[Solved] Bricked SO-02G - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently I rooted my phone (Docomo version) I also install twrp, my dumba** thought it would be a good idea to flash Slimm ROM, so I install the rom. I can't boot into Android, when I plug the phone to a computer it automatically boot into flash mode

Probably you need to flash recovery again, boot into recovery using hard buttons and CLEAN flash rom. A dirty flash may result into bootloop. Let me know the result.

As long as it works bug-free, it really doesn't matter.

Sorry in advance but need advice

First, sorry if this has been covered already but ive done my searching around and I'm still confused.
Im looking to flash a custom ROM. I'm already rooted and running dual recovery. I'm on the T-Mobile XZ C6606. Looking at the development sections, and this phone seems more complicated when it comes to flashing than others. Can someone point me to the right direction.
All I want to do is flash a custom stock based ROM with good battery. I see Roms that say u need to flash old firmware first using flashtool but those firmwares are for other models.
I'm also debating on unlocking the bootloader but it says I would lose the bravia Engine, would a custom ROM bring it back?

If you want to flash any custom ROM that is NOT based on stock ROM, such as CM/AOSP, you need an unlocked bootloader. I suggest that, if you want to unlock your bootloader, you first backup your DRM keys.
All this info is found in this forum. I'm still getting familiar with it myself, as I haven't even purchased my XZ yet.
First, you can't unlock the bootloader of your device, so forget about that idea. All T Mobile Z are unlockable.
Second, now that you have recovery installed, it is just a matter of downloading the zip file containing the rom you want and flash it. Afaik, all C6603 roms are compatible with yoyr device, but itll be good if you ask before on the thread of the rom you want to try.

ok, because im not new to flashing but on the rom pages, the installing instructions are making it seem more complicated than building a time machine. For example here one:
------BACKUP any critical data to microSD
Copy this rom zip package to microSD
Flash stock Sony's firmware (FTF) 10.1.A.434 (for android 4.1.2) or 10.3.A.0.423 (for android 4.2.2) using flashtools
Root using any available method
Install any available recovery (TWRP recommended)
Reboot in recovery, do factory reset & install rom until finish
Turn off device. (Hold power button + vol up until vibrates 3 times)
Flash latest Sony's firmware (FTF) matching current latest monxDIFIED base rom using flashtools. Uncheck all WIPE options and exclude all EXCEPT KERNEL & BASEBAND to get latest matched kernel & baseband.
Turn on phone. Done.-------
But, ur saying i just need to flash a rom like normal right?
---Wipe data, Flash custom rom and reboot?
Also, in the dual recovery page, it stated that i need to flash the LockedDualRecovery file after flashing rom, is this still relevant?

Those install instructions are ancient. Back then, you had to go to back to that exploitable firmware to root and install recovery. Skip those steps, you have recovery already installed.

I think that you can flash that Globe version too (just pay attention is it P or not (firmware and your phone), it is just difference in bloatware from that provider.
Try looking on samsung-updates.com too.

its i9070 only. i found some fw in officialrom.com i think and it has same build version from live.samsung-updates.com.
the problem with my phone is that i was running twrp and a custom rom tried installing carbon over it. it was a success but then i dont like much the carbon custom rom so i tried to reflash it thru recovery. boot to recovery using quickboot(phone got a busted volume keys) i found out that twrp was replace with cwm so i wipe data/cache/factory and flash it with cocore+twrp then reboot system and it got stock in boot logo. but i can go to download mode volume down+home+power. only problem is volume up isnt working lol. so i order volume keys waiting for it to arrive so that i could install it and try to fix my phone. i still dont know yet if i could go to recovery mode.
thanks =)

You should do reboot recovery option in TWRP. But still you can't go back from CM10.2 and CM11 to stock without repartitioning /preload partition. You will get bootloop too... You must flash stock firmware or use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612540

You was not planning, but you must repartition that preload partition. With that script or with flashing stock firmware.
P.S. If you mean ROM Pure Vanilla - it is based on stock ROM. It is themed stock ROM.

