I have a 6 Gb / 128 Gb Black Shark 2 Global Model: SKW-HO gave me problems with the charging center after a power drop, when I connected the original charger the charging port and the usb cable was heating up, try to fix the problem by buying and installing a new Charging Flex. Here started the worst when I made the change the cell phone turned on but the starter was very slow something abnormal then the system gave me a message of humidity in the charging connector, from that moment my cell phone went off and now no longer turns on or with the Flex original loading.

hi guys,
when i power on my kaiser (with the stock rom) and the phone gets to the welcome screen i can hear a dead battery sound and the phone powers itself off. tried hard reset, flashing a new rom, changing radio, buying a new battery, charging battery using charger wires..nothing seems to work . If i flash a new rom like wm 6.5 the phone shows me radio version, protocol version and rom version ( R G D ), the light dim's and the phone shuts down.
when i connect the charger a yellow led turns on..i left the phone charging for one whole day but the light is still yellow
any solutions? thanx in advance
go look for the exe file called powerdetect.exe this is a small program listed in the TytN II service manual that is used to check the battrey health. I suspect the batt needs to be replaced.
the battery is ok. i've tried with several batteries and the result is the same
What charger are you using? Motorola v9 charger wont do. I had similar power off issue when starting up a unused unit. Only able to charge with original charger 5v 1000ma. OR try charging it through the PC USB port. If you have a notebook, just leave it in sleep mode for overnight charging
I've got a similar problem but usually when i make or accept calls the phone switches off
My phone is a Kaiser 130 which runs on 5 volts but the battery i got with it (bought it on ebay) is Kais 160 which runs at 3.7 volts???? Also the mains charger i got with phone is a 5v.
I just did a power test using the program below till the battery was dead and then plugged into my laptop to recharge and within 2 mins battery is up to 72%???
can anyone who has a Kaiser 130 from new tell me the original battery voltage and code please
power detect download is here if anyone wants to download

every kaiser has a 3.7 volts battery..are you sure the phone turns off when you make or receive a call? My guess is that only the screen turns off (sleep mode - same as pressing the red button) because your ear can touch the screen and acces random menus etc

are you sure? ..'cause i spent a lot of money on a new original battery later to find out that the problem isn't from my battery..don't want to do the same with the flex cable..i found one around 40 €
which flex cable are you talking about? Do you have a second unit that you can do a part swap to see if it is actually the cable issue?

the main flex cable, which connect the two parts. Unfortunately i don't have a second unit..
Hi Giany,
had a battery problem not the same as yours by the sounds of it but solved it by installing the orange shipped rom which comes with radio.
might be worth a try.
good luck

already tried with no result. thanks for the answer
I have the same issue... .-(
The phone just switches off completely with any hint of longer usage (phone call longer than 1 min or so, garmin mobile xt barely makes to searching of satellites). I use original stock ROM.
Unused (no phone calls) it can last for two days. I have tested it with brand new/unused prepaid sim.
I took it to authorized HTC service center, but unfortunately they do not support it any more due to lack of parts.
Anybody else have this issue? Or clue to what might be wrong. I really love this phone…

ok..so i disconnected the flex cable from the mainboard and I connected the speaker and the battery. I powered on the phone, waited for like 30 seconds and i heard the dead battery sound..could it be a short-circuit on the mainboard or this is normal?

Hi,
I have the same problem. Do you know how to fix it?
Tks,
Tonny
Same / Similar Problem
I have the same (or at least quite similar) problem here. Only with me, I think it's the micro USB port that needs changing. There is two visible cracks which maybe stopping the flow of electricity.
When I plug it into a charger, either wall or to my PC, it turns on fine, and can stay on aslong as it's plugged in. (sort of makes it like a desktop then, doesn't it ). The problem is that it doesn't charge.
I am using ahmed fikry's 6.5 Kaiser ROM but do not seem to have had any problem with it so far. I also run Ubuntu and Android through HaRet.
replacing the flex cable worked for me..i found one at about 30€. Hope this helps
My Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini SM-G800F phone increase temperature on charging process in top side of phone near speaker. After 30-60 minutes of charging temperature is about 70°С (I check via hands). And temperature stay high after charging is finished (if I keep cable inserted at 10 hours - after 10 hours I disconnect and see that phone is hot).
Is it normal? Can other owners of this phone report here - you have this problem too?
I have SM-G800H model and have not experienced this yet.
Are you working with the phone while it is charging? Is the screen on?
Are you using original samsung charger & cable?

