 1st.
Shut Down, HOLD Volume Up and DOWN and POWER until entering to Teamwin.
Check if SD-Card is mounted in options, in MOUNT.... Reboot.
Cheers, hope it helps.
EDIT:
Be sure to when restarted, Settings, Storage - try to Mount the SD Card if it's now availible. Restart again.
Cheers.
Another thing you could try is to have the SD Card in your phone, and via USB connect to PC, see if it'll find your Phone and SD Storage...
Rock and Roll!!!
I guess it's a recovery issue. I have the same problem. My sdcard shows when I connect phone to PC. My CWM recovery has been acting strange lately. It gave me a bootloop when I tried to flash gapps and sdcard is not mounted, when I try to mount it gives me an error. I am going to flash stock ROW ROM and recovery to get back my warranty soon so it doesn't matter.
There is no physical switch. I've tried many application software in windows and linux but yet still not working. I think the last time I can modify the mircro sd card content is where I make deletion and copying on the phone mode. After I formatted the phone to, the micro sd card is no longer content-editable. I've tried format but not working. Before I format the phone, its OS is lolipop and I upgraded to nougat. Lost the ability to copy file after upgrading. Downgrading back still not working

What phone are you using, what's the model?
Were you rooted on Lollipop?
If so did you reroot after upgrading to Nougat?
Are you on a custom ROM or have a custom recovery?
What's the file system currently on the MicroSD card?
What file manager application are you using that is not allowing you to copy/edit files on the Micro SD card?
Are sure nothing can write to the Micro SD card, have you tried loading a Terminal app to get things command line, or another file manager application?
Last thing I can think of, is can you take the Micro SD card out and put it into a computer and see if it will format?
Could be randomly the SD card just died when you were upgrading? Usually when my cards go, it's around when I'm doing an OS load... For whatever reason. I've killed 3 Micro SD cards in the last 7 years.

I use samsung galaxy y s5360. I did rooted my device by upgrading to lolipop. I delete all partition when I downgrading back to lolipop from nougat. I think the system is in the phone itself. Any file manager I try they say success but after I double checked the files gone, I'm on custom ROM. I have taken the micro sd out and format it in windows env or linux env with higher permission. If the microsd card when upgrading then there's nothing I can do?

Do you have a custom recovery like TWRP? Are you able to boot into the custom recovery and use the file manager in there to see if it can read and write. That's outside of the OS and if it can write to the Micro SD then that means the phone is good hardware wise. If not, try formating inside of the recovery then try file manager. Again o ly if you have a custom recovery will this work.
If you're able to write to the Micro SD card in recovery, then maybe the issue is with the custom ROM? Have you tried going back to the factory firmware and see if the SD card works? That's probably where I would go to start first, since downgrading you're still having problems.
If you've pulled it out and put it in a computer, you can format and write files to it... That's a good sign that it can be written to, at least it means the Micro SD card is function.

Sorry I've tried tested on Clockworkmode recovery v5.0.2.8 but still not working. It return success but still have the previous content. I'm not sure whether this means the micro sd card is encrypted . I've tested in on PC but not work at all.

My apologies I thought it was successful on the PC.
If you try it in a computer and you can not do anything to the cars, then more than likely there is something wrong with the card. At this point I would try another Micro SD.
If it was encrypted you would not be able to see any files on it in recovery. Plus if you are in your recovery (Clockworkmode) and not able to format/partition the Micro SD in there, problems.
Because with the encryption the phones do, you can still delete partitions and repartition and format the Micro SD. Would lose all of your files of course, but would make the card usable again. Trust me I've done that a few times, encrypted then the phone would crash... And the card was locked until repartitioned and formated.

Sounds like it from everything you tried. Wish I had better news. But I have found when you can not repartition the card, especially on a PC, it's done for. Whatever the reason. That's why I I ly deal with Samsung or Kingston branded cards. Those are the ones I've had the longest and haven't failed, being used on multiple devices over the years.

You have to first Flash TWRP Recovery From Odin
Then go to Wipe And Press Format Data And Type Yes
Then your Internal storage will be able to mount while connected to the PC
And you can now drag zips to your Internal via PC