{ROM}[STOCK][TX][JB 4.3][9.2.A.1.215] Deodexed + Zipaligned + Philz Recovery

XPERIA TX - JB 4.3 - 9.2.A.1.215 OFFICIAL HK STOCK ROM - FLASHABLE ZIP
Based on the latest .215 FTF, pure stock ROM, no custom themes, superuser mod, etc.
Downloads:
1.- Rom zip
2.- SuperSU
Basic flashing instructions apply:
1.- Flash LT29i_signed_092514_225838.zip
2.- Flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip
PhilZ Touch CWM Advanced Edition is included. No need to flash separately. Stock kernel is also included and flashed with the ROM, which means it'll most likely work on locked bootloaders (haven't seen it not work so far), but if it doesn't, just use Flashtool to flash a Stock Kernel with fastboot, which I can upload on request. I am not responsible for users having to reflash their stock FTF.
In case anyone is interested and has an unlocked bootloader, the following link has a modded Stock Kernel which enables Init.d support for running scripts on boot without having to use apps or other methods that delay boot time or depend on the app starting up first.
1.- http://www.mediafire.com/download/84430bo4m8pcbk5/initd_kernel_lt29i.zip
Thanks:
@jorgex94, @BreckZeBoulay, @devilmaycry2020, and @istux for collectively posting the links and maintaining the information/downloads for Stock ROMs.

Google services framework fails installation. help please!

Hi guys,
I bought my device in China. It comes with baidu preinstalled and no sign of google.
I thought if I rooted it I would be able to install google services and then google play and etc.
I rooted it but when I run the APK for google services, it installs it and when I go to add an account (I tried both "new account and existing") it gives me a error message:
"Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server"
"This could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care."
Device details: "Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T815C"; Android 5.0.1;
I am using the device only with wifi at the moment. is there anyway to get google services, google play installed in this device? please let me know.
thank you!
Can you flash an alternate rom through odin... One for another market that will have everything installed.
any idea for this issue? I have exactly the same problem! thanks!
As above, why don't you just flash an appropriate rom?

Hi, Ashyx, many thanks for your reply. I would very much like to flash an appropriate rom. However I have no idea what to do exactly.
I noticed you just released TWRP 3.0.2-1 for T710, which is my device bought from China.
I am very new in flashing Android tab/phone. As I understood, I need to flash above Recovery into my S2 tab and then install an GAPPS package.
1. root the tablet (I have done)
2. Flash Recovery TWRP 3.0.2-1 into the tab by using Odin
3. Copy a GAPPS into the tab
4. Install the GAPPS by using TWRP Recovery 'install zip' function
Am I right?
Is it possible to just flash an factory Rom which is for UK market S2?
Thank you!

Flashing gapps probably won't work as you need the whole framework.
Go to Sammobile.com and download a suitable Rom and flash with odin. Try Hong Kong.
Make a full backup of yours with twrp first.

Titan twrp can't load any zip files

Good morning guys,
This is my first time trying to install any CM rom on my 2014 Moto G with original 6.0 Marshmallow system, had a little trouble unlocking the bootloader, but solved that in a little while and after that i sucessfully installed TWRP touch but could not flash any zip file from it (including a super user zip, after executing a "run.bat" file required first). After some hours of trying hard, i used the factory reset from the bootloader and after the process was done my wifi and another features stopped working, so i installed a stock kit-kat rom and got everything back to work, problem solved. Unfortunately my TWRP still can't flash the superuser file, and I really wanted to run some custom Nougat rom on my device. Bootloader still unlocked code 3, device fully working on kitkat, but need some tips on how to get over the TWRP trouble I've been dealing with.
Thank you for reading, sorry for bad english.

What error TWRP give? I think its because your new(android 6) bootloader isn't compatible with many roms. I don't know how to fix it :/ but you need to care, many users have hard bricked their devices like that.