I dont belive it gets so high, cause at 70 degrees you can burn your skin (epidermal necrolysis after 1 second in this temp).
My device is laying on the table connected to charger more that one hour ant its much cooler than carried in a pocket, so there are two options.
1. your device is broken - then you need to replace it
2. you are running some heavy application in the background, maybe dont even know about it

Yes, I think it is lower that 70 degrees (maybe 40-50), I have no thermometer, but it very hot sometimes. After upgrade firmware to new version seems that temperature is lower (but not like around), so I think that this is software problem.

I had the same problem with my brand new phone. The phone was getting really hot and would also discharge quickly.
I took it back and claimed warranty and they replaced my phone with a brand new one.
They told me that the problem, most likely has to do with the processor.
Hi everyone,
I'm really hoping someone can help me.
I have a Samsung galaxy tab s2 8inch. It is the SM-T710.
It was working fine playing music on a Bluetooth speaker system then the battery died.
Tried to charge it and it was acting funny, said it was charging then got to one or two percent and i attempted to power on while the device is on charge and it powered on then turned off within a few seconds.
Let the tablet charge for a while now and its not really going up and the screen has gone off and its not turning on and i now notice its getting really hot at the bottom part of the screen slightly above the home button.
Removed the charger and left it for one hour, then came back and tried with a different new genuine Samsung charger and cable, and still getting extremely hot within a few 5 - 10 seconds just above the home button.
Unplugged it and left it till the next day and attempted to charge it again same thing.
I though it could be either: A faulty battery or A faulty Micro USB charging port flex (possibly short circuiting).
Now Ive opened up the whole device and taken apart every item on the mother board following a tear down video on YouTube.
I then connected a brand new genuine battery to the board and removed the old one, and the device was still overheating however this time i could pin point the exact source of heat on the motherboard which i will circle on an image but cant attach to this post as i need ten posts.
The images are on my public google drive but i cannot share the links here any ideas?
I then thought the micro USB charging port flex is causing a short circuit and so i completely disconnected that and the overheating problem still occurred.
Then i disconnected each and every component one by one and still the same thing on the motherboard keeps overheating excessively within seconds of connecting the battery to the motherboard.
Now Ive completely removed the motherboard from the frame and Ive connected the battery to it and same overheating issue.
Now Ive reconnected just the micro USB charging port back to the motherboard and attempted to plug a charging cable into the port and exactly the same thing still overheating excessively.
I really do not want to replace my motherboard simply because of the data on the device etc.
Can someone please tell me what the red circled item is in my image so i know what is overheating!
Could it be the CPU?
Is there ANY other way to replace JUST that part, even in china? Can anyone advise or help me?
Many thanks to the people who patiently read this and helped.

