cool. after long time aospa back

flashed ROM and opengapps. at first boot, just as i completed setup phone hot rebooted. would not fully boot, just sat on ANDROID screen. rebooted the phone by holding power button for 10 seconds. booted and setup started over, but after first page it was auto-rebooting and never would allow me to complete setup. unusable, as-is

Same happening with me, but without gapps it boots just fine :/

Installation instructions

You can read: Hal1 default
so you need to activate hal3 for gcam, btw in the next days we want to boost up the development of this rom for our device, thanks for feedback.
I suggest to add the testing rom instead to stable.

Hello Sir how to activate hal3?

This was my favorite ROM on my previous device, Lenovo P2. I loved the smooth animations. Can anyone confirm that hal3 can be enabled seamlessly? And exactly which steps should be taken? Ability to use GCam is the only thing that's holding me back from switching to Revenge OS.

In system/build.prop file search for HAL and you should find something like this: persist.camera.hal3.enabled=0
Now change 0 to 1, save the file and reboot.
Also if there was no line about it, paste it, save and reboot.
persist.camera.hal3.enabled=1

I installed the new build posted today. It wasn't announced neither here or on Telegram. Animations are smooth as always. GCam seems to work flawlessly, bur WhatsApp camera is broken, which was exactly how it was on my previous ROM AEX. So far so good.

Only if you're coming from MIUI.
Fast charge doesn't work. Sometimes the clock only shows the hour and instead of minutes, there are just dots. Lock screen notifications also randomly disappear.

Device is not certified in PlayStore

@GiaSen whatsapp web FC when trying to scan QR code.

This is how the minutes disappear from the clock occasionally. If the dev could fix the notifications not showing properly on lock screen bug that would be awesome.

Best AOSP ROM so far. Thx to dev. keep it updated

Im facing the same bug, sometimes after a reboot the fp works normally but other times it just dissapears

This ROM is several times faster than the other ones.
Feels like I'm using former flagship device again.
This is probably the only properly working Pie based ROM out there.
Also, no battery drain and random overheating.

I'm using it for months... its, good one good battery in latest few builds!

I have the same problem, as you described. And it take place every time i switch from camera to recorder, and back from recorder to camera. But i live with it - installed GCam 6.1 Advanced - port from Arnova8G2 and it works without such problems.

Tried and liked it. Good battery life. Had several problems using opengapps and start my Google account to restore my apps. I could only start with new phone option. Had this issue also in older lineage16 releases.
Sadly also could not use WiFi direct display from the build. was not working.

Ive run into some troubles with fp, sometimes after a reboot its gone, so after a couple of reboots it starts working again

anyone try new version RR-P-v7.0.2-20190916-capricorn-Final ?

I tried, but was having soft restarts, so back to previous and ots ok now.

First you need to have this recovery:

and you need to be on A12 (Miui 13 or any other aosp 12 ROM), boot into recovery, wipe data, caches, format if first time installing (no need if on another aosp ROM), flash rom, flash magisk (only if you want root), flash decrypt script (only if you want system wide decryption which makes backup and restore like a charm, if fully encrypted restore isn't possible), reboot system and you are done. Make sure you backup all your data before format, hope this helps, cheers.

Best A12 ROM, in my opinion and after trying all the A12 ROMs, fluid, thunder fast, no lag on fingerprint unlock, too early to say about battery consumption, gcam instals nicely and working fine (ultra wide lens working fine with stills and video and so is selfie camera) safetynet pass like a charm, magisk 24.1 (install safetynet magisk module), widvine L1 (netflix and all Google services as well as banking apps should be in zygisk enforce deny list), fast charging works well, Viper4Android working bang on perfect

yes you are right its a bit heavy on juice, I think the cores need to be shut down on idle, its possible only if a custom kernel was available, cheers

I try 'immensity x 4.19.203' kernel from august 2021, its for android R - but everything working good, very smooth and battery not draining so fast, i think!

I am back on latest official Arrow 12, after few days with Streak, i think Arrow is most stable and smooth again.

This one has more customizations and features, also has the pixel launcher and dialer already installed.

Thanks for this ROM, first impressions seem good.
Only thing I had an issue with is that on clean install with TWRP on OS boot it rebooted to recovery and needed to be reset, setup and then to flash TWRP.

"We have our OTA updater app inside the ROM, so you wont ever miss an update when it comes out."

Is there an option to set 5 columns where we have the apps? Right now it's 4 columns and I would like to set it to 5.

On Wallpaper and style settings has an option. Seek for App Grid.

Voice match (ok google) doesn't work (the same issue in the spark os a12 build).
I've read it can be because google is not a system app. (Trying this may fix it?)

Just found another bugs. After rooting mtp connection lost (same issue on Corvus OS, anyone haven't know how to fix it); After rooting there are no icons in the apps list in the stock launcher.
About first one. After rooting persist.sys.usb (~similar toggle name in build.prop) was set to none. I've changed it to mtp,adb with no result.

Switching from ArrowOS to this rom, great job, everything work as expected.
Most of features are present , very fluid.
Hope this rom will be continued and updated with monthly security patches.
I'm not interested by cosmetic changes or pixels arrangements or rounded corners.
It's a big chance to have developpers supporting roms for this (old) phone.
Let's go back to main purpose of a phone with security and speed.

I rooted my device too. There's no problem for me.

When will this ROM be official? In my opinion everything is working good.
