is root possible? - ZTE Axon 11 4G Questions & Answers

Hey,
is it possible to root the Axon 11 4g ?
I would spend some bugs for a guide how to.
Regards
Rene

Its a bit problematic, there is a allow oem unlocking toggle in the developer setting but it sets the unlock allowed value for fastboot from 0 (or 1 wichever was unlocking disallowed) to some very high number but it should be 1 (or 0 wichever was unlock allowed) so you would have to find some exploit around that or that zte "fixes" it in a future update
edit: seen somebody brick theirs by flashing some boot.img so it may only be a bug on my device

Downgrade method still works after August patch

hey guys, been a painful 3 days lol( busy looking for a nokia 5 stock rom instead of a nb0 rom lmao!!).
The method works am now on 7. so guys go right ahead and downgrade if you wanna do it.
P.s 1. search for nbo and not stock rom
2. When the setting up comes what you need to do is click setup with no network. this way you will prevent the system from taking you straight to updates!.
Next step root and enjoy?
Please provide the link of nb0 ROM for Nokia 5 ta -1053
its also safe to downgrade Nokia ta-1024 from pie to nougat with nost bootloader will still be unlocker .

Greetings;
I've been out from Android Modding and Development for quite some time and I'm a little bit lost at the moment.
Where do you guys find the nb0 files and how do you select them for your devices?
I'm looking for a source for several Nokia devices; but most specific for the TA-1024
Thanks in advance.
Best regards;

Here is the nougat nb0 file that I use (with nost). It may fail midway through btw but don't worry if it does it happen to me often, just start again & select the wipe user data option
I m not sure you can downgrade with locked BL but I downgrade from pie with unlock easily

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Regarding that error, before you flash any room you should always clean Dalvik cache, Cache and Wipe user data. That prevents errors, and duplicate data or applications.
I couldn't find "unlock easy" to see if I can manage do unlock the bootloader. Is this a tool that can be found on the forum?
As far as I know without bootloader unlocked you're not able to flash anything, including recovery.
Fastboot will refuse any flashing options.

As far as I know this is the only way to unlock BL on the Nokia 5, if you wanna root on pie. See this thread for all the info you'll need. Good luck!

Already tried that.
OEM Unlock option returns 0 (even when enabled and toggled on).
Bootloader Unlock option is not present.
I see that nowadays is quite difficult to get root & unlock the bootloader.
Fastboot OEM Report:
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
...
The first thing that occurrs to me is that the phone is carrier locked (even though) I can use any SIM.

That's wierd. My 1024 was piece of cake to root. I think you right that the carrier modél is a lot different to unlocked variant

[Solved] Bootloader unlock allowed but OEM Unlocking toggle is greyed

Hi everyone
I am trying to back up my TA partition using @j4nn's tool and I successfully downgraded to 47.1.A.8.49 and archived my partition. Now I am trying to unlock my bootloader.
In the service menu, the rooting status states:
>Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes
and the "ro.oem_unlock_supported" property is set to 'True'.
However, in developer options, the toggle for OEM Unlocking is greyed out and the "ro.boot.flash.locked" property is also set to 1. Also unlocking in fastboot fails with 'command not allowed'
Has anyone encountered a situation like this where bootloader unlocking is allowed but the toggle is disabled? Is it related to downgrading to 47.1.A.8.49?

You truly got me. Just checked it on my (still locked) xz1c and I had the option greyed too, could not be enabled.
I guess it is not enabled by default unless the phone goes online on internet at least one time.
As suggested with the option, if you connect to internet, it gets enabled - just tested it.
Please post your results in the exploit thread. Thanks.

Don't know whether or not it's a glitch but my 'OEM unlocking' is stuck in the enabled position, even after a hard reset. I'm on Android 10.
EDIT: safe to say that still does nothing.
C:\adb>fastboot oem unlock
FAILED (remote: 'Flashing Unlock is not allowed')
fastboot: error: Command failed

Hm...
So what you're saying is that there are no Nokia 7 Plus' that have an unlockable bootloader? Or, to put it another way, do all Nokia 7 Plus' have the option "OEM unlocking" set to off? With no way of switching it on?
Or is there a way to switch it on?
I have booted into download mode, and fastboot flashing unlock, but it returns 0 or failed to unlock.
oh wait... I saw your other post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78764676&postcount=3 In reference to the first item, the website is hikaricalyx?

Ok... so... for Nokia 7 Plus...
I need to download ntools, HMD rom for version 8, android 8, adb/fastboot.
Then downgrade to version 8.
Flash HMD version 8 rom. (But how do I flash when it's still locked? Or does downgrading to 8 allow the option oem unlocking to be turned on?)
Unlock bootloader.
Use magisk to get root.
Is that the steps? Or am I missing something?
Search for techmaesto.
techmesto dot com/how-to-downgrade-nokia-7-plus-from-stable-pie-to-stable-oreo/
I'm using that guide, and I get up to the part where I update via SD card. But it says that the update package is older than the current build and downgrade not allowed.
What can be done about this?
Anyone know if Nokia will ever allow the bootloader to be unlocked?