+1
I guess the motherboard got corrupted
First off, do not boot up an almost empty device. Second, it is entirely normal that the bottom area (charging port, home button etc) gets hot while charging. It will fade after the battery got some essential energy. Third, do not deplete the battery completely, if possible. In the long run it may damage the longevity of the battery.
Was there ever a solution to this issue? I'm having the same problem.
I bought these together and today I tried the charging time by depleting the battery and do a full charge with the 20W wireless charger, the charging time is 120 something minutes, which is far from the official number of about 90 minutes, or 100 minutes from some reviewer.
I used the power adapter that came with the wireless charger, which has 27W, and plugged into 6 outlets power strip (totally 3 are in use). The phone is a Chinese version with Chinese ROM, 6GB+128GB. The phone was drained and turn on after charging start, and no explicit apps were launched, other than the system one.
I don't know if this is the charger problem or the phone battery, I wrote to Xiaomi but have not heard back.
Could be a subpar cable, do you get good speeds plugging directly into the charger with it?
If you have a case or ring grip or anything inbetween your phone and the pad that might be impacting speeds
Also placement is really important, you wanna center the ring on the screen on the pad as closely as possible
Probably not an issue as you got the charger with the pad but a thread in "XIAOMI MI 9 ACCESSORIES" I can't link to describes how there are fake chargers out there too
My unit is the tencent 128 gig version..May charging port is overheating within 5 seconds after inserting any charger. Tried factory reset but the problem still persist. I've been using the stock charger. Now I'm using the side port for charger. Anyone who experienced this?
I haven't had that problem. Is it only the port on the bottom of the phone or does the one on the side do it also?
You may have a bad unit.

I also started getting that error since today morning... It's quite irritating
Recently have had the same issue
I've had the same issue as well, noticed my port smelled like a shorted circuit, also noticed it only occurs when connected to fast chargers (the stock charger that it came with) started using the side port for fast charging, but noticed earlier today that the side port began to give off the same smell and disconnected it before it gave a notification for it. The phone instructs me to go to a Asus service area like there's gonna be a convenient one around the corner but I live in California and according to the Asus website closest one is in New York. Smdh.

Is your phone a US or China model? Any signs of pocket lint in the ports?

I have the china model(tencent games) 128 gb version same as OP, when the issue first happened the first thing I did was try to blow any possible lint out that could've been in there, I didn't explicitly see any but I did so just in case.
I don't know about the smell but that thing certainly overheat randomly when charging.
I have 2 ROG phones, 1) 512/CN converted to WW version 2)Utimate Edition WW.
Both phones having charging issues. 1 got the overheating message while in my pocket and not being charged. Now only works with non fast charging on bottom port but side still works. 2 I put on charge one night and woke up to it not having charged at all. It's basically brand new and in same situation as the first one, fast charging only through side port and only certain slow chargers work on bottom port.
I am having sudden issues with bottom usb port. It refuses to detect any kind of charger after 4 to 5 hours of being unplugged.
A restart solves the issue and I can charge. But re-occur after another 4 to 5 hrs. Its so weird
Side port is working fine
I have the exact same issue, but mine comes up with the temperature warning and doesnt charge at all.
Haven't tried the side port which I will do later.
Not really keen on sending it back to the place of purchase (I did report it) because they may charge a fee (plus shipping is already out of pocket),
anyone get anywhere on a fix?
I have it too just 3 days after purchased. USB port was short circuited I guess. Seems a latent design defect not an user issue. Mine is global version not Tencent
I have the same issue as well. Sometimes it just writes USB port temp too high, then restarts on its own, but is still overheating. I switch it completely off, then it seems to work. I have this problem mostly even without any charger plugged in... It is occurring since the last update in March-April more frequently
I use a Rog phone 2 ultimate edition and i also experience the same problem. I have been charging for less than an hour when the alarm sounded that the usb port is overheating. Charging port smelled something like a short circuit and tried to charge again on the same port. Now red light blinks and the alarm still on. Now im charging on the side port. But still this is alarming. Considering it is a gaming phone. It supose to endure long and extreme usage.
I had issue with charger and via twinviedock overheating message.... CN 128gb ver on WW... Safe to say after ROG 1 and two ROG 2 broke screen small fall... Not buying again
Same here. Bottom port burnt off, so I'm using the side one now. Hopefully it doesn't get any issues until i send it for repair.
It just happened this week on my phone, exact same problem as others. Short circuit smell the first time the warning appeared. I only knew about it because of a loud 'ding-dong' alarm that went off with the notification.
I'm also getting the alarm and notification when I'm not charging the phone. The alarm went off at 06:30 a.m. today.
Have to use the side port now.
Chinese Tencent Version
I'm just glad that none of these phones are exploding.