A new thought about unlocking the bootloader of SO-02K

it is well-known that the bootloader of SO-02K is often unlockable.
with little knowledge of sony devices,i bought a SO-02K mistakenly.
i tried my best to provide any thought to unlocked it.
after a lot of research work i found a software that isn't free and it's really expensive when compared with the price of SO-02k.
the software is called qunlocked tool.
sourcepage:
www.52pojie.cn
this software could be downloaded here:
qUnlockTool.exe - 蓝奏云
文件大小:3.7 M|
topjohnwu.lanzous.com
the software first check the credits with the server and if the account had the credits, which is sold about $25 per credit, then will calculate a unlockcode for the device, and then unlocked the device.
i didn't pay for it,since i had no acess to either google or paypal.
there is a old chinese proverb goes that "wan neng de tao bao",which means you could pay to someone on the web site Taobao.com to solve almost anything, so i just turn to it.
form one advertisement i found the process of the software, which is also mentioned in the source page.
i found that the unlocked code calculated by the software is simply "1234567890ABCDEF",which is too easy to be an unlock code.
i tried to unlock my own phone with the code, but it failed.
i guess the software may have 2 ways to unlock xperia phones:
1:the fastboot itself provides the ways to use extra functions defined by manufactors, which won't be shown with just simple command line like "fastboot -h",e,g :"fastboot oem unlock"
maybe the sony had define 2 functions like "fastboot oem unlock","fastboot oem unlock2",then they uses "fastboot oem unlock" to verify whether you had the right,if yes, then turn to "fastboot oem unlock2" to do the real process of bootloader unlock.
2:the software had do something to my phone ,cheated my phone to recognize the fake code.
maybe someone would help?

The tool is legit? What was the bootloader unlock status before "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"? One thought on the alternate fastboot unlock command is a value known as remoteUnlock. You could extract the .exe with 7zip to further unravel the unlocking commands utilized along with decompiling other files code (if neccessary). Have an XZs that could benefit from this as it is currently "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"

In fact I donn know either the software is legit nor how the software works.i just guess it may work in 2 ways.in fact it is not only the fastboot.exe provided by Sony but also any fastboot.exe works.
I'll try the remote unlock command, but could kindly tell me how you get the commands?

I didn't get the command from the bootloader; there is a value that is stored on some phones in the device info known as RemoteUnlockState. Finding all the commands for the bootloader will require digging through Qualcomm's documentation and/or finding something that has been leaked indicating other commands able to be used. My guess isn't neccessarily correct, but I think you are right, there are other commands that allow rooting the device and those commands must have some other context that can be found withing a module or system (i.e. SELinux).

How to unlock bootloader on Oneplus Nord N100

Hello everybody
I need to know if there is a method to unlock the bootloader for an Oneplus Nord N100 but the BE2015 model (Metro PCS by T-Mobile) because I have not found out how to do it in this Forums
My smartphone is running Android 11 by an update (version 11.0.9.BE82CF).
My goal is to unlock the bootloader in order to install TWRP for a future custon ROM
Thanks to everybody and excuse my English.
Happy 2023
If I understand correctly you have to have the phone for 180(?) days and then "OEM unlock" will be available in developer settings. Then you have to request en unlock token from T-Mobile. (I don't have an american phone, I'm not 100% on the method)
You can get an unstable TWRP for this phone, but it will have very limited functionality. And custom ROMs is basically a forgotten dream on this phone.
Basically what you can do is sideload Magisk through TWRP (you have to use adb sideload command) and some people have installed GSI ROMs.

Really I bought the phone already unlocked, it has the "OEM unlock" function in the "Developer options". Because I didn't buy the phone directly from T-Mobile it's impossible to request the unlock token, so better I continue using it normally until I can buy another phone (I didn't comment but I live in Cuba...)
Thanks anyway for your answer...

I think you might be able to load a European/Global ROM through MSM tools. Then you can use OEM unlock command without token. Rummage through the N100 forums here and you can find guides.

If all you want to do is unlock the bootloader I think you can just do this.
** WARNING: YOUR DATA WILL BE WIPED **
1. enable developer options -> oem unlock
2. start adb
3. adb reboot fastboot
4 fastboot oem unlock
if step 4 fails then try
5. fastboot reboot fastboot
6. fastboot oem unlock
The phone will show a screen to confirm unlocking. YOUR DATA WILL BE WIPED.
7. fastboot reboot
The phone should reboot. Unfortunately It will display an annoying message warning the bootloader is unlocked for quite a while before it boots into system from now on.
BTW: I had problems with twrp 3.5 for Nord N100 floating around these forums. Latest is twrp 3.7 which I'm still suspicious of. All of my flashing using TWRP on the N100 has resulted in bricking.
My successful flashes have been with fastboot.
I use TWRP on another phone and it works like a dream.
Hi,
In step 3, do
adb reboot bootloader
This will reboot in the ancient fastboot, not fastbootd. This is in this mode that you can unlock the bootloader.
